Edge/Rey: Nice way to start off the show with two very good workers. Was given a good amount of time and was well written.
MVP/Funaki segment: I guess that was suppose to be a comedy segment. It was mildly funny.
Miz/Morrison/Flair segment: I could see a Morrison/Flair feud perhaps. I think Morrison is a great athlete and character, hopefully you push him to the moon.
Morrison/Wang: Morrison wins which was expected. Though it was a good match and not a squash which was nice to see. Perhaps a tag feud as well?
MVP/Finlay: Nice quick win by MVP. Good to see MVP beating some solid talent in Finlay.
Six man tag: I’m assuming this was a match to just some of the guys on the show. I am a fan of Kenny, so I’ll be interested if anything comes up for Kenny.
Taker/Edge Heads/Chavo: Good to see the Edgeheads and Chavo able to do the job and prevent Taker from winning. Although Taker was a second away, he doesn’t lose anything from the match.
Batista/Henry: I’m shocked the match nearly got four stars. Batista against Edge is OK I guess. That’s just been done to death. I’m sensing a Batista/Rey vs. Henry/Chavo tag match next week perhaps.
Overall: I liked the opening match. Didn’t like the six man tag match as it involved people that I don’t personally care for, other than Kenny. I do like Morrison/Flair for next week. Like the booking of the Edgeheads and Chavo being able to get the job done. Interested to see where this goes

Edge/Mysterio is a kick ass way to open up SD and it looked like one hell of a match. Glad Edge got the win but looks like his time was a little too long. MVP vs. Finlay looked like a solid match. Suprised Edge Heads lasted so long in the match with Taker. Meh, really hate that 'Tista won the Challenge. And Henry/Batista looked like a really bad match. Overall a solid show

The Royal Rumble card is shaping up well so far, Edge/Tista should be good, and Punk/Benjamin will be epic. Edge/Mysterio was a really good match, and I enjoyed Henry/Tista as well.

