Prologue: The Beginning Sunday 24th June 2001 East Rutherford, New JerseyKing of the Ring, at this point a part of the 'Big Five' in a group of pay-per-view events. At this event, many superstars' careers have been changed by simply coming out as the winner in this prestigious tournament titled 'King of the Ring'. From its debut at a televised show as far back as 1987, this tournament made careers instantly, starting with Harley Race, though his change was irrelevent as Race was already one of the famous groups of people who had became NWA World Heavyweight Champions in the past. Then came its debut as a pay-per-view event, paving the way for future icons by the likes of Bret "Hitman" Hart and "King of Harts" Owen Hart. This tournament could of also sparked the popularity of mid-carder, Steve Austin as he cut a legendary promo in the celebration segment moments after pinning Jake "Snake" Roberts. This tournament jumpstarted Triple H and more notably, Kurt Angle's rocky roads to the top of the World Wrestling Federation mountain. It started off with apparent WCW superstar, Diamond Dallas Page coming out and calling out the Undertaker after DDP had stalked Taker's wife, Sara. The tournament started off with the Semi-Finals as the winner of the 2000 King of the Ring, Kurt Angle fought against friend, Christian in a battle of the egos. Christian fought valiently but soon fell to the grasps of defeat from the former Olympian, Angle. Then came the second of the Semi-Final matches in this year's tournament as two friends, Edge and Rhyno met and fought in what was a hard-hitting display. The two rule-breaking heels battled it out but in the end it was Edge who came out victorious over the WWF Hardcore Champion. Afterwards, it was time for the true battle between three brothers torn apart, as Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley were both wanting to make Spike's life a misery after having a Romeo and Juliet style love angle with Molly Holly. Spike got Kane to tag with him but the Dudley Boyz still came out on top, retaining the WWF Tag Team Championship belts. Then, however it was so soon, it came time for the Finals of the King of the Ring Tournament between Edge and Kurt Angle as both men put it all on the line as heel, Edge got a pop from the audience throughout. Angle wanted to continue his quest en route to becoming a two-time King of the Ring winner in his second of three matches this evening only for Edge to pick up the win and become triumphant in this tournament. In a subpar from the rest of the card, up next was a match with the undercard title, the WWF Light-Heavyweight Championship up for grabs as Jeff Hardy defended against X-Pac in which was a highly acrobatic and athletic contest only for Hardy to come out still the champion of his division. Up next, Diamond Dallas Page returned to the ring as he called out the Undertaker once again before a video of somebody taping DDP aired as Sara appeared to be the creator of said tape. The Undertaker then came out and gave DDP what he wanted - a pummeling. From there, it was time for one of the more hyped up matches of this evening as WCW Owner, Shane McMahon took on Kurt Angle in Kurt's third and final match of the evening. It was a massive struggle featuring violent scenes of Shane being suplexed through the glass parts of the King of the Ring set before Angle cleanly picked up the win. And finally, it was time for the main event, as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin battled Chris Benoit AND Chris Jericho - two tag team partners - in a triple threat match for Austin's precious WWF Heavyweight Championship. Both tag team partners attacked the champion throughout as Benoit was visibly hurt at one point following a messed-up superplex from Austin. At another point, Austin was at ringside before being thrown through the spanish announce table by WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Booker T. Despite the interference however, Austin retained the title. These attacks from WCW had happened so suddenly and it ran right into the next night on RAW is WAR, emanating live from WWF's traditional home, Madison Square Garden, New York City.

Not much to comment on right now but what I can say is that it was well written out and already has me wanting some more. It'll be nice to see what you will do with this.

