Excellent choice of opener and a great bit of booking bringing the shoulder injury into play a little bit with the finish - good to see Edge being used as a talent to put over at this stage in his career. Sheamus has enormous potential and I'd love a join us or get crushed sort of scenario with him and the Best in the World stable. Excellent follow up with an exciting four way for the ECW title - surprised to see Wade booked stronger than Ezekiel but I like it. Perhaps Zeke is ready for promotion to RAW and Barrett to challenge for the platinum? Awesome match to follow and I love the finish; makes Shelton look strong in defeat as his effort was just a little overzealous and it costs him. Orton vs Christian is surely next, Orton is so hot right now after back to back wins over Mysterio and Benjamin? Somewhat disappointed to see Kofi take the fall and Best in the World win - would have preferred to see Jeff take it as he could look better in losing. Kofi needs to look strong because he seems to be losing every big match at the moment. Christian and Miz has been an (pardon the pun) awesome rivalry, and Christian finally defeating him makes him a valiant champion. Miz can bounce back, but I wonder where he fits now on Smackdown? AJ winning the Women's Championship is great - Gail Kim doesn't need the title and having a champion with a character with as much potential as AJ really opens up your options. I suspect that Angle and Punk will have a submission match to follow up at Breaking Point? The match was well booked and allows a follow up that is guaranteed money in my eyes. Pretty standard booking on the main event, think we all saw Cena getting screwed coming!! Looking forward to what comes next; on the whole this was a very well booked PPV, my only concern being another hit to Kofi's momentum.

August 16th, 2010 | Staples Center in Los Angeles, California | Attendance: 14,044
- Following the WWE signature, a recap of last night's historic SummerSlam Pay-Per-View is shown. The focus is on the Best in the World's success as Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger defeated Jeff Hardy and Kofi Kingston before Chris Jericho successfully retained the World Heavyweight Championship against John Cena. Cutting to the arena, Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcome everyone to Monday Night Raw. They inform everyone of a story that broke on wwe.com earlier today saying that the Scramble Matches will return at Breaking Point!
- “It's a shameful thing...” is heard as the “Celtic Warrior” Sheamus walks out to the ring to a chorus of boos from the WWE Universe. As he walks to the ring, still photos are shown of his hard hitting battle with Edge last night. Sheamus knocked off Edge to add another huge win under his belt. He gets in the ring and grabs a microphone, allowing the fans to settle down. He starts by saying that he told each and every one of the fans. “I told you that I would continue to destroy your heroes. My uncle Finlay, The Undertaker, Batista and now Edge. They all stepped to me and they all fell down.” He mentions that he knows that Batista will be returning in two weeks but he's not worried because if Batista tries anything, he'll put him back on the shelf permanently. He continues to run down Edge before being cut off by the “Rated R Superstar” himself. Edge walks all the way down to the ring as the crowd roars and he grabs a microphone. He congratulates Sheamus on the win last night and says that he earned respect for the competitor in Sheamus. “I don't respect the man Sheamus though. You're one tough SOB but the way that you've targeted some of the guys, including myself, is disrespectful and if you think I'm done with you, then you've got another thing coming. I'm all for the guys like you, that are the future of this business, taking matters into their own hands, but I promise that you've challenged the wrong opportunist.” They go face to face when something unexpected happened.
- “AWESOME!” Smackdown's The Miz arrives on the scene in a surprising turn of events. Sheamus and Edge both look confused as Miz makes his way down to the ring. He has his usual smug look on his face as he takes a microphone. “Did you say something about the future of the WWE taking matters into their own hands? Well look no further than the 2010 King of the Ring, myself.” Sheamus tells Miz that he has no business on Raw when he's a Smackdown guy. “Sheamus, relax, I'm on your side. Even if I did win the King of the Ring Tournament that you were a part of.” Sheamus is not happy with that remark as the Miz continues. “SummerSlam was in this very building last night, so I figured I should stick around and check out Raw and when I heard talk about the future of the WWE, I had to come out. The Raw fans deserve to see someone of my caliber.” Before he can continue, the WWE Champion's music hits as Christian comes out to a huge pop. As he walks down the ramp he tells The Miz that for being the future of this company, he sure as hell lost last night. He gets in the ring and hugs Edge before Sheamus shouts that they're all interrupting his time. Miz and Christian are Smackdown guys and Edge is a loser so none of them belong in his ring. Another theme plays as the General Manager of Raw, John “Bradshaw” Layfield walks out to the stage. “Normally, I would be against Smackdown Superstars appearing on my show but this is good. I think that both Miz and Christian are great athletes and, after watching in the back, I came up with an idea. In two weeks, we will witness the historic 900th episode of Raw and all three brands will be there. So, in the interest of making sure that I put on the best show possible we will see a tag team match that night. Miz, you will team with Sheamus against the team of Edge and Christian!” The crowd erupts as Edge and Christian high five. JBL has more though. “That's not all, tonight's fans have to get something great too. At the upcoming Breaking Point Pay-Per-View, the Scramble Matches will be returning. So, Jericho will need four challengers for his belt and tonight we will see four qualifying matches. Edge, you and Sheamus will both have qualifying matches. Yours is later Edge, but Sheamus, yours is up first and you will be facing none other than Kofi Kingston!” The crowd pops again as tonight is shaping up to be huge.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning, a recap is shown of the huge opening to Raw. Not only did we get the announcement of Edge and Christian re-forming at Raw 900 to face Sheamus and The Miz, but we will also see four Scramble Match Qualifiers tonight. The first is up next as Sheamus will face Kofi Kingston!
- Scramble Match Qualifier: Kofi Kingston def. Sheamus >> These two met on Smackdown before both men were drafted over to Raw following WrestleMania XXVI. Sheamus bested Kofi Kingston on that night, but tonight wound up different. Their styles clash was fun as Sheamus used his power to take control, only for Kingston to rally back with his high flying ability. Sheamus missed the Brogue Kick, which allowed Kofi to wrap him in a unique rollup that allowed him to get a surprising three.