SmackDown! - The overall reaction to WWE Friday Night SmackDown last night was mainly positive, critics are calling it 'a good, solid way to kick off the brand in the year 2008'. There was a perfect balance of matches as well as segments, and really built up the card perfectly. SmackDown gathered a 3.20 Nielson rating from The CW, and The CW are still happy with SmackDown as a program. - Speaking of The CW being happy with Friday Night SmackDown, WWE signed a contract meaning that Friday Night SmackDown will run on The CW until Winter 2009. - Many WWE road agents were impressed with Mark Henry's solid main event match against Batista. Many thought that he had had his moment and that his career was coming to a close. - Cherry, Deuce, Domino, Drew McIntyre, The Great Khali and Festus' contracts were all scheduled to come to a close at the end of January 2008. All of those afore mentioned (except McIntyre) have been resigned. McIntyre is showing interests in returning to the independent circuit, though he has not under any circumstances burnt any bridges. - If you noticed where Great Khali was, don't be. Khali has recently been in agony what with his size getting him down, his legs beginning to struggle carrying around the 420 pounder. Watch the way he walks down an aisle in the future. He is going to work on a part-time basis, working one House Show and one SmackDown taping a week, plus a pay-per-view if he is needed. - Tommy Dreamer, Montel Vontanious Porter, Chavo Guerrero, Super Crazy, Jim Duggan and Chuck Palumbo all advanced into the Royal Rumble through two seperate House Shows over the recent few days. - Tommy Dreamer defeated James Curtis to advance on 01/03/2008 SmackDown/ECW House Show. - Montel Vontanious Porter defeated Shannon Moore to advance on 01/03/2008 SmackDown/ECW House Show. - Chuck Palumbo defeated Jamie Noble to advance on 01/03/2008 SmackDown/ECW House Show. - Chavo Guerrero defeated Jesse to advance on 01/03/2008 SmackDown/ECW House Show. - Jim Duggan and Super Crazy defeated The Highlanders to advance on 01/04/2008 RAW House Show. WWE RAW @ Uncasville, CT on Monday 7th January 2008 - The opening video package that airs on every piece of WWE programming plays, highlighting the biggest moments in wrestling history like a clip of Jess McMahon to Hulk Hogan, Bruno Sammartino, Steve Austin and finally John Cena as many catchphrases from past performers are all heard, like Vince McMahon's infamous line 'You're Fired'. - We cut to the backstage area where Vince McMahon and William Regal are both seen walking down a corridor as McMahon asks Regal what he wanted to see him about, about an idea he had for tonight's edition of WWE RAW. Regal hyped it for a few moments before opening the door, letting Vince go in first as Regal points at a familiar looking wheel. Vince tells Regal that it better be good as Regal laughs, announcing the main event as being not only Randy Orton vs Chris Jericho for the WWE Championship but also saying that tonight, Uncasville, California becomes Las Vegas with RAW Roulette! - "To Be Loved" by Papa Roach begins to play as the video package is seen involving many RAW performers hitting trademark moves like Jeff Hardy landing the Swanton Bomb as Triple H's Pedigree is also seen. It ends with us seeing the RAW logo appear before cutting away. - We go to the live arena where pyrotechnics went off, us looking at the RAW stage for the show, the announcers Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler hyping the upcoming two hours here on WWE RAW. - Shawn Michaels and Mr Kennedy defeated Carlito and Cody Rhodes in a Strange Bedfellows match in 7:22. This was actually a pretty decent match for what was one TNA'ed out stipulated contest. The two teams battled as it was obvious the main purpose of this bout was to get the program between Mr Kennedy and Shawn Michaels over, but then again Carlito and Santino Marella are the new team on the block, and Cody Rhodes is one half of the World Tag Team Champions. Michaels and Rhodes started off, showing mutual respect as the two locked up and had a technical affair before the two heels got tagged in which they tagged in the faces again. Kennedy eventually hit the Mic Check on Cody before Michaels got a blind tag in, giving Kennedy some Sweet Chin Music before pinning Cody for the win. **1/2 - Shawn Michaels began to celebrate, helping Cody Rhodes to his feet and celebrating with him as Carlito was shown with a look of disgust on his face from ringside, Kennedy sitting up, holding his mouth. - We cut to the room where the RAW Roulette wheel was, as Santino Marella, Maria and William Regal were all standing. Santino makes small talk to Maria about how not to worry about fighting the 'Zonaglamor'. Maria said that she'd be fine and that Santino should worry about Hardcore Holly tonight. Regal kills the chat by spinning the wheel, Santino vs Holly being a First Blood match. Santino looks concerned but acts all macho for Maria, spinning the wheel for her match with Beth, landing on Bra and Panties rules. - Commercials. - Beth Phoenix defeated Maria in a bra and panties non-title match in 4:09. This was a nothing a match, a pure filler used for eye candy and to further utilize Beth Phoenix as a completely dominate female and why she is the WWE Womens Champion today. Maria seemed confident as she took down Beth with some awful takedowns, Beth simply overpowering her, only for Maria to get up again, moments later unharmed. The two battled and rolled in the ring before Beth tore off Maria's bra whilst Santino Marella appeared at ringside, but she didn't look like she cared. Maria tried to get Beth's top off but she collapsed to the floor, pantsing Maria simultaneously for the win. -* - Beth Phoenix took Maria's torn-up clothing from off of the canvas, heading to the back in celebration with her precious WWE Womens Championship as Maria got to her feet in her bra and panties, feeling awkward for moments before flaunting her stuff and dancing for seconds only for Santino Marella to block her, using his jacket. Hardcore Holly then rushes down to the ring, jumping Santino Marella as the official rings the bell, immediately setting up the next match. - Hardcore Holly defeated Santino Marella in a First Blood match in 6:57. Another decent contest here, finally a breath of fresh-air, no sloppy women wrestling action or tag team oddball action, this was straight-up between two solid midcarders, whose partners teamed with one-another unsuccessfully in the opening contest. Maria watched from ringside in Santino's jacket, bending over a lot, getting a louder pop, as it was whenever Holly was on offense, one way to get Holly over. Santino eventually regained momentum and went after Maria, covering her ass with his hands. Hardcore then rolled out of the ring, took down Santino and slammed him into the ring steps. Moments after, Santino was seen bleeding from the nose. **1/4 - As Santino Marella struggled around, bloody nose and all, Maria took off his jacket and helped Santino wipe it off. Marella snatched his jacket, Hardcore Holly already gone to the backstage area. With nobody but Maria near the ring, she got into the ring and began flaunting again in her bra and panties. - We cut to the parking lot where Randy Orton is seen stepping out of his car, the WWE Championship over his shoulder as Todd Grisham confronts him for an interview. Grisham asks for his thoughts on his match tonight. Orton questions Todd before Todd informs Orton that he's fighting Chris Jericho for his WWE Championship in a RAW Roulette match tonight. Orton curses, demanding he see William Regal. Todd leads the way. - Commercials. - Following the commercials, we see Jeff Hardy negotiating with William Regal in the RAW Roulette room. Regal says something about tonight not being for his WWE Intercontinental Championship. Regal says that he has another idea but got cut off by Randy Orton, agressively kicking down the door (where did Todd go?) Orton asks Regal what is going on tonight. Regal goes through his plans for the main event, Randy Orton vs Chris Jericho for the WWE Championship. Orton got in Regal's face, demanding he change it. That's when Jeff got in Orton's face, both men on the verge of exploding before Randy ultimately stormed away. Regal spins the wheel for Jeff Hardy's upcoming match against John Bradshaw Layfield, it lands on 'Hardcore Rules'. Regal then continues with what his idea was and that since Orton could lose the WWE Championship tonight, what if Jeff Hardy could lose his contenders spot? Regal wishes Hardy luck. - Jeff Hardy defeated John Bradshaw Layfield to retain his Contention to the WWE Championship in a Hardcore match in 11:19. This was a solid encounter between two men of two different sizes and styles, as both men grappled in and out, but whenever that happened, Jeff had to revert to his fast-paced high-offense action. JBL overpowered Hardy whenever Jeff tried to lock up with Jeff and took down Jeff repeatedly, even threatening Jeff's career with the usage of a table and a steel-chair. Hardy used the chair to his advantage, however but unfortunately it didn't work out too well, sure it stunned JBL but whenever he tried to pin Layfield, he kicked out at the last second. Layfield almost won with the Clothesline From Hell but Chris Jericho ran down the ramp, rushing into the ring and hammering JBL over the head with a chair, payback from Armageddon. Jeff hit a Swanton Bomb and retained his contention spot! **1/4 - We cut to the backstage area where Vince McMahon, Hornswoggle and William Regal are all standing by the RAW Roulette wheel. Vince tells Hornswoggle that he has a plan in which he could continue the legacy of the McMahon family. Regal announces that in the next bout it'd be a Royal Rumble Qualifying match as Paul London and Brian Kendrick would fight Charlie Haas and Trevor Murdoch. He spins the wheel as it lands under 'Guest Referee'. McMahon looks at Hornswoggle as he announces his plans. McMahon tells Hornswoggle that he's counting on him to go along with being the referee for the next match, and if he does it fairly then Hornswoggle will be entered into the Royal Rumble match by default. Hornswoggle acts excited. - Paul London and Brian Kendrick defeated Charlie Haas and Trevor Murdoch in a Royal Rumble Preliminary match in which Hornswoggle was acting as the guest referee in 7:45. This was an awesome match here between four solid performers, even Trevor Murdoch did a good job of this match, using his impressive Canadian-Destroyer move to a good ovation. By the audience though, Hornswoggle made the match from a filler, it was amusing to see him counting '2, 7-kickout'. Anyways, Haas came out in Lance Cade style gear as London started with Haas. Haas began to dominate, Murdoch and Haas working well as a team. Kendrick eventually came in and finished Haas off with the Sliced Bread #2 for the '2-7-3' count. **** - William Regal spins the RAW Roulette wheel for the main event, Chris Jericho vs Randy Orton for the WWE Championship. It lands on a Steel-Cage match. - Commercials. - Randy Orton defeated Chris Jericho to RETAIN the WWE Championship in a steel-cage match in 12:59. This was a great contest in which I think overshadowed their previous encounter back at WWE Armageddon. This match consisting of these two beating the crap out of each other and it was given a lot of air-time, so much they got ten minutes added onto the broadcast. I think the tg team match prior to this went overtime. Orton and Jericho did a routine against one-another where one man would hit a trademark move, go to escape, get dragged in then would work over his opponent before going over the routine once again. It was entertaining every single time the cycle began and ended. Orton worked on the neck of Jericho as Jeff Hardy was seen watching on from a backstage monitor, actually cheering on both men. Makes me wonder which match would be better, Hardy vs Jericho or Hardy vs Orton. Or there's a triple threat match, that'd be nice. Anyways, Orton ended up bleeding and Jericho hit the Codebreaker, but just when about to climb through the ropes and out of the door, John Bradshaw Layfield appeared, slammed the door over Jericho's head and Orton hit the RKO for the victory. *** - Following the match, Randy Orton celebrated with the WWE Championship before joining John Bradshaw Layfield in double-teaming, busting open and beating down Chris Jericho inside the cage. However, Jeff Hardy then rushed down the ramp, climbing the cage before hitting an AWESOME Whisper in the Wind from the top of the cage. Hardy helped Jericho up before standing on top of the cage, over Jericho as RAW went off the air. - OVERALL: **3/4