Chapter 1.1: The Descrimination of Tradition Monday 25th June 2001 New York City, New York The next night, it was time for the Chairman of the World Wrestling Federation board, Vince McMahon to come out to the ring and adress the previously announced situation with the numerous run-ins from World Championship Wrestling. He opened up the show, talking about how there was rumors that we soon evaporated last night at King of the Ring concerning Chris Jericho or Chris Benoit taking the WWF Heavyweight Championship to WCW. Vince said that it was killed off and announced Benoit being out for a year with neck injury, briefly wishing him the best. Vince rants about Booker T and assures everybody that no WCW member has ever or well ever be inside the Madison Square Garden before moving on, honoring the legacy of his father and his grandfather, the Garden being the home of many event in WWF history. In the opening contest of the night, it was scheduled to be a match for the WWF Hardcore Championship as champion, Rhyno defended against uprising superstar, Test in a match that was fought throughout the arena and into the backstage area. It ended when WCW superstar, Mike Awesome powerbombed Rhyno onto a ladder and pinned him to steal the title! In the second match of the evening, it was a rematch from King of the Ring, the previous night as WWF Light-Heavyweight Champion, Jeff Hardy battled X-Pac in another athletic contest. It could of gone either way as both men refused to submit to defeat, but in the end it was Jeff Hardy who was rolled up as X-Pac put his feet on the ropes, X-Pac sneakily picking up the win. Vince McMahon is also seen during the night as he was able to confide with the WWF Heavyweight Champion, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and his wife, Debra alongside Vince's annoying friend, now-tweener, Kurt Angle (whom Austin disliked). Up next it was time for rememberance for ECW fans, as Tazz came out to meet Steven Richards in the ring and in Tazz's fashion, it ended extremely quickly with the deadly submission - the Tazzmission. Then, it was time for the King of the Ring Ceremony hosted by William Regal the WWF Commissioner, alongside Tajiri to the King of the Ring Winner, Edge. Edge came out with brother, Christian. Edge and Christian had some fun in the ring, acting like faces before the supposed face, "The One" Billy Gunn came out. Gunn acted like a heel and called out Edge, both men agreeing on a match later tonight. In the fourth contest of the night, it was time for the WWF Tag Team Championships to be defended as the champions, the Dudley Boyz took on the Brothers Of Destruction - the Undertaker and Kane. It was a lengthy battle as the Brothers Of Destruction seemed to be preparing to finish off the contest only for Albert to take out Kane leading to the win for the Dudley Boyz. Following the match, though, Diamond Dallas Page - DDP came out and jumped Taker and Sara on the stage. Then, in yet another title defense, it was WWF European Champion, Matt Hardy with the lovely Lita taking on the Big Show, accompanied tonight by Trish Stratus as it wasn't as one-sided as many had anticipated, Show apparently trying a ladies' man gimmick. Hardy was disqualified for Lita randomly low-blowing Show. Meanwhile, Shane McMahon and WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Booker T had gone to WWF New York, in Times Square where the two WCW employees called out Austin. Also during this time, the undercard superstars in the WWF had been hyping up a rebellion against the WCW invaders. Up next, it was Edge taking on Billy Gunn where Edge soon defeated Gunn, shutting Billy up after Billy had interrupted Edge's King of the Ring Ceremony earlier tonight. And then, in another hardcore ECW fan nostalgic match, it was William Regal's assistant, Tajiri taking on Chris Jericho in a stiff and hard-hitting spotfest, both men pulling down the house. Jericho soon picked up the win. And finally, Vince McMahon returned to the ring to wrap up this edition of RAW is WAR, saying about how WCW have only stolen the WWF Hardcore Championship as he cut a promo and that Mike Awesome is the only WCW superstar that has infiltrated Madison Square Garden, here tonight. Vince also notes that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Kurt Angle had gone to WWF New York in Times Square to get a piece of Shane McMahon and Booker T. We go live there but Austin and Angle find nobody else there. We go back to the arena as Booker T took out Vince with a Book-End and him and Shane are chased out of the Garden by the WWF Consortium. Up next was WWF SmackDown tapings, also live from the Madison Square Garden, the next night.

