Impact - March 2009/April 2009
On the weeks following Destination X hatred consumed all and nobody was safe. Jeff Jarrett was forced to be on crutches for a few weeks thanks to Kurt Angle’s attack at Destination X. However Jarrett promised that once his ankle healed Angle had better watch his back. After a few weeks of insults back and forth Jarrett confronted Angle in the ring. Kurt was about to attack him when Jarrett turned it around and hit Angle with his crutches forcing Angle to flee. Jarrett then announced that his ankle was healed and at Lockdown he and Angle would go one on one. Kurt wasn’t the only member of the Main Event Mafia having problems Sting had a big target on his head. After Destination X Mick Foley made it his mission to get Sting in the ring and beat the hell out of him. Foley tried attacking Sting every week but it was no use and Sting got away each time with the help of Nash, Booker, & Steiner. Finally Sting had enough and said if Foley wants him that bad why they don’t go at it at Lockdown for the World Title. At this time Samoa Joe was now targeting Kevin Nash but Booker T & Scott Steiner kept getting in the way. Samoa Joe got help from Rhino but the two could only do so much. The Frontline then had a meeting and Styles, Joe, Rhino & Foley all agreed it was time to take the whole Mafia out once and for all. Sting vs. Foley turned into a Lethal Lockdown match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship and the TNA Legend Championship to unify the belts. AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Rhino, & Mick Foley takes on Sting, Kevin Nash, Booker T, & Scott Steiner. Whoever gets the pinfall or submission to win the match wherever it is Frontline member or MEM member they will be the TNA World Champion, so if Booker T wins the match for his team then he will also win Stings World Title. This caused the MEM to begin breaking down from the inside as Sting couldn’t trust any of them. During all this they even had a huge brawl which Kurt Angle had to try and stop. The Frontline seemed to have everything going their way until tensions rose on their team. All four men wanted to be the one to defeat the Mafia and become the World Champion. Both teams broke down a chaotic brawl between not both teams but all eight men against each other a few days before Lockdown. With every man for himself which team is going to reign supreme over TNA?
After losing his X-Division Title to Suicide at Destination X, Alex Shelley was on the hunt for Suicide. Ever week he travelled all over the Impact Zone looking for the masked champion. Shelley finally found him one week getting ready to jump from the rafters but before he could do anything a blinding light shot right into his eyes and the camera. When the light moved on Suicide had disappeared. Following a win over Consequences Creed, Shelley had enough and ordered Suicide to show up right now. The lights flickered and Suicide came down from the rafters. Instead of attacking the former champion Suicide stood in the ring holding the X-Division Title in front of Shelley. Alex said that Suicide is a nobody he hasn’t even had a “wrestling” match. Shelley ordered that Suicide face him at Lockdown and put the X-Division Title on the line. Suicide seemed to think about it before nodding his head in agreement. Shelley was happy and went for a sneak attack on Suicide but the lights went out and when they came back on Suicide was gone. For the next couple of weeks The Motor City Machine Guns were stalked by Suicide who they would see in crowds, in mirrors, etc only when they look again he is gone. A few days before Lockdown Sabin faces Lethal Consequences alone and Suicide shows up mid match and takes out all three men. Suddenly Alex Shelley comes up from under the ring and attacks Suicide obviously planning this attack from the start. He beats down on Suicide and then hits him with the X-Division Title. Shelley holds the belt in the air before laying it across Suicide’s body that disappears a few seconds later when the lights go off.
Also announced that night is an X-Divison Xscape match with the winner becoming the next #1 Contender for the X-Divison Title and will face the champion at Sacrifice. Chris Sabin vs. Jay Lethal vs. Consequences Creed vs. Eric Young vs. Sheik Abdul Bashir vs. Kiyoshi.