- The crowd pops big as Kofi Kingston gets out of the ring and away from a furious Sheamus. Michael Cole says that, in a battle of the two hottest up and comers on Raw, a rollup was the difference. However, Kofi Kingston has qualified for the Scramble Match and a graphic is shown of him and Chris Jericho as a part of the World Heavyweight Title Scramble Match.
- Transitioning backstage, Chris Jericho is shown watching on a monitor with the Best in the World behind him. He does not have a happy look on his face as he tells the rest of his guys that this can't happen. He says that he's going to see JBL and he exits.
- A graphic is shown announcing that the two biggest threats to Michelle McCool's Divas Championship will meet tonight in a number one contender’s match. Tiffany goes one on one with Mickie James and the winner gets a Divas Title shot at Raw 900!
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning, a video package featuring highlights of “The Animal” Batista is shown. The words “The Animal Returns; Raw 900” flash across the screen at the end.
- Backstage, John “Bradshaw” Layfield is in his office when Chris Jericho barges in. “John, what is the meaning of this? A Scramble Match is announced just after I make a huge title defense. It's an outrage. Now, Kofi Kingston is involved and Edge is getting another opportunity. Something has to be done.” JBL calmly replies by telling Jericho that he will be unhappy to know that John Cena will also have a qualifying match tonight. The crowd pops for this and JBL adds that while Edge has a chance, he will be facing Best in the World member Alberto Del Rio. Jericho goes to leave outraged, when JBL stops him. “One more thing Chris. I'm a fair man, so tonight, you will be involved in one of the qualifying matches. If you can beat your opponent, then your Scramble Match will only involve four Superstars instead of five.” Jericho seems to like this news as he leaves.
- The AirBourne Angels def. The South Beach Party Boys >> Two of the more competitive teams on Raw went at it here. The South Beach Party Boys are doing all they can to get close to a title shot, while the AirBourne Angels actually have a meeting with the Straight Edge Society this Friday with a title shot on the line. A decent match ended when Justin Angel hit Percy Watson with the 450 Splash.
- The AirBourne Angels get a pop from the fans as they pick up another win heading into their number one contender's match this Friday on Smackdown. The South Beach Party Boys seem to get into a big of an argument as they have yet to gain much traction since moving to Raw.
- John Cena is shown walking towards the arena because he has a qualifying match up next!
- ===Commercial Break===
- A promo airs for Smackdown this Friday. Coming off of a big win in a tag team match at SummerSlam, Jack Swagger heads to Smackdown to defend his United States Championship against Tyler Black. Plus, Scramble Match qualifiers to determine the challengers for Christian's WWE Title at Breaking Point.
- John Cena's theme hits to a huge pop as he runs down to the ring. Despite suffering a tough loss to Chris Jericho at SummerSlam last night, he gets a fresh chance tonight, but the question is, who will be his opponent. “I AM PERFECTION” blares throughout the arena as the Intercontinental Champion comes out for this big match.
- Scramble Match Qualifier: John Cena def. Dolph Ziggler >> Michael Cole makes sure to point out that while these two have never met one on one, Dolph Ziggler did pin John Cena in a tag team match at Cyber Sunday last year. Hopefully there are more matches between them in the future because this was a great match. Ziggler got a chance to show that he can hang in the main event scene and he did not waste it. He got numerous near falls, but as everybody knows, it takes a lot of put down Cena. The finish came when Dolph jumped on Cena's back and put him in the Sleeper Hold but Cena muscled through and wriggled Ziggler onto his shoulders, where he delivered the Attitude Adjustment.
- John Cena gets to his feet and throws his arms in the air. Things are not looking good for Chris Jericho as Kofi Kingston and John Cena, two guys that he's had serious issues with, have qualified for the Scramble Match.
- In the back, the Best in the World is shown once again and Chris Jericho is livid. He turns to Alberto Del Rio and tells him to make sure that he beats Edge tonight because the show is not getting off on the right foot. Del Rio tells him not to worry because he will handle Edge.
- ===Commercial Break===
- A promo airs for tomorrow's episode of ECW. At SummerSlam, Bryan Danielson retained the ECW Championship in a Fatal Four Way match but now, he will have to put it up in a Scramble Match. Who will qualify tomorrow night? Plus, Derrick Bateman returns and is sure to confront the man who turned his back on him two weeks ago, Johnny Curtis.
- Ashley Valance is standing by with the number one contender for the Intercontinental Title, Ted Dibiase Jr. She asks him about the time that he requested for this interview. “Ashley, the reason I wanted to address the WWE Universe was to inform them that I suffered a slight injury on a recent live event that prevents me from participating in a Scramble match qualifier tonight. However, I should be ready to go in another week or so. That being said, I've talked to JBL and he's agreed that on the historic 900th episode of Monday Night Raw, I will get my Intercontinental Title shot!” The crowd pops as Raw 900 just keeps getting bigger.
- Number One Contender's Match: Tiffany def. Mickie James >> The Divas Champion Michelle McCool and her partner Layla joined the commentary booth for this match as they ran down both competitors. Despite their thoughts, Mickie James and Tiffany put on a good match as Tiffany continues to show improvement. She shocked the WWE Universe when she hit Mickie with the Hot Body and won.
- Tiffany even looks surprised as the bell rings and she has earned the biggest match of her career. Michelle McCool is not happy, as Tiffany came close to beating her two weeks ago on Raw. Mickie shakes hands with Tiffany and hugs her in a show of good sportsmanship.
