 Night of Opportunities
December 22, 2008
As announced by Stephanie McMahon last week, Raw will truly be action-packed Monday night. 8 former World Champions will face off for an opportunity to compete in a Fatal-4-Way match next Monday that will determine the #1 Contender for John Cena's World Heavyweight Championship. Who will come out on top and be that much closer for a shot at The Champ's title?
To find out who will compete in next week's #1 Contender's Fatal-4-Way match, and to follow the strange saga between Kane and Kelly, make sure to tune into the USA Network at 9/8CT, as Raw rolls into the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.Can't wait to finally see an episode of Raw in HD. |

Damn, how many Title opportunities can Punk get at once? First he wins the IC title shot, then has a tag title rematch, now he's in a World title Tournament-esque thing. If Batista wins.........  |

My money is still on Batista taking on Cena at 'Mania. With last week's concussion kick, they can have Orton dominate Batista without making Batista look "weak" and save his title shot for when he wins the Elimination Chamber at No Way Out. BTW, my money is on Edge winning the Rumble. Still, Jericho vs. Punk should be a very solid outing. I'm interested to see if Michaels can pull a good match out of Kane, and if he wrestles as a heel. JBL vs. Rey never interested me, but the bigger storyline will be if JBL loses and Michaels wins, while JBL takes the title shot at the Rumble instead. Which is my prediction...HBK wins the fatal four way next week, JBL makes him give up the title shot. |

They might just as well announce Jericho as the winner of tonight's match, now.. It'll be a great match, but there's no chance in hell that Punk beats Jericho and advances.. If he does, I will be shocked.. Punk should win the whole tournament though, because all the other feuds have been done - Cena vs Punk, is a fresh feud and Punk would probably pull a great performance out of Cena..
