He had in-ring ability. Watch the program he did with Kidman. The lack of push killed him. The other stuff about him contributed to it I'm sure. There was a movie made about him in which Norman Smiley said with all the bridges he's burned that it's amazing he's still able to make money in this business. I'm not saying he couldn't wrestle but personally I found him very hit & miss, either quality or very sloppy. I see what you mean. He worked a hardcore match with Mike Awesome that fits the sloppy bill. If I had watched him every week on Nitro I'd be able to say the same I suppose. What I've seen though, I liked. The New Blood angle was poorly done overall.

vampiro is a pretty self-destructive fellow. i know i wouldn't want to put considerable effort into him if i had a promotion. still, he was over as hell and wcw did atleast try to put him over. he's a great wrestler..a lot of his best work lies in mexico He was doing fine until The Russo-Bischoff administrations storyline when they had the Brothers In Paint and then ruined it. His match with Sting at Slamboree was pretty good, but the Human Torch match wasn't that good, I blame Russo for the horrible booking.

That's not saying too much. Meanwhile the announce team always put him over & then he promptly jobbed out