- Backstage, Jeff Hardy is shown pacing back and forth when John “Bradshaw” Layfield walks up to him. Jeff says that he's wanted to talk to him because he wants to know why he doesn't have a Scramble Match Qualifier. JBL responds by saying that's the reason why he's here. “You do have a Scramble Match qualifier and it's against Chris Jericho tonight.” The crowd pops, but Jerry Lawler is sure to remind everyone that if Jericho can win, he will only face three opponents at Breaking Point.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning, Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler do a rundown of the card for Raw 900 so far. First off, The Best in the World will step into a five on five match against John Cena, Kofi Kingston, Jeff Hardy and two partners to be chosen. However, they inform us that they just got breaking news because the ECW Champion Bryan Danielson has agreed to join the team and oppose the Best in the World! Plus, as we just learned the Divas Championship will be on the line as Michelle McCool defends against Tiffany and the Intercontinental Championship will be defended when Dolph Ziggler faces Ted Dibiase Jr. Also, the reunion of seven time Tag Team Champions Edge and Christian as they take on Sheamus and The Miz! Lastly, the return of Batista since he was taken out by Sheamus!
- Scramble Match Qualifier: Alberto Del Rio w/ Gail Kim def. Edge >> Alberto Del Rio once again proves that the WWE made the right decision by pushing him immediately. He hung tough with one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time and had a great match with Edge. Edge set up for the Spear when Sheamus rushed down to the ring. He ran inside so Edge nailed him with the Spear! The crowd is pumped, but Del Rio connects with a sick sounding Superkick that allows him to pin Edge.
- Alberto Del Rio celebrates as Gail Kim enters the ring and raises his arm in the air. Edge was nearing a victory but Sheamus got involved and caused a major distraction. It's pretty clear that this issue between the Celtic Warrior and the Rated R Superstar is far from over. The Scramble Match graphic is updated, showing Alberto Del Rio as part of the match.
- In the back, we see the Best in the World in their locker room one more time as they enjoy the win. Jericho says that this is the kind of turn around that they've needed. He promises to end Jeff Hardy's quest tonight as he and Del Rio will turn Breaking Point into a tag team match.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Scramble Match Qualifier: Jeff Hardy def. World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho w/ Ezekiel Jackson >> Back at No Mercy and Cyber Sunday last year, these two had some good matches and tonight was no different. The crowd was red hot for the action and they were treated to a lot of near falls. At one point, Jeff Hardy took out Ezekiel Jackson with a big splash to the outside. Chris Jericho attempted to lock in the Walls of Jericho, but Hardy pulled him into a small package which scored him the win!
- For the second time in two weeks, Jeff Hardy has reversed the Walls of Jericho into a small package and pinned the World Heavyweight Champion. Chris Jericho is furious as he attacks Hardy once the bell rings. Ezekiel Jackson enters to join the beating. The crowd goes nuts as John Cena and Kofi Kingston hurry down to turn the tide. They knock Jackson and Jericho out of the ring as the rest of the Best in the World comes out. Cena quickly goes outside and grabs steel chairs, which prevents the Best in the World from entering the ring. Things did not go well for the Best in the World tonight and things are looking bleak for their match at Raw 900.

Alright, here we go with Raw and we got the scramble matches a-comin'! An E&C reunion on Raw 900? Sounds great to me! I'm really surprised to see Kofi Kingston knock Sheamus off in the opener, but I hope it leads to something for The Celtic Warrior - perhaps screwing Edge over and facing him at Breaking Point in a rematch? We'll see. Batista back at Raw 900, lets... do... this!? That's my new favorite sound byte and I have to say it in one reply every time I dish them out, I think. Jericho is pissed but he can go wah wah wah all the way home. The AirBourne Angels facing The South Beach Party Boys is fine by me, I like the team of Bourne and Gabriel better anyone so I'll take it. Not surprised to see John Cena win over Dolph Ziggler in the qualifier, being that he just lost to Jericho last night. Raw 900 is shaping up nicely and an Intercontinental Championship match for Ted DiBiase sounds fine as an addition. Maybe we'll see his dad help him win the belt? Tiffany beating Mickie James surprises me as I figured James could run right through her, but it makes for something different. Tiffany is hot anyway, though, so who cares? Jeff Hardy vs Chris Jericho in the main event? That should be a good one and I fully expect Hardy to win and secure a spot in the scramble. Alberto Del Rio beating Edge thanks to Sheamus was expected after Sheamus lost earlier on tonight and it was a nice call, putting Del Rio in the scramble will help establish him a bit but also give Jericho some help that he needs being the cowardly type champion he is. Finally, the main event went the right way with Jeff Hardy winning and I like how he did it with a small package so it wasn't as if he dominated Jericho in victory. A stand against the Best in the World stable to conclude things was good and this was a good episode of Raw overall, shaping Breaking Point and Raw 900 nicely already.

I really like the Scramble matches, so I'm glad to see those come back. Nice little promo between Sheamus and Edge, wait E&C are reforming at RAW 900?!? Gimme some time for a five second pose. *cameras click*. Okay back to this. I am super happy you had Kofi win via rollup. Sheamus is a dominant heel, so keep him strong. Batista returns? Fine by me. Bourne and Gabriel are a good team, hopefully they get a shot at the tag titles soon? I see SES retaining though. Cena over Ziggler is expected, but I hope you build Ziggler up. Tiffany over Mickie James? Not sure if I like it as much as I should, but it could be a good match between Tiffany and McCool. However, I don't see Tiffany winning the belt anytime soon. Del Rio being in the Scramble match helps Jericho's chances, and I like that you're continuing the Sheamus vs Edge program. I'm a huge Hardy fan, always have been, so I'm glad he made it into the Scramble. I can see Hardy becoming champion, so maybe you'll do that? This was a really good RAW, keep at it.

