Its been literally 48 hours, and its already back to the same old "Champ is here" crap. Within only 2 days, WWE has not only basically handed over the WHC to Cena, but they had him completely destroy Jericho not once, but twice.
Lets see.
Same old promo about how Cena fights for the Fans - Check
Same old John Cena match with him winning "suddenly" - Check
Same old SUPERMAN Cena, where nothing can hurt him - Check
I tried to give him a chance, and WWE a chance as well. I figured maybe they'd do something different this time. Maybe give him a new spin on his gimmick (if thats what you call it). And boy was I right. They made him angry. They took a guy, who's notorious for making his "challengers" look like they can't even hurt him, let alone beat him, and they made him angry.
He's strong, he's angry, and he's unbeatable. Congratulations WWE. You've officially made John Cena into the Hulk.

It's just that today's internet fans have a different (i.e. more negative) attitude than that of yesteryear. Hulk Hogan was doing the exact same thing for a decade and nobody cared. I don't mind because WWE needs a face of the brand and it's not gonna be CM Punk/Orton/Batista/Edge.

Get over it. It would look stupid to have Cena win the belt and then come out the next night on Raw, still fresh from his return, and get demolished. They built it up well. Jericho'll get the upperhand soon enough, and he'll lose at Armageddon, which is fine. While I think he should have won the belt at Armageddon, he didn't, and that's life. He'll keep it as he should.

Pretty sure I'm entitled to my own opinion. If this turns into a "fight" post, I don't hold any responsibility for that. If someone wants to come in and give me a good argument as to why I shouldn't be upset with Cena and WWE, then that's great. In fact, that's what I'm hoping for.

Totally agree about how they demean titles now. I loved it when the title really meant something and companies didn't move the title numerous times within a short period of time.

Personally I think the entire segment was great.
It got Jericho heat, Cena acclaim from the fans and made a feud that has been pretty much non-existent something exciting. Cena showed a more aggressive and serious side towards the end, which people have been wanting from him.

Basically Jericho was never supposed to have it in the first place, Cena was supposed to retain or at least stay in the feud with Batista, then he got injured. Now they're just picking up where they left off.
The reality all you guys will have to learn to live with is that from now until retirement, John Cena will be either world champion or right in the title picture. He's too big of a name and a draw now for them to kick him down, he's become the face of the entire company, and like it or not that can't change. The reason we all saw it coming is because that nobody is going to believe him going over Cena clean, so in a few months I'm sure he'll cheat to win it back, but everyone will still bitch and moan.

Now they're just picking up where they left off. it's possible Jericho would have still got the title if Cena had still been around tho.. remember when Cena got injured Punk was champ and Cena/Batista was going on...so it's possible they would have still had Jericho win the belt... and they aren't really picking up w/ where they left off...b/c they left off w/ Batista and Cena fighting...

Everyone complains about Cena being back and being the champ. The same can be said for Edge. Yes Cena being champ again is annoying, but I've learned to deal with it. I'm actually interested in Cena/Batista for Wrestlemania (that looks like where they're headed).

Don't forget that Edge does it in different ways, he's entertaining and he can win cleanly and cheating, and has very good angles.