I like the RAW logo, tbh. The match was a good opener. I would have rather seen Michaels in the middle of the show. Glad Kennedy and Michaels won. The detail you put in the macthes are good as well. I saw you type that Hardy hit the Swanton Bomb and I was thinking Hardy is on Smackdown but, this is 2008. Michaels helping Cody Rhodes is pretty weird to me. Glad Beth won the match. Please push Santino. Holly vs. Santino in a First Blood. I know it's the RAW Roulette special but, that would be the worst match, tbh. Glad Jeff had won and retained the title. Eh, I wouldn't have liked to see the second last main event for this show second last. It should have been first or something, tbh. Main Event was awesome. I didn't carew whether Orton won or Jericho won. RAW's ending was awesome. Great RAW show. I know the booking was odd because of the special RAW so, hopefully the next RAW show will be good.

-Raw Roulette? Nice -I like how you did the Strange Bedfellows, with HBK/Kennedy feuding and Carlito being in a tag team and teaming with a Tag Team Champ -Weird seeing Santino with a girl against Beth -Just what I would expect from a bra & panties match, and Holly/Santino first blood is weird -I like the idea of Jeff's contention being on the line and glad he won -I hate Murdoch's Canadian Destroyer type move, but I like the match and Hornswoggle's 2-7-3 count -Great main event, JBL's interference makes sense. I loved the ending with Jeff hitting the Whisper in the Wind
Real good Raw

Raw Roulette is cool, but I wish you had announced it ahead of time. Good opener, and I could see those four having a match next week with different teams. B & P match was ironic since those are the two divas Santino has been with. I also liked his backstage segment acting all macho and what not. Nice idea with Maria giving Santino her jacket, and being able to flaunt her stuff. Hardy winning was the right move. Hornswoggle in the Rumble match is pretty weird. Good finisher to Raw, as it didn't really make Jericho look weak at all.