A packed opening segment to kick things off on Raw. Edge & Christian reuniting at Raw 900 reeks of awesomeness. Also liked the announcement of the Championship Scramble match for Breaking Point. Kofi Kingston defeating Sheamus to quality for the Scramble was a fine call, though I was surpried that it was clean. Instantly, I think Kofi has a legitimate chance at becoming World Heavyweight Champion. I can't see the Scramble match featuring just four participants, so I would imagine that Chris Jericho will be taking a loss tonight. The AirBourne Angels with the victory was for the better. Really looking forward to their match against the Straight Edge Society on SmackDown. Sounds like a huge show planned for Friday night. Great match between John Cena and Dolph Ziggler. Liked the mention of Ziggler pinning Cena back at Cyber Sunday. Cena getting the win was expected, but Ziggler looking strong was what really mattered here. Ted DiBiase versus Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship at Raw 900 sounds lovely. I've said before that this program for the title has a lot of potential, in my mind. Next, a very surprising win for Skirt Tiffany. I can't see her winning the Divas Championship from Michelle McCool, but I'm completely fine with the idea of her getting an opportunity. She did impress me with her work in TNA last year, but I don't know if that would come off the same in a 2010 setting. Alberto Del Rio qualifying for the Scramble match is good, liked how Sheamus' involvement lead to his win. Edge and Sheamus seem destined for a rematch at Breaking Point. I do wonder if Del Rio will assist Jericho in the Scramble match, or try to capture the title himself. Finally, a fantastic main event that saw Jeff Hardy qualify for the Scramble match. The chaotic aftermath was a great touch as well, but damn is the Scramble match stacked. Maybe aside from Del Rio, I feel like anyone could win. Very solid Raw overall. Breaking Point and Raw 900 are already shaping up to be massive shows.

Time for catch-up once again.
Friday Night SmackDown The final SmackDown before SummerSlam. Great opening segment to build up the Kurt Angle/CM Punk match with Angle standing tall. That's a match to definitely look forward to. Obvious to see Cody Rhodes triumph over Yoshi Tatsu. I enjoy how you're building Rhodes up as a big deal. As I said before, I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually becomes the United States Champion soon. I knew you were going to do something involving the Straight Edge Society and the Airbourne Angels to determine new contenders for the Dudebusters' Unified WWE Tag Team Championships. Great job on building up your tag team division. With the SES possibly becoming the new #1 contenders for the Tag Team Titles, it seemed the right call to have Drew Gallows win over Paul London. It makes the SES look strong going into the next edition of SmackDown. I figured Punk would win over Rey Mysterio to keep him looking hot for his match with Angle. Geez, Mysterio has sure fallen off the radar in significance lately, but he's still a reliable guy to help put over guys. Next, we get a great segment to promote three storylines at once: the Best in the World and its issues with Jeff Hardy and Kofi Kingston on RAW, the Jack Swagger/Tyler Black saga for the U.S. Title and the AJ Lee/Gail Kim saga over the Women's Championship. Good call with William Regal and Kim winning over Black and Lee, especially with interference from Alberto Del Rio. It makes both Lee and Black more determined to dethrone their respective rivals. You've done a tremendous job at establishing Shelton Benjamin as a main event guy. Kudos. Now, the main event, WWE Champion Christian and Benjamin taking on Orton and Miz. Great call to end it with a disqualification as it protects all four guys going into SummerSlam. Having Miz lay out Christian and stand triumphantly over him is a great way to end the show. Makes me look forward to see what happens at the pay-per-view. Great show!
SummerSlam The biggest party of the summer is here! Let's get this show on the road. Great way to open the show with Edge vs. Sheamus. Not surprised to see the Celtic Warrior win this one. Edge is great at putting young guys over at this stage in his career and Sheamus is being built up to be a huge deal on RAW. So it works for me. Great fatal four-way for the ECW Championship. Glad to see Bryan Danielson retain, but it looks like things between him and Wade Barrett are far from over. I'm just wondering where Ezekiel Jackson and John Morrison go from here. Awesome street fight between Shelton Benjamin and Randy Orton. This could've gone either way, but I'm alright with Orton winning. Despite losing, Benjamin still comes out of this looking good. Next, we have the Jeff Hardy/Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio/Jack Swagger of Best in the World. Much like the previous match, this one could've gone either way as well. Fine call with Best in the World winning as it keeps them looking strong. Surprised yet glad to see Christian retain his WWE Championship over the Miz. It gives Christian a little more time as champion. Although, I wouldn't be surprised to see Miz become champion sometime down the road. Great match between AJ Lee and Gail Kim for the Women's Championship. Finally, Lee has dethroned her former mentor to achieve her dream of becoming Women's Champion. I was surprised you had Kim drop the title after just winning it at The Bash. Looking forward to see what happens with Lee as champion. I wasn't the least bit surprised to see Kurt Angle win over CM Punk. It was his first match back in the WWE and I doubt a superstar such as Angle would lose in his first match back. However, with that said, I expect Punk to get some retribution somewhere down the road. Awesome match! Finally, the main event. Chris Jericho and John Cena for the World Heavyweight Championship. Surprised yet pleased to see Jericho win over Cena, even though he won due to outside interference. Jericho continues his reign as champion while Cena saves face by being screwed over. Another great pay-per-view in the books. Looking forward to see what happens next.
