Blooooooody hellllllll!!! What a free kick!! Straight into the top left hand corner - david james had no chance....Graeme Souness, Fergie & Jamie Redknapp reckon thats the best free kick they have ever seen...what you lot think, personally im saying it now - Christiano Ronaldo for Fifa player of the year 2008!!!

He shoulda won it last year, KAKA & MESSI are nowhere near as consistant. That Free-kick apart from Beckham's against Greece was the best in history. I'm so happy to be a United fan.

Roberto Carlos > That. Not wanting to be the Anti-Christ here but he hit it, with force and it had a dip. not a curler or a 30 Yard screamer by all means, But it was still impressive. Makes me wonder if all this malarky of posisioning the ball ect so the wind tractery stuff is right and makes it dip is true

He hits it so the ball gets topspin, which takes it over the wall, then the bell lecvels out and does not spin at all and simply travels in a straight line. No idea how he can make the ball change what it does half way through flight.

I've watched the video a few times now and I'm still not that impressed, any free kick that goes directly in is great, but I've seen better.

Being a supporter of the club the man plays for has nothing to do with it. Im a Tottenham & Norwich City supporter, and even I thought that goal was impressive. I dislike Ronaldo, for being too cocky, but still, that goal was crazy good

Shunsuki Nakamura > Christiano Ronaldo at Freekicks.
Was a fantastic goal though, and thought it was interesting how he put os body weight forward when hitting it. Gave him the dip on the ball.