RAW - The reaction to RAW last night was positive, critics are calling it 'a great show that should encourage TNA to get better, unlike their overflow of stipulation matches, these were perfectly timed and decent overall'. RAW gathered a 4.12 Nielson rating from USA Network. - Just an update on WWE RAW's contract with USA Network to air, the contract lasts up until the September 1st 2008 edition of RAW, and if USA are as pleased as they are currently with WWE, it'll probably go on longer. - The current plan for the World Tag Team Champions, Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes is for Cody to turn heel on Holly and have a run with Dusty Rhodes as his manager. WWE management seem to like the sound of that as Cody has the right amount of charisma. As for Hardcore Holly, he'll probably go back to ECW after this spring's draft. The World Tag Team Championships will either go to Carlito and Santino Marella, Paul London and Brian Kendrick or a planned new team, which is unknown to us presently. - Lance Cade has failed the WWE Wellness Policy drug test and has been sent to rehabilitation. This is Cade's first violation of the WWE Wellness Policy and is suspended for 30 days. - Candice Michelle, Cody Rhodes, DH Smith, Jerry Lawler, Jillian Hall and Snitsky have all resigned to contracts with the WWE. All of their contract were scheduled to end on February 1st 2008 but all have been resigned. The only exception is Jim Duggan, who plans to retire from the WWE and has no intention of signing another contract. - There are plans for WWE to resign Shad Gaspard and JTG as Cryme Tyme but as heels. It is rumored, anyways. - Jeff Hardy has shown a random want for Hornswoggle to become his manager. No idea on why Jeff wants this. WWE may give it three or four shows or just ignore his request altogether. Hardy feels it could help his charisma. - Bobby Lashley has signed another contract after not extending his contract length last month. It expired on January 1st 2008 and Lashley was let go with a 90 day no-compete clause but WWE has offered him more money and will most likely compete in the WWE Intercontinental Championship division. - Cody Rhodes, Hardcore Holly and Triple H have all advanced into the Royal Rumble on non-televised events recently. Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes defeated The Highlanders on a RAW House Show on 01/06/2008. Triple H defeated Umaga on a RAW House Show on 01/06/2008.