Monday Night RAW The first RAW following SummerSlam. Interesting way to open the show with Sheamus and Edge, only to have SmackDown's The Miz and WWE Champion Christian show up. It's great to see Edge and Christian side-by-side once again after the feud they had earlier in the year. So now we're getting ready for RAW 900 in two weeks and it will be Edge and Christian reuniting to take on their respective rivals, Sheamus and Miz. I look forward to seeing that as you've done a great job of building up both Sheamus and Miz on RAW and SmackDown respectively. A match against one of the greatest tag teams of all time could do wonders for them. Sweet! The Championship Scramble Match is back. First up, we get Kofi Kingston getting the win over Sheamus. I was surprised by that. But Sheamus is still dealing with Edge and Kingston is involved in a feud against Best in the World. So it does make sense. What a shocker that World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho is not happy to have to deal with four challengers in a championship scramble at WWE Breaking Point. But he gets the chance to make it a four-man scramble if he defeats his opponent later on. Batista is returning at RAW 900! Sweet! I wonder how he'll get back into the mix of things when he comes back. Interesting segment. Much like the Straight Edge Society on SmackDown, the Airbourne Angels are going to need momentum going into their #1 contenders match against the SES on the next edition of SmackDown. So it's no surprise to see them defeat the South Beach Party Boys. The next qualifying match features John Cena and Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler. I figured Cena would win, as he still has issues with Jericho. But good job at making Ziggler look legit even in defeat. It just wasn't his night, and now he has Ted Dibiase Jr. to deal with in two weeks at RAW 900. Looking forward to that. Great upset with Tiffany defeating Mickie James to become the #1 contender to Michelle McCool and her Diva's Championship. Let's see if Tiffany has better luck dethroning McCool at RAW 900. So it looks Jeff Hardy is the one Jericho will have to deal with if he wants to make his odds of retaining his title at Breaking Point better. It won't be easy, that's for sure. Speaking of RAW 900, we get news that ECW Champion Bryan Danielson will be joining up with Cena, Kingston, Hardy and another competitor to take on Best in the World at the event. I'm going to go ahead and say Tyler Black will be the fifth member of Cena's team. With his rivalry with United States Champion Jack Swagger, it seems likely. Alberto Del Rio continues his ascension up the RAW ladder by winning his qualifying match against Edge, thanks to Sheamus getting involved. A little payback from the Celtic Warrior. So now, we're even up with Cena, Kingston, Jericho and Del Rio in the WWE Championship Scramble Match. The main event is here. Hardy wins over Jericho to take the final spot in the scramble match. Nice post-match action with Jericho and Ezekiel Jackson beating on Hardy. But Cena and Kingston come down for the save. Great way to end the show with the three babyface challengers for Jericho's title standing tall. It hypes up both the WWE Championship Scramble Match at Breaking Point and the 10-man tag team match at RAW 900. Another great show!

August 17th, 2010 | Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, California | Attendance: 8,333
- After the opening signature, a package is played highlighting the ECW Championship match from SummerSlam where Bryan Danielson retained his belt in a Fatal Four Way match. Cutting to the arena, Joey Styles and Byron Saxton welcome us to the program, and say that Danielson goes right back into the fire as he will be defending his title in a Scramble Match at Breaking Point.
- Aksana is standing in the ring, sporting a ravishing red dress as she introduces the host and star of the Abraham Washington Show...Abraham Washington! He struts out to the ring to a chorus of boos, but he completely ignores them. As he gets into the ring he says that last week, the Abraham Washington Show was so explosive that Theodore Long couldn't bare to go another week without one. “So tonight, I had to make sure that this episode would be a home run. Two weeks ago, the ECW fans were stunned when Johnny Curtis turned his back on his partner, Derrick Bateman. Well tonight, for the first time, we'll hear from Bateman on my show!” Out comes Derrick Bateman who gets a nice hand from the WWE Universe. As he sits down in the ring, Washington starts by asking him how he's been doing since Curtis put a hurting on him. Bateman is clearly not in a joking mood as he tells Washington to watch what he asks. He had to miss last week's ECW to heal up from the attack. “But tonight, I'm back and I'm here to confront Johnny Curtis.” The crowd cheers for that and Washington speaks, “well that's great actually, because he's my next guest.” Johnny Curtis' theme plays as he comes out in interesting attire to say the least. He stays at the top of the stage and says that there is no way that he's going down to get into a scrap with Derrick Bateman. “I explained my actions last week Derrick. You were going to hold me back and I had to break away. People need to see me only, I am the sexiest man in ECW. I will not go down there and risk you damaging this face.” He does a strange pose and Bateman replies by telling him that he will beat the hell out of him for what he did. Bateman goes to head up the ramp but Curtis exits through the curtain. Bateman gives chase as Abraham Washington and Aksana are left in the ring. Aksana says “Well, I guess that's all for tonight folks.” Washington shrugs and we cut away.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning, Theodore Long is shown on the screen as he addresses the viewers. “Ladies and gentlemen, tonight you will witness four Scramble Match Qualifiers to determine Bryan Danielson's opponents for Breaking Point. Also, next week, right here on ECW, Derrick Bateman will go one on one with Johnny Curtis!” The crowd pops at the news.
- Scramble Match Qualifier: Drew McIntyre def. Zack Ryder w/ Courtney >> Zack Ryder continues to show that he's a rising star in the WWE, but Drew McIntyre continues to show that he just might be the most vicious. Ryder got in some solid offense but McIntyre stomped on Ryder's head in a sick looking move. Ryder was out like a light after that, as McIntyre lifted him to his feet and nailed the Future Shock.
- The WWE Universe boo loudly as Drew McIntyre gets his hand raised. His personal rivalry with Bryan Danielson is well documented and they met in a brutal match at The Bash last month. Now, he gets another ECW Title shot in the Scramble Match at Breaking Point.
- Backstage, Bryan Danielson is shown watching on a monitor with the ECW Title resting on his shoulder. He doesn't seem too happy that Drew McIntyre has advanced but one has to wonder who else will qualify tonight.
- ===Commercial Break===
- A promo airs for Friday Night Smackdown this week. The United States Champion Jack Swagger will defend his gold against the man he beat for it back in April, Tyler Black! Plus, Scramble Match Qualifiers including a big battle royal!
- Scramble Match Qualifier: John Morrison def. Paul Burchill w/ Katie Lea Burchill >> Last week on ECW, Paul Burchill made a statement that he was going to the top of ECW. He got a big chance to do just that tonight but unfortunately fell short. John Morrison made some amends for taking the loss at SummerSlam, but putting away the former Intercontinental Champion with Moonlight Drive.
- The crowd applauds loudly as John Morrison has another chance at the ECW Championship. He was unfortunate against Ezekiel Jackson and at SummerSlam, but could the Scramble Match be his way back to the ECW Title that he held back in 2007?
- A graphic is shown for tonight's enormous main event! In the final Scramble Match Qualifier, former ECW Champion Ezekiel Jackson will go one on one with ECW's hottest star, Wade Barrett! What a monumental match!