Beer Money Inc. fresh off a great win over Team 3D began targeting more people however nobody wanted to accept their challenge because they were scared to lose their job. Beer Money Inc. took matters into their own hands and began attacking random unnamed wrestlers every week. Finally the Latin American Xchange had enough and put a stop to their attacks. They then said that they want to beat their Off the Wagon challenge again and this time they will win the TNA World Tag Team Titles. Beer Money Inc. wasn’t so sure at first but then decided to accept only this time if they lose then both men are fired from TNA instead of one. Over the next few weeks Beer Money Inc. made fun of Latinos and taunted LAX. Every time LAX tried to stop them Beer Money would just run scared however at Lockdown there will be no running as they will be locked inside the Six Sides of Steel.
ODB did not seem to enjoy her night with Sarah Stock and said that she even tried to kiss her at the end of it. ODB was glad to have it over with but then she began getting flowers and chocolates from Sarah that said how much she loved her. ODB was a bit freaked out and just threw the stuff away. ODB then got mysterious phone calls from someone who would hang up after a few seconds without saying a word. ODB had enough and on Impact said that whoever is doing it all to stop before she presses charges. Sarah Stock showed up and said that she thought she liked her. ODB says she isn’t gay and does not feel that way about her. Sarah Stock doesn’t like her response and begins to attack ODB. ODB has now challenged Stock to a match at Lockdown but Stock has refused saying she doesn’t want to hurt the person she loves despite hurting just a week prior. ODB is now going to try and force Stock to fight her over the next few weeks after Lockdown.
Sojourner Bolt wanted revenge on Awesome Kong for Destination X but would not be given the chance. During this The Beautiful People and Madison Rayne continued to feud with Taylor Wilde, Roxxi and The Governor. Finally The Governor went to Jim Cornette and requested a match against the Beautiful People. Cornette thought about it and decided that at Lockdown we would see the first Female Lethal Lockdown match. It would be Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, Madison Rayne, & Awesome Kong vs. Sojourner Bolt, Taylor Wilde, Roxxi, & The Governor. Everyone seemed pleased with the match and so it was on.
Also Matt Morgan found an ally in Brutus Magnus and the two began beating up Abyss. Abyss tried his best was not able to fight off the two men. Finally with help from a barb wire 2X4 Abyss scared off Morgan and proceeded to hit Brutus Magnus with the weapon before delivering a Black Hole Slam. Abyss then challenged Matt Morgan and Brutus Magnus to a match at Lockdown. Morgan accepted but laughed since he knew Abyss would not find someone to be his tag team partner. Can Abyss find someone to help him and get revenge on Matt Morgan & Brutus Magnus?
Brother Devon shocked everyone at Destination X when he turned on Brother Ray allowing Beer Money Inc. to pin him and force Ray to be fired from TNA. Devon came out on Impact and said that what he did to Ray he should have done a long time ago. For years they were one of the greatest tag teams in wrestling history however Devon was always overlooked. He could have become a huge star by now but Ray was holding him back. He was nothing but a fat slob that took all the credit. Without Devon, Ray would have been nothing. At Destination X he decided it was time to become that big star he should have been years ago and if Brother Ray was still here in TNA he would never have been able to accomplish anything. Devon announces an open challenge at Lockdown to face him in a match. He says at Lockdown his path to the top of TNA begins!