Chapter II: "Are You Afraid of Competition?" Thursday 28th June 2001 New York City, New York Following the heinus attacks the previous Monday night on RAW is WAR, it was obvious that a certain Chairman wasn't going to be the happiest man in Madison Square Garden for SmackDown. He kicked off the show by further cutting a promo on pretty much the entire arena as well as the situation with his son, Shane McMahon owning the invading company, World Championship Wrestling. His wife, the CEO of the WWF, Linda McMahon then made her way out to the arena as she reminded us of Vince's humiliating of a handicapped Linda from March. Linda questioned Vince's competitive spirit and announced that she'd canned WWF's July PPV, Fully Loaded and replaced it with a special WWF vs WCW show titled WWF InVasion. In the opening contest of this edition of SmackDown it featured Kane defending his WWF Intercontinental Championship against Albert, the man who attacked Kane on RAW. Kane looked like he had the match won but the referee was down and WCW superstar and Kane's brother's rival, Diamond Dallas Page cost Kane the title against Albert. Then, in tag team action it was a one-night-only reunion for former Degeneration X members, 'The One' Billy Gunn and WWF Light-Heavyweight Champion, X-Pac as they took on Edge and Christian. Edge and Christian picked up the win after Gunn was pinned by Christian. Then in an action to try and seperate a love story, Crash Holly persuaded MTV Tough Enough trainer, Jacqueline to fight his cousin, Molly as Molly teamed with boyfriend, Spike Dudley. It was a back and forth match but eventually, Molly pinned the putz, Crash. Jacqueline and Crash argued afterwards. Up next, it was the insane and bizarre Perry Saturn with a mop and Terri, taking on Big Show with 'partner' Trish Stratus. Saturn and Show battled as did Trish and Terri at ringside but Show chokeslammed Saturn for the win. Afterwards, it was time for the more featured bout here on SmackDown as the Dudley Boyz defended their WWF Tag Team Championships against Hardy Boyz in a tables match, identical to their match at Royal Rumble 2000, in the same venue. But WCW World Tag Team Champions, Chuck Palumbo and Sean O'Haire made a run-in as they put the Hardys through tables before the undercard WWF crew came out and chased off Palumbo and O'Haire. In a match hyped through backstage segments throughout the evening, it would be Chris Jericho and a mystery partner taking on the duo of William Regal and Tajiri. Scotty 2 Hotty returned from ankle injury to team with Jericho as he pinned Tajiri for the win. Finally, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, WWF Heavyweight Champion came out calling out any WCW superstar to a match at any time in any place, but tonight would be best. Tazz then got on the mic, saying how Austin brutalized Michael Cole last week on SmackDown and that he wanted Steve to apologize to him. Austin battered Tazz as he did even more to Cole before WCW Heavyweight Champion, Booker T came in and took out Austin before fleeing in a parked limousine in the parking lot as the WWF undercard crew were hot in persuit as SmackDown went off the air.

So far it's a well written backstory. But it's just that, a backstory. I hope you can be motivated to pump out shows once it gets going. And I hope you make the InVasion better than it actually was. Hope you strongly push Rock & Austin though above the rest.

Really well written backstory. The WCW invasions on the two different shows were pretty cool. I hope you get more guys involved instead of just Booker and a couple of others. The InVasion could have and should have been a great period in wrestling unfortunately it was ruined and in my opinion bringing ECW in definately killed it because WCW & ECW would have never worked together. Great write ups as usual from you man. Liking this so far.

The backstory was really well written. Although the Invasion angle sucked in the end I quite enjoyed a lot of the stuff during this time so I hope your version does well to. Wouldn't mind seeing some sort of different ending to this whole angle instead of WWF beating WCW at Survivor Series. Also please don't include ECW with WCW maybe make them their own group or something with RVD being their main guy or something. It could make it really interesting and give a lot of ECW people a good push.
Anyway looks good so far and I look forward to seeing more.

WRESTLE-NET.COM: The Home of the Best Wrestling Coverage est. 1999ARE YOU TOUGH ENOUGH?- This Thursday is the official continuation of the reality-television program, WWF Tough Enough, shown on MTV following SmackDown this Thursday. The number of contestants have been narrowed down to the final fifteen participants. While I don't watch this program as I feel it is fixed, I will instead mention who has been let go from the WWF Tough Enough program weekly, thankyou internet. - While the original first season of WWF Tough Enough has started and applications have been closed, you can still apply for WWF Tough Enough II beginning next spring, here is the form WWF.com has up on their website: - In other news, it appears as though the World Wrestling Federation are increasing their roster size especially and specifically for the upcoming storyline between WCW and WWF. The following have been reportedly signed: Air Paris Air Styles Disco Inferno Mikey Whipwreck Vampiro It appears as though WCW now also have a solid mid-card roster to join the WWF undercard. - In addition to these signings, apparently the WWF are negotiating a contract with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. It could be that Hall will probably become one of the main guys in the InVasion Angle while Nash manages (he was 'retired' by Scott Steiner in February) him. Probably these two will be faces upon possibly signing. Hall has been informed that in the WWF he has a clean slate. - WWF have also expressed feelings for signing Sting. Arguably the biggest star of the 90s not to be signed to the WWF, Vince McMahon has big plans for him in the Fall if Sting were to sign.