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning, Josh Matthews is standing by with the ECW Champion, Bryan Danielson. He asks for his thoughts on the Scramble Match so far. Danielson says that he's excited about the match because he loves competition. “At first, I wasn't happy to see Drew McIntyre qualify due to our history. But then I got to thinking about it and I realized that it gives me another chance to kick his head clean off his shoulders or make him tap out. I will still be the ECW Champion after Breaking Point, I can promise you that.”
- Scramble Match Qualifier: Kaval def. Chris Masters >> Over the past few weeks, Chris Masters and Kaval have traded wins and their little feud has become pretty personal. Tonight, their tiebreaker had very high stakes as a spot in the Scramble Match was on the line. After a good back and forth contest, Kaval got put into the Masterlock. He was close to submitting, but manages to run up the turnbuckles and push off of them, resulting in him pinning Masters' shoulders to the mat for three.
- Chris Masters breaks the hold and is stunned at this turn of events. Kaval rolls outside and celebrates his win while holding his neck. Masters his furious and can't believe that he just lost a huge match while having his submission in place.
- Backstage, Alex Riley is shown walking until he knocks on a locker room. The door opens and it's Courtney. She tries to close the door immediately but Riley stops it with his hand. He tells her that he knows she wants a piece of A-Ry and that she doesn't have to try and hide the fact that she wants to upgrade. Courtney says that will never happen and manages to slam the door in his face.
- ===Commercial Break===
- A promo for Raw 900 airs. ECW's Bryan Danielson joins forces with Kofi Kingston, Jeff Hardy, John Cena and a mystery partner to take on the Best in the World! Plus, Edge & Christian reunite and Batista makes his long awaited return!
- Scramble Match Qualifier: Wade Barrett def. Ezekiel Jackson >> Two of the toughest men on the ECW roster do battle for the first time ever in tonight's main event. This was as hard hitting of a bout as you could find. Both men are dying to win the ECW Championship and a win here would give them a shot at that. Near the end, a turnbuckle got exposed and it would come in to play during the finish. Ezekiel Jackson got Wade Barrett up for the Torture Rack, but Barrett wriggled free and shoved Jackson into that buckle. As he bounced out, Barrett hit the Winds of Change and got the win.
- Wade Barrett celebrates his win as the final participant in the ECW Championship Scramble Match is set. A graphic shows Wade Barrett, Bryan Danielson, John Morrison, Kaval and Drew McIntyre as they are set for a big match at Breaking Point. The crowd boos Wade's victory, though they would've been unhappy either way.
- Wade Barrett exits to the back as Ezekiel Jackson gets to his feet. He demands a microphone and begins to shout that none of this right. “I was the most dominant ECW Champion in history and continue to get screwed out of my rightful rematch. I'm in a pissed off mood and I'm one of the Best in the World. I want to beat the hell out of somebody, so anyone on the ECW roster, get your ass out here!” Joey Styles mentions that Ezekiel Jackson issuing an open challenge is not something that most people look forward to answering. “WELL, ITS THE BIG SHOW!” The crowd goes nuts as the Big Show comes through the curtain and Jackson is in shock. Big Show hasn't been seen since he was fired from Smackdown after losing at the Bash. Show enters the ring and ducks a shot from Jackson before hitting a clothesline that sends Jackson over and out. Jackson is livid as Show picks up the microphone. “Vickie Guerrero may have gotten me fired from Smackdown, but that allowed Theodore Long to sign me to E...C...W! Oh, and Ezekiel. I spoke with John Cena earlier today and I will be the final team member for Raw 900, so I'll see you then!” The crowd pops again as ECW has ended on a huge note!

EC DUBYA! EC DUBYA! EC DUBYA! LETS GO LETS GO WHERES BALLS MAHONEY WHEN YOU NEED HIM? EXTREME STRIP POKER! Ahem. Adjust tie. Lets go. Abraham Washington Show opening things up is fine with the scramble match qualifiers liekly to stuff the entire show up, seeing as how it is only an hour long. Anyway, Derrick Bateman and Johnny Curtis had a decent meet up to start things off, certainly leaving a match to the future. Drew McIntyre getting into the Scramble over Zack Ryder is the best call, certainly a more legitimate threat. Same goes for John Morrison and Kaval, they both will make the match somewhat interesting but I don't see either one of them walking out with the belt, most definitely. I leave that to either Danielson or Barrett, whom faces Ezekiel Jackson in the main event. I'm a little surprised, to be honest, to see them face each other for the last spot being as they have been top tier contenders for the belt but I am actually glad, as it does mix up the scene slightly. A good ending to the show, however, with Big Show announcing he is back as a part of Big Show! A solid edition of ECW altogether that set up a good scramble match for Breaking Point and brought back Big Show to the brand.

Since Breaking Point has already 2 Championship Scramble Matches with the World Heavyweight Championship being defended in a Scramble Match with Jericho the Best in the World leader facing off against Cena, Kofi, Del Rio, and Jeff Hardy and the ECW Championship being defended in a Scramble Match with Bryan Danielson defending his title against Wade Barrett, Drew McIntyre, Kaval and John Morrison I wonder where this leaves the WWE Championship?
I wonder if this means Christian will defend his WWE Championship in a Scramble Match?
For the World Heavyweight Championship in the Scramble Match at Breaking Point, we will see if every man will really be for himself considering there are 2 Best in the World members in this match in Jericho and Del Rio and I am sure Del Rio he won't be a patsy and lay down for Jericho unless Jericho decides to tell him to be a patsy and Del Rio ends up listening to Jericho but this for sure creates dissension within The Best in the World stable because I am sure if Del Rio were to have the chance to be World Heavyweight Champion he would take that chance
Whereas with the ECW Championship it will truly be every man for himself even though there is a Best in the World member in there in McIntyre

there's a lot of stuff going on in RAW and ECW. And also on RAW 900, can't wait for the Scramble Match at Night of Champions, and more of it on SMACKDOWN.
Note: Check out the new edition of RAW on the 1994 diary.