ECW on Sci-Fi @ Wilkes-Barre, PA on Tuesday 8th January 2008- The opening video package that airs on every piece of WWE programming plays, highlighting the biggest moments in wrestling history like a clip of Jess McMahon to Hulk Hogan, Bruno Sammartino, Steve Austin and finally John Cena as many catchphrases from past performers are all heard, like Vince McMahon's infamous line 'You're Fired'. - "Don't Question My Heart" by Saliva begins to play as the video package is seen involving many ECW performers hitting trademark moves like Elijah Burke nailing the Elijah Express as CM Punk hitting the Go To Sleep is also seen. It ends with us seeing the ECW logo appear before cutting away. - We go to the live arena where pyrotechnics went off, us looking at the unique stage setup for ECW on Sci-Fi, the announcers Joey Styles and Tazz hyping the upcoming hour here on the ECW brand. - The beats of Killswitch Engage kick off this edition of ECW on Sci-Fi as the ECW World Champion, CM Punk made his way out from the backstage area with a shirt over his trunks with the always-present, ECW World Championship. Punk walks into the ring where he gets a small CM Punk chant, Punk grabbing a hold of a microphone before cutting a promo on Shelton Benjamin, calling him a phenomenal athlete and one of the more natural stars in the WWE today. Punk tells Benjamin that he hasn't met him however in the ring before because he will take Benjamin out. Punk is soon interrupted however by the theme of John Morrison, and soon after the WWE Tag Team Champions, John Morrison and The Miz made their way onto the aisle. Morrison stated that he had unfinished business with Punk after their previous encounter over the perod of 2007. Miz repeats Morrison before they both challenge CM Punk to find a partner for the main event. - Commercials. - Kofi Kingston and Stevie Richards defeated The Anti-Society to advance into the Royal Rumble match in 6:29. You read it correctly, Kevin Thorn (returning as a vampire) and Mike Knox (dressed in black tights and singlet) entered and were announced as being the Anti-Society. Interesting, really. They need Ariel back, or hire somebody with good evil charisma. A new Raven's Flock would be good. Anyways, this was an undercard match, a fairly okay way to kick off ECW on Sci-Fi in the ring as Kofi Kingston was still sloppy, but didn't do as many botches or cock-ups. Kingston and Thorn started, Stevie Richards got the tag and then the Anti-Society began pounding on Richards. Kofi finally got the tag and went off on one against the two evil superstars before it was violently stopped when Thorn nailed Kofi with a steel chair. *1/2 - After the match, Kofi Kingston was attended to by two or three officials and Stevie Richards as the newly formed Anti-Society left, Kevin Thorn laughing maliciously. - We return from the commercial break as we see Shelton Benjamin and Elijah Burke standing around in the ECW interview area, talking about the situation of the ECW World Championship and that they should stick together until one man gets in the ring with CM Punk for the title. Burke says that if Benjamin gets in his way then he'll have to give Shelton the Elijah Experience. Benjamin ignored that comment, offering his hand to Burke, Burke slapping it and doing his ghetto-hug. - We cut to the live arena where Colin Delaney was in the ring to some reaction, but those were probably from CHIKARA marks, since Delaney worked there. Wonder where his brother is...I forget his name. Anyways, Colin announced that he was told to be in the ring now by orders of Armando Estrada. Estrada then entered, Colin asking Armando for some heart. Armando references the name of the ECW theme song before introducing his opponent for tonight, Big Daddy V. - Big Daddy V defeated Colin Delaney in 1:20. This match wasn't the greatest in the world, but it served its purpose and did something useful and that is advance Colin Delaney (if you can anyways) and Big Daddy V's characters. Big V just simply battered Colin, hammered Colin, choked Colin and interrogated Colin. Whatever kind of nasty, brutal word you can call what V did to Delaney, it was here. A nothing match really. V pounded Delaney in the corner, slammed him around, applied a bear hug then slammed him soon after before hitting his patented and deadly Elbow Drop for the win. *1/4 - Big Daddy V and Matt Striker celebrated in the ring as Armando Estrada looked on from the aisle, waving somebody out as Mark Henry joined the party, the three men continuing their assault on Delaney with a powerbomb from Striker, a World's Strongest Slam from Henry and another Elbow Drop from V. - Commercials. - A Royal Rumble advertisement airs, live on pay-per-view on Sunday 27th January 2008 from Madison, Square Garden in New York City. - We go to the live arena where Tazz was in the ring, all dressed up in his suit as he introduced us to the women of ECW, which are both equally useless and time wasters. Only thing they're good for is their body and luckily, this is what it was about. Tazz introduced us to the New Year Bikini Contest. Layla El made her way to the ring first, dressed in a black robe which went down to her thighs whereas Kelly Kelly's was blue going to her ankles. Kelly got a decent pop. Layla undressed, strutting her stuff in some bondage-leather bikini, her dancing sucks. I hate her. Kelly Kelly undressed, dressed in a white bikini, ass out and all. Damn I could eat her off of a cracker. I love ass, heh. Kelly won before Layla jumped her. - Tommy Dreamer greets Colin Delaney in the backstage area as Colin has a bandage on his chest, his ribs and his knee. Dreamer jokes, teasing that this is deja vu from last week. Delaney doesn't find this funny before Dreamer tells Colin to hang in there and soon he'll end up on his way to winning something. Heck, one day in the future Colin could be ECW World Champion while Tommy is happily retired. He roughs Delaney up, patting him on the injured shoulder. - A graphic hypes up the main event. - Commercials. - CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer defeated John Morrison and The Miz. John Morrison and The Miz retain the WWE Tag Team Championships in 16:27. This match was probably the match of the night as it featured a lot of spots in which got the audience popping and as the heading says, Tommy Dreamer turned out to be CM Punk's partner for this match. Morrison and The Miz tried to beat down Dreamer, working away at his shoulder, trying to turn him into Delaney but for the first few minutes, Morrison and Miz were repeatedly taken down by Tommy. CM Punk eventually got the tag but unfortunately, the official didn't see it and so Dreamer remained in the ring, trapped with nothing to do but be tortured by the unforgiving WWE Tag Team Champions. The Miz eventually messed up, missing the Reality Check before Dreamer delivered a lariat, taggig in Punk. Punk went on a roll and eventually nailed the Go To Sleep on Miz but John Morrison rolled into the ring and blind-sighted Punk with the WWE Tag Team Championship belt. **1/2 - John Morrison and The Miz began to leave the ring, beginning to walk up the aisle as Elijah Burke and Shelton Benjamin appeared, both men making their way down to the ring and meeting a one-armed Tommy Dreamer and a semi-conscious CM Punk. Burke and Dreamer & Benjamin and Punk brawled, but Punk eventually gave Benjamin an enziguri, Dreamer a lariat (with his good arm), sending the heels away from ringside. Burke repeatedly yelled that it'd be him vs Punk next week as the two heels backed up the aisle. ECW on Sci-Fi goes off the air. OVERALL: *3/4

Good opening segment, hopefully Punk finds a good partner. Tag team match was weird, and a Knox/Thorn pairing is a little random. I like a Burke/Shelton pairing, and hope it continues on for a while. I hope you find something interesting for Delaney to do besides just getting squashed every week. Decent main event, although Dreamer as the partner was a little disappointing, but understandable. I like leaving off with Burke reminding the audience that he would face Punk next week.

