Hey,
For those that saw Raw last night, I'm sure you would agree with me that all this stuff with Mickey Rourke and WWE isn't over.
I mean, when Jericho was in the ring with Flair, he dropped Mickey Rourke's name a bunch of times and also his movie, The Wrestler.
Then, they also showed a picture of Flair with Rourke on the red carpet.
Then, they even showed a video package of Mickey Rourke winning the best actor award at the British Academy Film Awards.
All this name dropping and publicity can only mean one thing and that is an eventual participation in the WWE with Mickey Rourke.
We've all read or heard that Mickey Rourke has apparently turned down his WrestleMania 25 match/appearance.
Well, if that were the case and that was like 2 or 3 weeks ago, then why the hell do they keep mentioning his name and showing clips of him winning awards on WWE television??
What purpose would that serve if he turned WWE down weeks ago??
If his deal with the WWE was a dead issue, then why do they keep promoting the guy??
It's all a swerve and Mickey Rourke will definitely have a match at WrestleMania. I don't care what anyone says.
What do you all think??

I think WWE is going with the route of guilt trip, they give all this publicity to him, and he turns htem down, and WWE is trying to get him to change his mind. Also, WWE has already used his name, so even if he turns it down, they might as well keep using it, and that way, it's still godd if h changes his mind again

And by that, I mean, having Rourke appear at some point. I mean, if they keep mentioning his name and showing clips and pictures, the fans are going to expect him to appear at some point and when WWE fails to deliver, then they are ultimately left looking stupid with egg on their face. If WWE can somehow change his mind, which I even doubt is the problem from the start because I think this has all been a swerve, then great. If not, then they should stop promoting him if he isn't going to appear. They are only wasting their time by doing so.

I think they're trying to play the fact that all the legends really respect Rourke for the movie aswell, and add a new reason why the legends are pissed at Jericho.
I'm not arguing with you, I agree it's stupid, I'm just speculating

I think they are just covering their bases...flair is a definate, Rourke is a maybe. But I think Rourke is Plan A. So they need to make sure they have a match at WM. Looks cool, think its kinda bullsh*tty that flair is already back in the wwe for a feud within a year of his 'retirement' tho. But I guess u gotta pay the bills!

They are going to put Flair in the role of Rourke in the film in my opinion. Make it appear that he's washed up and can't go in the ring and he'll get in there with Jericho at Wrestlemania.

It is blatantly obvious that Rourke will be working wrestlemania, but the bigger question on my mind is....am i the only person who doesn't want Mickey Rourke at wrestlemania?
I really couldn't give a monkeys fart whether he's there or not and i don't understand why people are licking the guys backside.

I think Rourke will be there, thats it.
he has said in interviews that his publicist thought it was a bad idea to wrestle jericho because it would hurt his chances at winning an oscar.
I think he will be a guest and thats it

That would make Flair's retirement last year seem like a waste. It was bound to happen though givin the fact that he's been back three times since then. The best thing would be Rourke/w Flair vs Jericho.

^^^No the best thing would be for both Flair and Rourke to be nowhere near a WWE ring. Rourke is not a wrestler and Flair is just a stupid old fart.
Jericho is the one who is suffering here i'm afraid.

it really saddens me that flair wouldn't have stayed in his retirement.

We'll find out Feb. 23rd if Rourke really is going to be at WM. He wouldn't be caught dead on WWE television prior to the Oscars.
Personally, I think WWE is doing all of this to further convince Mickey to do WM25, but are keeping Ric on the back burner just in case.

I think everyone is trying to wait until the Oscars are over and done with. He doesn't any WWE participating to affect his chances of winning. Once it's done (win or lose) . he'll show up..

I'd say Rourke will be in the crowd, Flair will be in Austin's corner.

tbh , this "The Wrestler" Rourke vs Jericho angle is pretty boring. WWE Creative`s are not using Jericho as they could.

I think that this is leading to something at Mania but I don't know if it is a match.
Either way Wm is after the Oscars so I don't see how Rourke should be afraid that this involvement will affect his chances of winning the oscar when he will have won or lost before Mania happened.
If he wins or loses at the oscars I think that he should still do something with wm because he seems like he wants to because the wwe was so good to him.

Rourke will be there no doubt, but it'd probably be a risk to announce it now, I'd like to see him wrestle because I think he's someone who'd be capable of not making it a complete botch match. But he'll most likely just make an appearance.