August 20th, 2010 | Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, California | Attendance: 8,333
- Following the intro and pyrotechnics, the camera pans around the arena in Bakersfield, California. The commentary unit of Matt Striker and Todd Grisham introduce the show and announce that, just like, on Raw and ECW, we will witness Scramble Match Qualifiers tonight and the United States Championship will be on the line! All of that and so much more on Friday Night Smackdown!
- The crowd continues to cheer loudly as the theme of the WWE Champion hits and Christian makes his way to the ring. As he enters, he takes a microphone and allows the crowd's reaction to soak in. When he gets a chance to speak, he says that it felt good to finally beat The Miz at SummerSlam. That draws more positive reaction as he continues. “Now that I've got that unfortunate monkey off my back, I can focus solely on a long reign as WWE Champion. I'm not going to talk about this being my dream anymore, because I've accomplished it.” Christian says that he has some big matches coming up. First, he joins forces with his best friend for the first time in nearly ten years at Raw 900, which draws a pop, and then he has to worry about Breaking Point. “I've never competed in a Scramble Match before so this is a new challenge for me, but I'm ready for it and I'll be watching the qualifying matches tonight for sure.” Before he can continue, the theme song of the Prince of Pro Wrestling is heard. Cody Rhodes surprisingly struts to the ring and gets a microphone. “Christian, your WWE Championship win and celebration and realization of your dream is touching, but the story is over. You see, I'm about to compete in a Scramble Match Qualifier and I guarantee you that I will not only win, but I will walk into Breaking Point in Chicago and walk out with the WWE Championship. It may have been your dream, Christian, but it is my birthright as the Prince of Pro Wrestling.” Christian smirks but Shelton Benjamin's music plays as it looks like the first qualifying match starts when the commercial break is over.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning, a recap of the opening segment plays and the commentary team directs the viewers to the ring for the opener.
- Scramble Match Qualifier: Shelton Benjamin def. Cody Rhodes >> In a match that was given nearly fifteen minutes, Cody Rhodes and Shelton Benjamin may have stolen the show tonight. Cody was wise to focus on Shelton's ribs, which were injured during his Street Fight at SummerSlam. Cody hit the Disaster Kick but only could muster a near fall. He was not happy as he set up for the Cross Rhodes, but Shelton spun out and hit Paydirt to end it.
- The audience pops as Shelton Benjamin rolls out of the ring. A graphic is shown with both Christian and Shelton Benjamin getting spots in the Scramble Match. Shelton has a shot to be on top of Smackdown again like he was at the start of the year.
- Cutting to the back, General Managers Stephanie McMahon and Vickie Guerrero are in their office. Stephanie says that we just witnessed a great match and she feels that the other Scramble Match Qualifier that she made for tonight, Randy Orton vs. Rey Mysterio, will be great too. Vickie says that she gets to make two as well and hers will be better. The Miz bursts into the office and is furious. He demands another WWE Title shot because Christian got lucky in his mind at SummerSlam. Vickie yells at him and tells him not to demand anything from them because they run Smackdown. She gives him a qualifying match...against CM Punk! The crowd pops for this and The Miz is even more pissed.
- ===Commercial Break===
- Returning, a graphic is shown for the big United States Title match tonight is shown. It's followed by a short video that shows Jack Swagger beating Tyler Black for the belt back in April.
- Number One Contender's Match: The AirBourne Angels def. The Straight Edge Society w/ Serena Mancini >> The two hottest tag teams in the WWE recently met with a shot at the Dudebusters on the line. The Dudebusters were at ringside on commentary and provided some nice comic relief throughout. After a hard fought contest, the 450 Splash from Justin Angel on Joseph Matthews earned his team the win.
- The Dudebusters were not pleased with the outcome here, as the AirBourne Angels have come close to defeating them on multiple occasions already.
- In the back, Vickie Guerrero and Stephanie McMahon are shown again in their office. Vickie informs Stephanie that the other Scramble Match Qualifier that she is making will be a battle royal to close tonight's show. Stephanie looks impressed and tonight's show just keeps getting bigger!
- CM Punk is shown walking to the arena and he looks pissed. He faces The Miz with a spot at Breaking Point on the line, next!
- ===Commercial Break===
- A promo is shown for Raw this Monday. World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho is not pleased with the participants in the Breaking Point Scramble Match. However, the four challengers meet in two separate matches this Monday. Alberto Del Rio meets his rival, Kofi Kingston, while two massive forces collide when John Cena goes one on one with Jeff Hardy!
- Scramble Match Qualifier: The Miz def. CM Punk w/ The Straight Edge Society via countout >> An interesting bout the entire way. First, both guys were heels so the crowd wasn't sure who to root for. Second, CM Punk was incredibly aggressive as he hit stiff shots on Miz and eventually connected with the Go to Sleep. In a strange turn of events, CM Punk exited the ring and allowed the confused official to count him out.
- As the referee calls for the bell, the WWE Universe boos and is confused at this outcome. CM Punk just walked away from a a chance to be the WWE Champion again. He walks around to the time keeper's table and snatches a microphone from Justin Roberts and starts to speak. “You know, about a month ago, I would've done any and everything to win back my WWE Championship but that's something that I can't focus on right now. My sole obsession right now is you Kurt Angle. You didn't beat me at SummerSlam dammit. My hand was under the bottom rope, so what you did should never have counted. I'm not surprised though because you're one known to cheat.” This brings out Kurt Angle to the stage who is pissed at Punk calling him a cheater again. Punk continues, “Hold up there Kurt. As much as I want to fight you right now, I want to beat you and I'll beat you for real. Actually, I don't just want to beat you, I want to make you tap out. So, here it is, the challenge laid down. You and I, at Breaking Point in a Submission Match. The Ankle Lock against the Anaconda Vise.” Kurt has a microphone and responds, “Oh you're on. There will be no questions after Breaking Point because I won't just make you tap out...I'll break your ankle!” The crowd pops as CM Punk oddly has a smile on his face.
- ===Commercial Break===
- A recap airs of the huge announcement that we just heard as CM Punk will now face Kurt Angle in a rematch of their SummerSlam classic, but this time, it will be a Submission Match! Breaking Point is shaping up to be a huge show!