ECW - The reaction to ECW on Sci-Fi last night was that it capitalized on segments as well as matches, unlike last week where there was only one or two segments in comparison to four matches. Critics are calling it 'better than last week's show, good improvement, could use some SmackDown midcard talent to make it even better, however'. - ECW on Sci-Fi last night scored a 1.41 rating from the Sci-Fi Network, 0.09 down from last week's show but the Sci-Fi Network are still pleased with the product. - It is rumored that Colt Cabana will be moving up to the ECW brand in the upcoming weeks, at maximum before WrestleMania XXIV. WWE want to capture him as the face and eventually engage him in a feud with CM Punk over the course of the summer, Punk becoming a heel at one point. - The Anti-Society, Kevin Thorn and Mike Knox are announced to only be the start of new faction that will be like Raven's Flock or The Brood. The duo have captured the brawling style but will be adding an aerial artist as well as a technical wrestler to join the emo group. - If you haven't noticed, Colin Delaney has entered a mini-feud with Armando Estrada, Estrada playing the heartless General Manager, giving Delaney a lot of challenges that he will fail. This should climax come April or something when Estrada will battle Colin for the GM spot. Nothing is positive yet. - WWE are really pushing for Big Daddy V to drop at least 15 pounds. V is one of the biggest men in the WWE and many internet dirtsheet readers are nicknaming him 'Abdullah the Butcher Jr'. If V doesn't drop 15 pounds then him and Mark Henry as a team will be going nowhere. - Expect more SmackDown superstars to appear on ECW on Sci-Fi as many inside the WWE feel that it could help rise up the ratings for the show.

I like the sound of Mizorrison vs Punk and partner, I expect a extremist to partner him...
I would have preferred the Anti-Society winning this... I guess Kingston getting momentum is a nice move, though.
BDV beating Delaney in a squash is pretty meh, I'm not a fan of any of those really...
Yeh, Dreamer perhaps expected him to team with Punk here. I'm not big on the DQ ending as it makes Morrison look weak, I like the final part with Burke and Benjamin though.
overall a Okay ECW Show :-)

