BackstoryAs the year of 2009 came a knocking British legendary grappler, Kendo Nagasaki looked at the British wrestling scene. There were good promotions such as 1PW, LDN and RQW but they had one thing in common, one thing letting them down, Well known names. Nagasaki then started calling up some of his friends in the business who talked about he should set up his own promotion! Nagasaki shook his head, he couldn’t run his own promotion after all like the other promotions he had no star power. But what if he could set up a promotion that works limited dates, like once a month. Top American wrestlers would come in and grapple with our UK stars. Sadly he knew it wasn’t going to work but his friends convinced him and one of them even offered him a TV slot! It wasn’t going to be prime time on ITV unlike the days when Nagasaki was in the ring but it was a way for everyone to watch, Fridays 9pm on ITV3. Nagasaki thought it over, could he bring back British wrestling? “Well its worth a try” said Nagasaki as he finished his phone call with a smile on his face.

I have a feeling that you're going to do a great job on this. It reminds me of one of my first diaries, which I unfortunately can't remember the name of right now. It'd be awesome if you gave Pac and obviously, Vin Gerard, a huge push. Good luck with this, amigo.

Nice to see something different than the traditional WWE/TNA 2008/2009 type stuff. Should be good. And I hope to see your Paul London diary back soon.

Think I cut that Darren Burridge KYKY, hehe. Always a fan of British wrestling and also of British diaries, they never get long runs so lets see if you can pull it off, Dragon.

I'm hoping for Generico, Naturals, Hero, PAC, Cabana, and Strong to pick up the victory. This should be good RD, I have a feeling you'll be able to capture the feeling very well. Good luck with the first show.

This looks awesome. You have a fantastic roster. Pulling for Black to win the tournament. Wondering where Nigel is in the tournament though.

Loving how this is on ITV3. If this actually did happen in real life, I would watch it weekly. The first card looks good.