(Don't worry the rest of the diary will look a lot neater than this.) Single Match – Brother Devon vs. ?Shane Sewell accepted Devon's open challenge. Devon laughed at the thought of Shane doing any damage to him and went easy on him to begin with. Sewell however fought back and caught Devon off guard a few times. Finally Devon had enough as beat down on Sewell before lifting him up and hitting a falling reverse DDT, 1...2...3!Devon def. Shane SewellLethal Lockdown – Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, Madison Rayne, & Awesome Kong vs. Sojourner Bolt, Taylor Wilde, Roxxi, & the GovernorBack and forth match with the heels using Awesome Kong to just rampage through the rest. The Governor did well for her first match in TNA and almost got the win on Velvet Sky. In the end with everyone down Taylor Wilde came in and hit a German Suplex with a bridge on Angelina Love, 1...2...3!Wilde, Roxxi, Bolt, & Governor def. Love, Velvet, Rayne, & Kong when Wilde pinned Angelina LoveTag Team Match – Matt Morgan & Brutus Magnus vs. Abyss & ?Dr. Stevie came out as the mystery partner to help Abyss. Morgan & Magnus used their power to throw Stevie about until Abyss came in and took down both men. In the end Magnus got knocked down leaving Morgan alone. Dr. Stevie hit a Superkick forcing Morgan to turn around right into a Black Hole Slam on thousands of thumbtacks laying on the floor, 1...2...3!Abyss & Dr. Stevie def. Morgan & Magnus by pinfall with a Black Hole Slam on MorganXscape Match – TNA X-Divison #1 Contender Chris Sabin vs. Jay Lethal vs. Consequences Creed vs. Eric Young vs. Sheik Abdul Bashir vs. KiyoshiA good X-Division match. Kiyoshi was eliminated first by Chris Sabin. Eric Young went next by Jay Lethal. Consequences Creed got eliminated after Lethal hit him by mistake and Bashir rolled him up. Bashir & Sabin tried eliminating Lethal but he fought back and was able to eliminate Bashir. This left Sabin & Lethal to try and escape the cage. After a lot of struggling Sabin dropped to the floor just a split second before Lethal giving him the win!Chris Sabin def. Lethal, Creed, Young, Bashir, & KiyoshiSingle Match – TNA X-Divison Championship Suicide(C) vs. Alex ShelleyA good quick paced match between these two. Suicide is getting really over. Shelley got frustrated many times over being unable to get the win. In the end Shelley seemed to have it won as Chris Sabin ran down and grabbed the X-Division Title. He climbed up the side of the cage while Shelley climbed up the other. Sabin was about to hand him the belt when Suicide jumped up onto the top rope and slammed Shelley off with a hurricarana. Suicide then finished Shelley off with the DOA, 1...2...3! Suicide def. Alex Shelley by pinfall with the DOA to retain the TNA X-Division ChampionshipTag Team Match – TNA World Tag Team Championships Beer Money Inc(C) vs. LAXA good match between these two teams. Beer Money Inc tried everything they could to defeat LAX and retain the belts but it was no use. Hernandez hit his Border Toss on Roode while Homicide had Storm in dispose, 1...2...3!LAX def. Beer Money Inc to become the New TNA World Tag Team ChampionsSingle Match – Kurt Angle vs. Jeff JarrettA great match for Jarrett and Angle's final meeting. Both men went at it hard from the beginning with stiff shots. Neither man would back down and it seemed like neither man could beat the other. However in the end Angle reversed The Stroke into an Angle Slam but Jarrett kicked out. Jarrett fought back and went for another Stroke only this time Angle rolled forward with Jarrett and ended up locking in the Ankle Lock. Jarrett was in a large amount of pain and tried fighting it but couldn't. Jeff Jarrett was forced to tap out!Kurt Angle def. Jeff Jarrett by submission with the Ankle LockAfter the match Jarrett put out his hand to shake Kurt's as he beat him fair and square. However Angle spat right in Jarrett face before delivering another Angle Slam. Lethal Lockdown – TNA World Heavyweight Championship/TNA Legend Championship Unification AJ Styles(C), Samoa Joe, Rhino & Mick Foley vs. Sting(C), Kevin Nash, Booker T, & Scott SteinerThe main event was a great one. Both teams just had all out brawls it was back and forth. Even team mates had a few punch ups after some bad communication. Mick Foley took a large bump near the end as Sting tossed him off the top of the cage. Foley flew off and went straight through the announcers table at ringside. Foley was then taken away on a stretcher. The Main Event Mafia seemed to be too much for The Frontline as the end drew nearer. In the end Sting was in full control as the rest of the people in the match were taken out. This was Sting's chance to get the win and retain his title. He picked up AJ Styles and was about to hit the Scorpion Death Drop when the lights in the arena went off. When they came back on standing behind Sting was none other than Christopher Daniels. Sting turned around and walked right into Daniels who delivered the Angels Wings before getting Styles to deliver the Styles Clash on Sting. AJ then pinned while everyone was down, 1....2...3!The Frontline def. the Main Event Mafia when AJ Styles pinned Sting following interference from Christopher Daniels. AJ Styles becomes the New TNA World Heavyweight Champion and retains the TNA Legend ChampionshipAfter the match AJ Styles celebrated his victory as the rest of the Frontline held him up on their shoulders. The Main Event Mafia walked off to the back while Sting stood outside the ring looking in before clapping a few times for AJ and then leaving. More members of the Frontline comes out from backstage as the celebration continues as TNA Lockdown comes to an end!