WWE Friday Night SmackDown @ Wilkes-Barre, PA on Friday 11th January 2008 - The opening video package that airs on every piece of WWE programming plays, highlighting the biggest moments in wrestling history like a clip of Jess McMahon to Hulk Hogan, Bruno Sammartino, Steve Austin and finally John Cena as many catchphrases from past performers are all heard, like Vince McMahon's infamous line 'You're Fired'. - "Rise Up" by Drowning Pool begins to play as the video package is seen involving many SmackDown performers hitting trademark moves like Batista nailing the Spinebuster as Undertaker hitting the Tombstone is also seen. It ends with us seeing the SmackDown logo appear before cutting away. - We go to the live arena where pyrotechnics went off, us looking at the unique stage setup for Friday Night SmackDown, the announcers Michael Cole and Jonathan Coachman hyping the upcoming two hours here on The CW. - The theme of Edge plays to immediately kick off this edition of SmackDown as the fans immediately begin to boo along with those audience-purifiers that make the reaction sound even more evil. Edge comes out, carting the General Manager of SmackDown, Vickie Guerrero down the aisle as that sets off Vickie with even more boos. Edge is noticably not in his in-ring attire. Obviously Vickie isn't going to give him anything too big to do tonight, heh. The crowd drowns out Vickie's voice causing her to get Edge on the audience, verbally. Edge demands that they listen to his fiancee, Vickie, throwing in a cheap Pennsylvania insult too. Vickie begins to adress the 'loving' audience, saying that since Batista somehow snailed his way into contention against Edge, that she has no choice than to let it be. After all, Batista did do it fairly. However Vickie says that Batista needs to feel more pain and have more momentum, as beating an ape like Mark Henry doesn't mean a thing. Vickie gives Batista a match tonight against The Great Khali. Edge grins maliciously as Vickie Guerrero passes him the microphone from the comfort of her very own wheelchair. Edge tells everybody that he does not fear anybody, pretty obvious. Edge tells Batista that him and Vickie are not doing this to try and weaken him in time for the Royal Rumble. They are merely trying to get him into a strong beast, ready to fight like a real animal at Royal Rumble, as that he failed to do last year when they fought at Vengeance, last July. Edge wishes Batista luck as we cut away. - Commercials. - Jesse and Festus defeated Deuce 'N' Domino in a Royal Rumble Qualifying match in 7:20. This was a fairly alright match, Jesse and Domino were probably the highlights of the match and most valuable performers in this tag team contest, to start off WWE Friday Night SmackDown in the ring. Deuce and Festus as Festus began his usual array of MMA-esque brawling with Deuce but that's when Domino got the tag and Deuce clanged the time-keeper's hammer against the ring bell, leaving Festus defenseless against the throwback team from the 50s. They worked over Festus before Festus eventually lead both men into a clothesline, tagging in Jesse. Jesse did some nice moves as Deuce tried to reintroduce the ring bell, attempting to swing it at Jesse, only to be knocked down. Jesse rang the bell as Festus went beserk. He hit the TKO on Domino and that was it. *3/4 - The bell sounds again as Jesse helps the once-again defenseless Festus back to his feet, celebrating with the big man to some nice reaction from the younger part of the audience. Deuce then nailed Jesse in the head with the ring bell's hammer before Domino gave Festus a low-blow. Deuce 'N' Domino then double clotheslined Festus outside the ring, celebrating with Cherry. - We cut to the backstage area where John Morrison and The Miz are hanging around before they are confronted by SmackDown Number One Announcer, Funaki. Funaki asks Morrison why he's so disrespectful to "'WooWoo Boy' Ricky Flair". Morrison slaps the microphone out of Funaki's hand as the Japanese jobber boy walks away, Morrison grabbing the microphone and talking about how Flair is a complete washup that just so happens to be on the verge of retirement. But at the same time, he is taking over television with his stupid Career Threatening stipulation. Morrison declines Naitch's challenge before saying that tonight however, Morrison will let Ric Flair lose his career in the WWE to The Miz. Hoorah~! - Kane defeated Mark Henry in 8:04. Woah, another great match for Mark Henry, I am really starting to buy into this guy. He is slowly becoming a decent competitor, which is really suprising as I thougth his career was dying out like a melted lit candle. Kane and Henry battled back-and-forth as they both attempted to knock the other down, causing some nice brawling. Kane eventually began to fire away at Henry after being hitten with some big-hands to the upper body of the former inferno-man. Henry eventually caught Kane trying a running crossbody (pretty unique from him, but then again he has done a hurricanrana on Albert before and does some sweet dropkicks), catching him with a bear hug, isolating the Big Red Monster for minutes, causing the audience to chant Kane's name. Kane eventually fought back, hitting the Chokeslam but that's when Henry's ECW associate, Big Daddy V alongside Matt Striker came down the aisle. Kane rolled out of the ring and attempted to grab Striker only to get nailed by V, causing the disqualification. **1/2 - The bell rang as Kane was hammered away at by Big Daddy V, slamming Kane right into the steel steps at ringside. Matt Striker himself got a few stomps in before Mark Henry climbed out of the ring, the trio just assaulting Kane. That's when a gong was heard in the arena, causing an outroar from the crowd. Thunder sounded as the arena lights went out. When they returned about thrity seconds later, Kane was gone and Big Daddy V, Mark Henry & Matt Striker were left swallowing the air in shock! - Commercials. - A RAW Rebound promo airs, reviewing the RAW Roulette night, showing us highlights from the steel-cage WWE Championship defense by Randy Orton against Chris Jericho as well as the successful contenders shot defense by Jeff Hardy against John Bradshaw Layfield in no holds barred. - Ric Flair defeated The Miz in a Career Threatening match in 07:52. This could of been a great match in which both men could of exchanged some nice technical moves, but the Miz was really green in this contest. And not of envy, either. Flair simply joked with Miz and I predict that everybody in this arena predicted that Flair would win this contest, I mean there's a feud going with Flair and John Morrison, so why would Flair's career end here against The Miz? Anyway, the audience were the loudest they were so far in the evening as they woo'ed extra loud whenever Flair hit the infamous knife-edge chop. Miz did get some momentum in however, he almost threatened Flair's career with a botched suplex, as well as bloodying Flair's nose with the knee-to-the-face part of the Reality Check. Flair eventually caught Miz going for a toe kick, tripping Miz over and applying the Figure-Four Leglock as Miz almost instantly tapped. *1/2 - Ric Flair begins to celebrate in the ring as the fallen WWE Tag Team Champion, The Miz began to crawl his way up the aisle, making it to the dome section where fellow partner, John Morrison appeared, giving Flair an obnoxious smirk, a microphone in hand noticably. Morrison literally held it up in te air, the crowd booing him. Morrison told Flair that since him and The Miz underestimated Flair, then he can try and teach them some respect as it will be John Morrison taking on Ric Flair at the Royal Rumble! - We see Montel Vontanious Porter appear from a limousine in the parking lot as the announcers, Michael Cole and Jonathan Coachman began to put over MVP'S VIP Lounge special with Finlay up next. - A commercial for the Royal Rumble plays. Live on pay-per-view on Sunday 27th January 2008 from Madison Square Garden, New York City. - We go to the live arena where the tunnel for MVP is set up as the crowd boo, his theme playing. MVP jumps through the tunnel wearing a suit as he gains a lot of heat from the audience, walking down the ramp and being allowed to get to the ring by a bouncer, standing on the aisle, I heard he's known as Oleg Prudius in the developmental territory. Wish I could remember what it was called. MVP added some more heat, mentioning that he's better than everybody and that if anybody thinks he isn't better than anybody, then they'll get the old Matt Hardy treatment. MVP introduced his guest for this evening, a failure from Northern Ireland, Finlay. Finlay came out as he stared bouncer Prudius in the face, climbing into the ring. MVP asks Finlay what happened to his career, noting that several months ago he was a toughman from Ireland, who wasn't afraid of a beer and hated a little leprechaun, then named 'Little Bastard'. MVP asks Finlay why he befriended Hornswoggle. Finlay announces that he hasn't lost his touch. MVP pokes the old bear more and more before Finlay shoves MVP down, leaving the ring in complete anger. MVP uses that as an example of why he is better than everybody else. - Commercials. - We cut to Vickie Guerrero's room where Vickie Guerrero is taking a sip of something as Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder are standing on either side of the General Manager. That's when Chuck Palumbo walks in to a small pop with Michelle McCool as Palumbo eyeballs both Edgeheads. Vickie asks Chuck what he and his plastic friend wants. Palumbo asks Vickie for a match tonight against Edge. Vickie goes off on on about how obnoxious he is, saying he'll give Chuck a match, in which he will team with Rey Mysterio to take on the Edgeheads in a Tag Team Tables match up next! - The announcers stall as they hype up the main event as well as the Royal Rumble card. - Chuck Palumbo and Rey Mysterio defeated The Edgeheads in a tag team tables match in 9:02. An actually decent contest in which the two men who idolize the World Heavyweight Champion (you know, that guy who likes to snuggle with his girlfriend and the geek who buys Jakks WWE figures), Edge worked well with the thrown together duo of Rey Mysterio and Chuck Palumbo. Ryder and Hawkins reminded me definately of the Dudley Boyz as they repeatedly chased Michelle McCool and harrassed her, targetting her to be put through a table. On all attempts, either Mysterio or Palumbo broke it up. There was a lot of great stuff in this match, too. It was really unlikely that Mysterio would win the match for his team too, considering his opponents each weighed 70 pounds more than him. So that could easily get Palumbo the midcarder over. Palumbo did just that, too. Mysterio hit the 619 on Hawkins and then Palumbo hit the Dominator on him through a table. **1/2 - Chuck Palumbo and Rey Mysterio celebrate as Vickie Guerrero and Edge look on in distress from the backstage area. - A graphic hypes up our main event, Batista against The Great Khali in the main event up next. - A 'Don't Try This At Home' vignette is ran by Batista. His charisma is awful. - Commercials. - Batista defeated The Great Khali in 5:12. May God have mercy on our souls! These two men had awesome chemistry which is so suprising may just grab a shotgun and pull the trigger on myself or take off my clothes and dance for men. Good lord, this is one of Khali's finest moments, though obviously the match didn't go as long due to Khali's mangled up legs. Batista had some nice offense and Khali sold some moves, but obviously he still got the lot of criticism. Shame, because Khali's a decent actor. If he can sell bumps in action films, why not on WWE SmackDown? Batista hit the Spinebuster but Ranjin Singh got involved on the apron, Khali applied the Vice Grip though, Batista grabbed a firm hold of the ropes, even sneakily lowblowing Khali without the official's acknoledgement as Batista hit another Spinebuster for the win! ***1/4 - Batista began to celebrate as he took Ranjin Singh down from the apron, signalling a change of World Heavyweight Champions, come Royal Rumble on Sunday 27th January 2008. That's when Edge came down the aisle and nailed the Spear just flattening Batista. Batista's sold it like he'd been shot in the lung. Edge stood tall as WWE Friday Night SmackDown went off the air. - OVERALL: ***