- The opening video for Sunday Night Heat played following the usual Attitude Era opening video package. Anyways, the opening video for Heat is the usual showing of some fire while 'Sunday Night Heat' scrolled across a short box in the bottom-right side of the screen. The logo appears as we go to the live arena. - We get right into the action as the announcers begin to hype up the upcoming card, featuring our main event, Justin Credible taking on the returning D'Lo Brown. That's when the theme of Chris Kanyon played as he appeared out of one of the fire escapes in the audience, Kanyon showing off his ticket and sitting right there in the front row. Jonathan Coachman walks to ringside to catch a word with Kanyon as Chris brags about how if Booker T could invade the WWF, then why couldn't Kanyon. He then executed his nice catchphrase 'Who Betta Than Kanyon'. Love it. - Jerry Lynn defeated Tajiri in 5:45. This match was a solid, hard-hitting contest between two former superstars from the defunct Extreme Championship Wrestling promotion. These two did so well in this match, the crowd that really cared for this contest chanted 'ECW' from start-to-finish. I should look up whether if these two ever had a match in ECW. Tajiri did some thunderous kicks to Lynn, him and his 'educated feet' as Jim Ross would say. Tajiri could of hit a Buzzsaw Kick on two or three occasions only for Lynn to dodge it. The Tarantula amused the audience but when Tajiri went to deliver that deadly green mist, Lynn ducked, kicked Tajiri in the gut and delivered a sit-out powerbomb (that's probably WWF making Lynn use that move as a finisher) for the win. ***1/4 - We see the two lightweight members of X-Factor, Justin Credible and WWF Light-Heavyweight Champion, X-Pac arrive, spoiler for the main event? Or hype. We go to commercials. - A commercial for WWF SmackDown! 2: Know Your Role plays. Good game. - The APA, Bradshaw and Faarooq stormed out to the ring as they both stood in the ring, Bradshaw went on a rant about how the WCW think they can do as they please. Faarooq assures everybody that the WWF is their house and that it will stay like that for a long --Ahem-- DAMN time. Bradshaw says that their opponents for tonight are two former WCW alumni, the ever-so-famous Los Vilanos! - The APA defeated Los Vilanos in 1:42. Yes, you did indeed read that correctly, this match lasted merely two minutes, which is pretty obvious considering that the two Vilanos are both midgets in comparison to the two APA members, Bradshaw and Faarooq. I'll give you the entire detail of this match. Bradshaw and Vilano V started off, lock-up but Bradshaw overpowered him, flipping him backwards. Vilano IV got the tag as Faarooq came in. Faarooq and Bradshaw double-teamed Vilano IV with a double flapjack. The APA with a Double Powerbomb on Vilano IV before Bradshaw took out Vilano V for the win. ** - We return to the arena where some WWF stock music plays, I heard it was called 'Doin the Joint', comically. Anyways, WCW Cruiserweight Champion, Hurricane Helms came out to join his WCW associate, Chris Kanyon in the front row. - Taka Michinoku defeated Steven Richards in 6:03. This was an okay match though it seemed like a filler, but then again the entire undercard of a show here on Sunday Night Heat is considered filler. Michinoku and Richards did some decent in-ring moves as both men fought a mat-based contest involving some nice aerial attacks. Richards came out in his Right to Censor attire but after Michinoku lost momentum following a missed crossbody, he tore off his shirt and tie, removing his pants to reveal his old attire, some tights. Seems like he's gone off the RTC style. Michinoku eventually regained momentum and hit the Michinoku Driver for the final three count. No sign of Sho Funaki. **3/4 - We go to a graphic hyping up the upcoming main event of the evening, Justin Credible vs. D'Lo Brown up next. We go to commercials. - Justin Credible defeated D'Lo Brown in 7:23. Justin Credible was accompanied by X-Pac here tonight, and I'd personally love to see these two men feud over X-Pac's WWF Light-Heavyweight Championship. Anyways, this was D'Lo Brown's in-ring return to the World Wrestling Federation since February I believe, D'Lo has thankfully dropped the absymal Foreign royalty gimmick, that team with Chaz (Headbanger Mosh) was awful. D'Lo came out to his 'You Bettah Recognise' theme. I loved that song, to be honest. These two both shared some nice in-ring skills as both men exchanged mat-based skills and hard-hitting moves, the match was fast-paced and D'Lo had the match won when going for his Frog Splash only for X-Pac to knock him down, Justin hitting That's Incredible (superkick) for the win. *** - Following the contest, D'Lo Brown ran Justin Credible out of the ring, leaving him alone in the ring as X-Factor celebrated on the ramp and we go off the air.

I love that you signed AJ Styles & I really hope you bring in Sting. Now, onto Heat. Lynn/Tajiri used to be a match I liked in ECW and it seemed just as good here. APA vs. Vilanos was a good funny squash. Justin Credible/D-Lo was a good main event for Heat. I'm liking your plans for the inVasion.