You are a god for bringing in the "Dark Angel". I'm scared TNA will book her all wrong, but she can carry the Knockouts division in my opinion. Plus, giving AJ the Legends Title is awesome. Only thing I didn't like was Shelley dropping the X Division Title.

The story of what happens on Impact between Destination X & Lockdown has been posted. Lockdown should be posted in a few hours it will probably be short results like Destination X and then after that my diary will officially begin.

Looking forward to reading this, tbh. Didn't like Shelley losing the X-Division title, but hey, it has to happen sometime. Anyway, I'll leave a much better reply once you get the first shows going.

I enjoyed reading the Impact! background leading in to Lockdown. Alex Shelley vs Suicide should be a fantastic match seeing as it is basically Alex Shelley vs Christopher Daniels. I do hope Suicide retains the X-Division Championship, quite happy that you made him the champion. Yeah, it's a shame that Shelley got a short reign but ah well. Angle/Jarrett III is shaping up well, guessing this will be their final encounter will be will a good thing really to end the feud. Sting/Foley won't be theh most technical match but I definitely think it will be entertaining none the less, doubt Foley will win the Championship and I don't really want him to either, wouldn't do much for the company. D-Von's heel turn is original and has played out well, like I said on msn, I can't really see it going far because I don't see people getting in to D-Von. After a few months I see him falling down to Kip James level, which would be a shame. Looking forward to seeing Lockdown.

Eurgh, not a good opening contest to open up TNA LockDown 2009. I hate Brother Devon fighting as a singles competitor, and open challenges on pay-per-view events bug me. Shane Sewell is not a good performer whatsoever, and so I fail to see a purpose of this match if the challenger doesn't win on pay-per-view. Lethal Lockdown with the Knockouts is intriguing. I actually sort of like that. The babyfaces winning is fine, nothing really important however. Eurgh, Abyss and Dr Stevie beating Matt Morgan and Brutus Magnus is fine, I suppose. Chris Sabin winning the Xscape match is okay, but really wish you'd let somebody else have the spotlight position like Kiyoshi. Suicide is a god-awful character and a bad TNA X-Division Champion in my opinion, I feel sorry for Alex Shelley. LAX beating Beer Money to win the TNA World Tag Team Championships is fine. Kurt Angle beating Jeff Jarrett is fine, but useless since they fought at TNA Genesis, which should of ended that feud, say three months ago. AJ Styles winning the TNA World Heavyweight Championship is interesting and thank god the TNA Lregends Championship is gone.