Ok opening promo setting up what I would assume would be the main event. Ok tag team match. Good backstage promo by Miz & Morrison. Potentially good stuff with Taker & Kane. Wonder where you are going with that, assuming that is where it's going. Flair winning was predictable but fine. Nice line calling Finlay a failure from Ireland. Mysterio & Palumbo was a weird but interesting combo. Good way to build Batista up to face Edge. It was a decent show, but I honestly felt that the side commentary was a bit too much.

-Smackdown on my b-day, yay!!! -Very realistic to have Vickie book Batista/Khali -I would've rather had DnD win, and how's Festus gonna do in the Rumble without the help of a bell ringing once he comes out -Good stuff from Miz & Morrison -Seems like you're really trying to push Mark Henry -Flair winning was obvious -Morrison/Flair at the Rumble is a good mid-card match -Using Kozlov as a bouncer is good to me, cuz I never found Kozlov to be anything special -An MVP/Finlay feud is ok I guess, unless that was just to get Finlay as a tough guy again -Man, I hate Palumbo but he & Mysterio make more sense for the Rumble than the Edgeheads -I can't buy into a Khali/Batista match being three stars
Decent Smackdown

SmackDown! - The overall reaction to WWE Friday Night SmackDown last night were positive, though some are criticising the overusage of Ric Flair, especially after John Morrison noted that last night in that backstage segment 'hogging air time'. People are still criticizing Mark Henry and Great Khali, despite their suprisingly decent performances last night. - WWE Friday Night SmackDown last night received a 3.13. This is down from last week's edition but The CW are still pleased. - It is expected for Bobby Lashley to return to the WWE at the Royal Rumble, though WWE management are thinking of placing him back on the SmackDown brand, knowing there isn't a whole lot for him to achieve of RAW, definately out of the WWE Championship range. - Expect more ECW superstars to appear on SmackDown. WWE have taken note that ECW on Sci-Fi is not the best time to showcase their probably purest talent and so, there should be more involvement of ECW talent to get those lesser-over talents over. - The Great Khali is barely clinging on to his career, as his legs continue to become more agonizing. Though, his performance last night was said to be only because Khali had to get off of his feet. Referring to his selling last night, that is. Khali has reported that he will attempt to last until WrestleMania XXIV and then probably retire to perform in more movies. - Finlay is expected to feud with Hornswoggle soon going into WrestleMania XXIV, his program against Montel Vontanious Porter and SmackDown's VIP Lounge segment with MVP serving as an arc for Finlay's future heel turn. - The following advanced into the Royal Rumble over the recent weekend from the SmackDown brand: Finlay defeated Kenny Dykstra in a Dark match at the 01/08/2008 SmackDown tapings. Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins defeated Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore on 01/12/2008 at a WWE House Show.