Gold4GloryThe seats look packed and theres a good variety of fans here. This is a special to kick off BWX series one, it will be shown over 2 weeks on ITV3. They all seem hyped up especially as its filmed for TV. The show then starts, the announcer welcomes us to BWX- British Wrestling X. 'Your Hero' Chris Hero vs. SpudIn the start this was your typical squash, Spud is a top indy wrestler from the UK but only being 5’5 it gave him a huge disadvantage. His opponent and major American indy veteran Chris Hero just destroyed him and gave Spud some painful chops in the corner. The fans were fully behind Spud and Spud used this as he hit a jawbreaker and followed up with some kicks. In the end however Hero picked up Spud and hit a Hero’s Welcome for the win. Winner: Chris Hero (12:46 via pinfall) 'The Man that Gravity Forgot' PAC vs. Jimmy Jacobs PAC amazed the UK crowd here with his athleticism on full display as he picked apart Jimmy Jacobs with his fast paced offence. Jimmy soon slowed PAC down and worked over PAC’s right leg knowing if he weakened it enough PAC would have limited moves. Jacobs then got ready for Contra Code and went into the corner but PAC somehow also flipped off the turnbuckle and over Jacobs into a roll up to get PAC to advance to the next round. PAC lead the crowd to a “Easy” chant. Winner: PAC (9:21 via Pinfall) Backstage we see Tyler Black preparing as the announcers big-up his match with Roderick Strong then Jimmy Jacobs walks in holding his head. Jacobs tells him that PAC has screwed him out of a victory, now Tyler must win to bring the gold to the Age of the Fall. Non-Tourney Action'Ole' El Generico vs. Sterling James KeenanSome good comedy to start this off but not for long as SJK goes in for the kill. However Generico is able to dodge SJK before hitting a springboard crossbody to get a two count. SJK starts to fight back and eventually gets Generico in a super-superplex which Generico counters and goes to hit a 450 splash only for SJK to move out of the way. SJK takes the advantage with a MK Ultra. Winner: Sterling James Keenan (8:58 via pinfall) After the match SJK goes to leave only to see Generico get to his feet. SJK goes back in the ring and hits him with another MK Ultra. He then gets a steel chair and nails the masked Generico laying him out on the mat. SJK shouts ‘Stay Down’ and as he leaves shows his tattooed knuckes with the same words upon them. Before the match starts Colt Cabana gets the steamer welcome and a ‘Welcome back’ chant as he only returned to the indy’s only a month ago. This is also his return match to the UK. Colt gets on the mic and does the obligatory ‘thank you’ speech before Darren Burridge walks out. He hugs Cabana and leads his own welcome back chant to Cabana as Colt looks on confused. Burridge tells the story of how Colt and himself were on top of the world with championships around their waists as Team SHAG until Cabana signed with the ‘E. Burridge turns on Cabana and tells him how he had to drop the titles because of him. The match then starts. 'Da Pukka One' Darren Burridge vs. 'Classic' Colt Cabana No comedy from either men tonight just a pure wrestling match, ‘Da Pukka One’ looked awkward as he always does but put on a good match. Cabana also took Burridge into the crowd the suplexed him back out. Burridge also had his share of the match and laided a running big boot to decapatate Cabana but Colt fought thought the pain and hit the Colt.45 for the win. Winner: Colt Cabana (13:48 via pinfall) Cabana grabbed a mic and went over to the fallen Burridge and said “I’m sorry” in a serious manner after leaving him to got to the ‘E. 'The Messiah of the Backbreaker' Roderick Strong vs. Tyler BlackBack and forth, back and forth is the best way to describe this. Each man didn’t want to quit and they went blow for blow during this match. Strong just threw out chops in this match and Black could only fire back with his own until their chests were beating red. Although both men play heels the crowd were behind both men at times. Strong hit a big backbreaker on the outside and it looked like Black would be counted out but he rolled in on the 9-count and finally hit a Phoenix Splash for the win. Winner: Tyler Black (10:10 via pinfall) Backstage Jimmy Jacobs was standing by congratulating Black on his win saying only 2 more matches left and he will be BWX Champion. Black looked at Jacobs and gave his a weak “2 matches!” as he collapsed on the bench Tag Team MatchThe Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stephens) vs. Up in Smoke (Cheech and Cloudy)This match was to break up to the tournament action and played a completely different style to the other matches. Both teams of lightweights flew across the ring in attempt to impress the crowd. Some of the memorable spots were: A diving senton to the outside by Cloudy, a diving cross body of the top into the crowd by Cheech and some double team moves by the Naturals. The crowd seemed more behind Up in Smoke in this match and they got the win with their doomsday shinning wizard. Winner: Up in Smoke [Cheech and Cloudy] (8:23 via pinfall) ‘Your Hero’ Chris Hero vs. 'The Man that Gravity Forgot' PACPAC started off the match outwitting Hero leading to the classic UK chant ‘Easy.’ Hero proved the crowd wrong however as he took lead of the match and hit a roaring elbow. PAC sold all the moves great which really added to the match, PAC kicked back and hit a nice hurricanarana to take Hero to the outside were PAC hit a SSP to the floor. Then as the referee started to count them out Tyler Black came from the crowd and started distracted the ref saying it was “Time for his match” but this was only for Jimmy Jacobs to run out and hit PAC with the spike! Hero rolled PAC into the ring were he lifted him up for a Hero’s Welcome for the win to have Hero advance to the finals. Winner: Chris Hero (7:59 via pinfall) 'Classic' Colt Cabana vs. Tyler BlackAnother good performance by Tyler Black this time topping his previous match with Roderick Strong. Cabana seemed to lighten up a bit in this match and pulled out some old favourites like the flying bunghole he also used some comedy spots. Black pulled it back with some moved to make the crowd ohh even though he was the heel but in the end Black met the same fate as Darren Burridge as Colt hit the Colt.45 to advance to the finals. Winner: Colt Cabana (16:03 via pinfall) Backstage interviewer Leticia Cline (former TNA interviewer and playboy model) was backstage with Chris Hero. Hero said Colt had no chance of winning tonight as Hero has always been the best. “Not just in Britain, not just in Europe, but the World!” BWX World Champion‘Your Hero’ Chris Hero vs. 'Classic' Colt CabanaThese two battled it out in what you would expect to see on a lower card ROH match. This wasn’t the best match of the night but showed it could be so much better if they both hadn’t competed in two matches earlier. The match was based around many near falls which lead the crowd to get off their feet numerous times as they thought we had crowned a champion. Hero finally caught Colt in a Hero’s Welcome but Colt kicked out then after a long fight to get to his feet he hit the Colt.45 to become the first ever BWX World Champion. Winner: Colt Cabana (11:56 via pinfall) Colt just about got to his feet and legendary wrestler Kendo Nagasaki walked out in full costume (rope, mask and all) and awarded Cabana the world title. The crowd chanted his name as he raised the gold above his head. MOTN- Colt Cabana vs. Tyler Black Most Over- Colt Cabana

Hero winning is cool, a Spud win would have been both suprising and... bad. Would have preferred Jacobs > PAC but still, no disaster PAC won. Dont give PAC the belt though, please. Would ahve preffered Generico to win here but again have no real probs with Keenan. Glad Cabana beat Burridge, im a Cabana fan, tbh. Him or Hero for champ. Again I'd of preferred Strong to win here. Would have preferred the naturals to win (lol, why so many ones I want to win losing XD) wanna see were you go with this so I'll definetly give this diary reading time. Yay, Hero through after beating PAC. Cabana beat black= good my 2 favourites in this tournament in the final. Cabana to win please. Haha, Cabana won :-D I'll definetly be reading this and want to see what you do when Shelley etc get itnroduced. Reply SD! 2008+ please :-)