Thursday, Week 1, May 2009TNA Impact starts up with the TNA World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles in the ring. Styles says at Lockdown he went into Lethal Lockdown with one main goal and that was to put an end to the Main Event Mafia and have the Frontline come out on top. In the end not only was the Main Event Mafia defeated but he walked out with the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Sting, Angle & Booker T interrupt saying that they aren’t finished yet. The Mafia isn’t through with TNA just yet. Angle tells Styles that at Sacrifice he will defend the World Title against him. Sting and Booker T don’t like that idea as they step in. Sting says he never officially lost the belt at Lockdown since Style’s friend Christopher Daniels got involved. If anyone faces Styles it will be him getting his rematch. Booker T speaks up and goes all gangster on both of them. Nobody has any clue what he is saying but the general idea is he wants to face AJ Styles. They are interrupted this time by Christopher Daniels who says at Lockdown he put a stop to the Main Event Mafia, not AJ Styles. Daniels said he came back to TNA to save the company he helped build since he was the only one that could get it done. He said it has been falling down every week and now that he is here the fans can expect to see the best of TNA starting at Sacrifice when he defeats AJ Styles and becomes the new TNA World Champion. Jim Cornette comes out from the back and says this argument can end right now since it’s not up to any of them who Styles defends his title against its up to him. He has decided since everyone seems to have a good reason why they should get a title shot he is making a little tournament over the next few weeks with the winner facing AJ Styles at Sacrifice for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. He then brings up a graphic with 8 spots. Suddenly names fly all over the screen before being placed in the brackets. On the bottom which has next week’s Impact date on them is Matt Morgan vs. Abyss and Christopher Daniels vs. Rhino. On the top for this week’s matches is Samoa Joe vs. Booker T and none other than Sting vs. Kurt Angle. Angle & Sting stare at each other as they will face off once again. Jim Cornette wishes them all luck as everyone clears the ring! Single Match – Chris Sabin vs. KiyoshiA very good fast paced match between these two men. The crowd was very into it and supported both men. Kiyoshi got in a good amount of offense and the match was very back and forth. In the end though it was Chris Sabin who thanks to a distraction from Alex Shelley was able to lift up Kiyoshi and delivered the Cradle Shock, 1…2…3! Chris Sabin def. Kiyoshi by pinfall with the Cradle Shock After the match Alex Shelley gets into the ring and asks Chris Sabin if he can have his title shot against Suicide at Sacrifice. Sabin has no idea what to say. Shelley explains that Suicide took his title from him and he can’t let him do that. He says that he knows he can beat Suicide if he can have his title shot. Sabin isn’t sure as he wants to win the belt but he also wants to help his best friend. Sabin thinks about it until Shelley finally says its ok he can think about it or a while and give him his decision in a couple of weeks. Shelley says that he promises though that he can bring the X-Division Title back to the Motor City. Shelley leaves Sabin in the ring alone and Sabin looks up to the roof and sees none other than Suicide standing up on the rafters holding the TNA X-Division Championship. Suicide puts two fingers to his head like a gun and shoots before disappearing into darkness! The cameras go backstage into Jim Cornette’s office where Beer Money Inc. come barging through the door. Beer Money tells Cornette that at Lockdown they were the better team and should not have lost. They demand that they get a rematch against LAX at Sacrifice. Cornette says he looked at their contracts and neither man has a rematch clause meaning he doesn’t have to give them anything. Lethal Consequences come into the office and quickly tell Cornette to give them the title shot at Sacrifice. Beer Money lost the match at Lockdown meaning they go back to the end of the line and let someone else move up. Cornette agrees with that however since they also lost at Lockdown it seems both teams are about even. So next week on Impact Beer Money Inc. will take on Lethal Consequences with the winning team facing LAX at Sacrifice! Single Match – Madison Rayne vs. Taylor WildeThis was an alright knockout match. Madison had The Beautiful People in her corner and Wilde had Roxxi & The Governor. After some back and forth fighting Madison Rayne began to throw Taylor Wilde around the ring. Madison seemed in full control as she beat down on Wilde. Later on though, after a failed attempt by the Beautiful People to attack Wilde, she began to fight back. She took down Madison and beat down on her with some punches. However it was all for nothing as The Beautiful People began fighting with Roxxi & The Governor at ringside which distracted Wilde enough for Madison to get a quick roll up, 1…2…3!Madison Rayne def. Taylor Wilde After the match The Beautiful People got in the ring and stood by Madison while Roxxi and The Governor got in and stood by Taylor. Both teams of girls began shouting abuse at the other until Awesome Kong came down to the ring. Awesome Kong got in and began clearing the ring of Taylor Wilde, Roxxi and the Governor. The Beautiful People laughed until Kong turned it around and took out them as well. Sojourner Bolt and Rhaka Khan tried to stop Kong but got taken out as well. Kong stood over the rest of the Knockouts and