- United States Championship: Tyler Black def. Jack Swagger w/ Gail Kim & William Regal to win the title >> A really good match for the United States Championship here as Tyler Black and Jack Swagger went toe to toe. Of course, Gail Kim tried to intervene, which brought out the new Women's Champion, AJ Lee, to a big pop, as she pulled down Gail and battled her to the back. Later, as William Regal tried to cheat, he ate a huge kick from Black that knocked him off the apron. He turned around and was nearly met with the Gutwrench Powerbomb, but Black countered it into a victory roll and earned the three!
- A big ovation fell over the crowd as Tyler Black has regained his Championship and the bad week for the Best in the World continues! Not only has Gail Kim lose the Women's Championship, but Jack Swagger loses his United States Title. He is in shock as Black heads up the ramp with the gold!
- Cutting backstage, the General Managers are in their office once again. Stephanie McMahon says that they need a bigger presence on the historic Raw 900, so she just talked with John “Bradshaw” Layfield and the official contract signing for the Submission Match between CM Punk and Kurt Angle will go down on that night! The crowd cheers before Stephanie continues saying that Smackdown's tag team, The Dudebusters will defend their belts against the AirBourne Angels on that night as well!
- ===Commercial Break===
- Josh Matthews is standing by with the new Women's Champion, AJ Lee. Lee is seemingly out of breath from her brawl with Gail Kim. He asks her how it feels to be champion. AJ calls it a realization of her life's dream as she is not doing the things that her idol, Lita has done. She says that she still has her problems with Gail Kim, which is why she made sure to go out there and assist Tyler Black.
- Scramble Match Qualifier: Randy Orton def. Rey Mysterio >> A solid match that wasn't on the level of their Extreme Rules contest, but that was probably due to the stipulations of that match. Both guys had plenty of opportunities to win but the Viper struck with an RKO from seemingly out of nowhere to advance to the Scramble Match.
- Randy Orton throws his arms high in the air as he is announced as the winner. A graphic is appears showing Christian, Orton, Miz and Benjamin as the first four into the Scramble Match. Our main event Battle Royal will determine who the final participant is.
- Backstage, the WWE Champion Christian is shown walking to the arena again as he will be on commentary for the battle royal!
- ===Commercial Break===
- A promo is shown for the historic Raw 900, which is less than two weeks away! “The Animal” Batista returns, Edge and Christian re-unite and the Best in the World face their toughest challenge when they go against John Cena, Kofi Kingston, Jeff Hardy, Bryan Danielson and the Big Show!
- Scramble Match Qualifier: Jack Swagger wins the Battle Royal >> The battle royal features Brian Kendrick, Caylen Croft, Curt Hawkins, Drew Gallows, Goldust, Jack Swagger, Jimmy Yang, JTG, Paul London, R-Truth, Trent Barreta, Tyler Black, William Regal and Yoshi Tatsu. It also gave guys who lost their qualifying matches a second chance so Rey Mysterio and Cody Rhodes were in it too. The final four in the match were Swagger, Black, Rey and Cody. Rey's performance was great considering he just wrestled. Cody and Black battled on the apron and Swagger knocked them both out. Swagger and Rey put on a solid battle and Rey played the underdog great like he always does. He hit a hurricanrana that nearly sent Swagger over, but Regal, who hadn't left, saved Jack from hitting the floor. Rey thought he won, allowing Swagger so sneak up and toss him over.
- Jack Swagger celebrates his victory as he earns the final spot in the Scramble Match. What started as a bad night where he lost the United States Championship, turns into a positive as he gets a shot at the WWE Championship. Swagger does a victory lap around the ring with his arms spread wide, but he stops at the announce table and lays out the WWE Champion. Swagger continues to pummel him, along with William Regal. Regal clears off the announce table as Swagger puts Christian through it with a vicious Gutwrench Powerbomb! Jack Swagger has easily made the biggest impact on the first stop before Breaking Point.

Smackdown time, nice segment with Christian. Good win for Shelton against the Prince of Pro Wrestling Cody Rhodes. Nice win for the Airbourne Angels against The Straight Edge Society. A strange win for The Miz against CM Punk. Angle vs Punk once again at Breaking Point should be interesting. Tyler Black wins back the U.S. Title over Jack Swagger with the help of AJ. I'm wondering if there's something between Tyler Black and AJ. Randy Orton enters the Championship Scramble and so does Jack Swagger by laying out the WWE Champion. So here's 5 people. Swagger. Orton. Benjamin. Christian and Miz. I say Christian has a 70% or 80% chance of losing the WWE Title if you ask me.

Alright, Smackdown. A solid opening promo from Christian and an interruption from Cody Rhodes, eh? Interesting move. Nice to see the opening contest between him and Benjamin get an opportunity to shine in the opener and I'm glad to see Shelton get in the scramble. Cody has other things he can focus on, like Tyler Black. The Miz versus CM Punk later on. Huh. That'll be interesting. The AirBourne Angels becoming the number one contenders is fine by me, and obviously the better choice being more established. I see them becoming the new champions, honestly. The Miz beating CM Punk I expected with Punk's angle going on with Angle. HAHA, SEE WHAT I DID THERE? I'M SO CLEVER. Punk vs Angle in a submission match? That'll be great if it goes down - which I assume it will. I see Punk winning at the event with it being in Chicago, too. A United States Championship match here and I'm glad to see Tyler Seth Black Rollins get the title back. I do like Swagger, but this could begin the downfall of The Best in the World. Randy Orton getting in the scramble over Rey Mysterio was for the best, obviously a stronger competitor and more needing of the match. Finally, a big battle royal main event and Jack Swagger wins it!? I'm shocked by that result, honestly, but I'm going to take it. Maybe the Best in the World isn't coming down that hard? Well, it is inevitable but anyway. WE! THE PEOPLE! I still see Miz or Christian walking out with the belt. A good, jam packed edition of Smackdown.
