Apparently West Ham might be after Eidur Gudjohnsen again, as well as Alan Smith.

Beattie was only half-decent at Southampton... Piece of crap at Everton. i coulda told ya that... i honestly think we should snatch there hand off to sell him...he's had loads of chances to prove he's the striker that we bought him for, and failed each time... sheffield utd are also willing to make him the highest paid player in the championship to make the step down...

Manchester City are understood to have agreed a deal for Vedran Corluka.
According to reports in Croatia, the 6ft 3in defender is poised to join City from Dinamo Zagreb for a fee in the region of 13million euros (£8.7million).
Corluka, who played for Croatia when they defeated England in a Euro 2008 qualifier, would also need to be granted a work permit before a transfer could be finalised.
"Dinamo get 13 million euros, while Corluka will be paid 15 million euros for his five-year-long contract," Dinamo vice-president Zdravko Mamic told 24sata.hr.
Sven Goran Eriksson has been working hard to strengthen his squad since being appointed as City boss and has already brought in four new faces in Martin Petrov, Rolando Bianchi, Gelson Fernandes and Geovanni.
The Swede's efforts to sign a defender were thwarted when Juventus rejected an offer for Giorgio Chiellini, but he has now turned his focus elsewhere.
As well as Corluka, Eriksson is also closing in on Real Sociedad left-back Javi Garrido.
City are also reported to have agreed a deal for Fiorentina striker Valeri Bojinov.

Newcastle United midfielder Kieron Dyer is holding talks with West Ham United.
The England international has been given permission to discuss a move to Upton Park after the Premier League clubs agreed an undisclosed fee.
Reports had claimed that The Hammers were preparing a £4million offer for the former Ipswich Town starlet.
But Magpies boss Sam Allardyce revealed such a figure was 'too low' and that he would not allow Dyer to leave on the cheap.
Dyer is looking to leave St James' Park due to family reasons and Allardyce is happy to let him go for the right price.
The 28-year-old is now travelling south in order to negotiate personal terms over a move to Alan Curbishley's men.
If Dyer accepts a deal with The Hammers, he would be reunited with former Newcastle team-mates Lee Bowyer, Craig Bellamy and Scott Parker.
Bowyer, who had an infamous on-pitch bust-up with Dyer, has admitted he would welcome his old colleague into the West Ham squad.

I'm just begging we don't join the race for him, one of the most overrated players ever.

Noel Gallagher summed it up well on Soccer AM - Barton's better than most of the Man City team, especially the new signings, and so they deserved a kick up the arse!

Fiorentina hitman Valeri Bojinov is set to complete his move to Manchester City subject to a medical. Manchester City continue on their spending spree as Sven-Goran Eriksson looks set to add another Bulgarian to his squad. Fiorentina stiker Valeri Bojinov flew to Manchester today for a medical after a fee of £5.7million was agreed between the two clubs. The 21-year-old has reportedly agreed terms on a four-year deal and is looking forward to teaming up with international teammate Martin Petrov who moved to City from Atletico Madrid last week. "I would like to thank manager (Sven-Goran) Eriksson for making this move possible," said Bojinov. "I'm very pleased that I'll have the chance to play alongside Martin (Petrov), as we did it in the national team. I've already talked to him several times." The Right TimeBojinov became the youngest non-Italian to play in Serie A when he made his debut for Lecce aged just 15 years and 11 months. He quickly established himself as a regular for both club and country. The Bulgarian international has won 11 senior caps - scoring twice. At the age of just 18, Bojinov moved to Fiorentina from Lecce in January 2005 in a £9million deal and quickly formed an explosive partnership with fellow striker Luca Toni. But he was farmed out to Juventus on loan last season and when they turned down an option to buy him, Bojinov found himself frozen out back in Florence. "I want to also thank the fans at Lecce, Fiorentina and Juventus," added Bojinov. "I spent eight years in Italy and I think it's the right time to change country." www.premierleague.com