held up the Knockout Championship as Raisha Saeed got on the microphone. Saeed told all the Knockouts that Awesome Kong is tired of playing around with them all and starting next week she will defend her TNA Knockout Championship every week against any challenger! Matt Morgan is seen walking up to Lauren backstage and puts his arm around her. He says that at Lockdown he and Brutus Magnus did lose to Abyss and Stevie Richards however they are not through with Abyss yet. They say that next week on Impact Morgan will advance in the TNA World Title Tournament and at the same time he will put an end to Abyss. Morgan then says that this time he won’t have any friends or doctors to call and help him. The camera moves to the side where Brutus Magnus is seen holding a bloody and battered Stevie Richards. Magnus then holds him up on his feet as Morgan charges in with a Big Boot. Magnus & Morgan walk away leaving Richards knocked out on the floor! After a commercial break the camera goes backstage to the Main Event Mafia. Kurt Angle, Sting, Booker T & Kevin Nash are standing around arguing with each other. Sting says that from day one the whole Mafia was all about Kurt Angle and when Sting took the limelight from him he couldn’t take it that’s why he tried to stop him every single month. He says the reason the Mafia is near death is because of him. Angle says that the reason he was in the limelight is because he helped get this group started. Without him there would be no Main Event Mafia. Angle said that Sting wasn’t a worthy champion and was the weak link in the team. He tells Sting he should have stayed retired because he just has not got it anymore. Booker T speaks up, speaking gangster again, and says that it was both of them that caused trouble in the Mafia. The group was designed for us legends to be respected but both of them turned it into an ego trip where they wanted to rule this company. Booker T says he was Legends Champion yet none of them gave him any respect. He is a 6 time World Champion and just as good if not better then both of them. Kevin Nash tries breaking the three up but they won’t listen. Nash finally says if they want to kill each other that’s fine. At the end of the day the Main Event Mafia is finished, I Quit. Nash walks off leaving the other three continuing to argue with each other! Single Match – TNA World Heavyweight Title Tournament Booker T vs. Samoa Joe A good back and forth match. Samoa Joe went insane when the bell rang and just beat down on Booker T. Finally Joe slowed down and Booker T was able to fight back. He tried to stay away from Joe and pick his spots carefully before trying to get him down and keep him down. Joe used his quickness and power to just try and hurt Booker T anyway he could. In the end of the match Booker T grabbed Joe’s blade from ringside and threatened Joe with it if he didn’t lay down for him. Samoa Joe didn’t look happy as he got down on one knee. Booker T laughed at Joe doing what he says when suddenly Joe grabbed Booker T and flipped him over onto his back so quick Booker T couldn’t even think about doing something. Samoa Joe tossed his blade to the side before pummeling Booker T with stiff strikes with his hands and feet. Samoa Joe then locked in the Coquina Clutch and forced Booker T to tap out!Samoa Joe def. Booker T by submission with the Coquina Clutch After the match Samoa Joe gets on the microphone and says that punishment and pain will come to all that stand in his way. He says that he advances in this tournament and will now move on to defeat everyone. He then warns AJ Styles by shouting Joe is Gonna Kill You and holding his big blade up to the camera! ODB comes out to the ring and challenges Sarah Stock to a match at Sacrifice. Stock comes out and asks her why she wants to hurt her when she loves her. ODB says she was never in love with her, it was one night. Sarah Stock doesn’t like these words but refuses to have a match with her and instead smashes the microphone into ODB’s skull knocking her out in the middle of the ring. Stock then kneels down and tends to her to make sure she is alright before giving her a big kiss on the lips and leaving ODB laid out in the middle of the ring! Single Match – TNA World Heavyweight Title Tournament Sting vs. Kurt AngleThis match was kept quite short which disappointed a few people although some was glad since they have faced one on one so much over the past few months. It was back and forth early on with both men just doing simple moves. Then Angle began getting intense as he hit Sting with some hard shots. Angle then went to work on Sting’s ankle as he began stomping on it. Sting tried fighting back but his ankle hurt too much forcing him to move on one leg. This allowed Angle to fight back and take down Sting again. Later on Sting finally came back and was able to take down Angle. He beat down on Angle and was about to end the match when Booker T ran down to the ring with a steel chair. He slid into the ring and smashed it across the face of Sting and then followed with a shot to Kurt Angle. The referee rang the bell making it a No Contest!Kurt Angle vs. Sting ended in a No Contest following interference from Booker T After the match Booker T continued his assault on both men but they also both fought back. It turned into a wild three way brawl between the three previous Main Event Mafia members. Security, backstage workers and members of the TNA Roster all run down to the ring to try and break it apart. A few times Booker T and Angle escaped their grasp and went back on the attack but were then restrained shortly after. The Main Event Mafia had fallen apart in one chaotic brawl as TNA Impact comes to an end!

Pretty decent opening promo to start off TNA iMPACT, it was written pretty well with controversy regarding the TNA World Heavyweight Championship with AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels and everybody. I like the idea of an eight-man tournament to set up a new number one contender to the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Chris Sabin beating Kiyoshi is fine, seemed slightly entertaining in a match style. Haven't really seen Madison Rayne before but I'm just pleased she beat Taylor Wilde. Yeah, realistic to have a lot of promos eh. Pretty good match between Booker T and Samoa Joe, but really I wish that would of been TNA iMPACT main event worthy. I feel Sting and Kurt Angle should of been saved for next week's main event.

Saturday, Week 1, May 2009
Thursday's TNA Impact received a 1.4 rating on Spike TV. This is an increase from TNA's usual 1.2-1.3 they have been getting the last couple of months and is the highest rated TNA Impact so far. This must be a big confidence boost for TNA.
TNA are now moving forward with the younger guys which is the reason Styles is World Champion. They will be focusing a lot more on the X-Division and over time the company is hoping to bring in the TNA that all the fans have been dying for these past couple of years.
Kevin Nash has announced that he is retiring from in ring action. This was his last run as a wrestler and he said he was happy with how it went down and with the Frontline taking back control of TNA in the end. He says he will still be in TNA and go back to doing behind the scene stuff and said he wouldn't mind working with the X-Division again as he enjoyed it the last time. He did drop a hint however that he may be needed at Sacrifice to try and keep the peace between his former Mafia brothers.
On news about another Mafia member, Scott Steiner. It seems he is having some minor surgery done on his back which has been causing him problems. Some are trying to convince Steiner to retire like Nash and Steiner has really started to consider it now but still isnt sure. There is a chance he could come back for one final feud and match before retiring for good. It seems some in TNA have been talking about trying to put him in another non wrestling role.
Another retirement possibility is Brother Devon who was absent from this weeks show. It seems Devon is also having some pain and so TNA decided to give him some time off. This comes as a bad time for Devon as he was getting ready for his singles push however he knew deep down he was in too much pain. Brother Ray has apparently tried talking him into retiring with him but Devon still wants his single run. TNA may have to watch out now with a lot of the roster beginning to feel the effects of wrestling because of their age. People including Kurt Angle, Sting, Rhino, and even Sharkboy are all in the same situation as Devon and Scott Steiner. It seems TNA will have to continue making some new stars quick to join in with Daniels, Styles and Joe or their roster will end up very small.
Former WWE employee Elijah Burke has been contacted by TNA to join them. Burke was released from WWE last November and has been wrestling a couple of dates in a few independent promotions. Burke has stated in an interview before that if he was contacted by TNA to join there was a high possibility he would sign so you could expect to see Elijah Burke debut in TNA by the end of the month.

-lol at nobody knowning what Booker said -tournament sounds good -Sabin winning is fine with me -I really hope MCMG don't break up. The thing with Sucide was cool though -Glad Rayne won as she's pretty underrated in the ring -Kong being the dominant Knockout is always good -Nash quitting is cool -Joe winning is fine, glad he advanced -Lesbian Sarah Stock? You are a god, she's gorgeous -I wonder what will happen now that the match went to a no contest
Great first iMPACT, saw some things I liked. What I didn't like was the large amount of detail. But great show nonetheless
