Over the past year, John Cena has been very vocal about his feelings towards Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and how he’s turned his back on the wrestling industry. Cena has called The Rock out on several occasions, saying The Rock has gone back on his word that he’d always remember the fans who made him a star. Now, Cena wants to settle their score in the ring.
In an interview with MTV, Cena said he wants to wrestle The Rock Dwayne Johnson at WrestleMania 26 for a one-night-only showdown of action stars. “I’ve been trying to wrestle him,” Cena told MTV’s Josh Horowitz. “It’s not that he won’t accept the challenge. He truly has a full plate.”
Cena then set a date for the possible showdown and revealed that he’s not even that confident that he could beat the Great One. “What a better showdown .. Dwayne Johnson, or The Rock, or whatever he wants to be called .. versus John Cena at, let’s say, WrestleMania 26. I’m not even saying I’m going to win. He’s a hell of an athlete. God-given ability. One of the nicest people ever to grace a WWE ring. I’d just like to get him back for a night.”

When will people understand that it will never happen? He even said there is no more Rock. Only Dwayne Johnson.

That would probably be the most hyped match of all time, if it would happen...... Which it wont.

I can respect Cena's passion.. for lack of a better term... but he's truly making himself look like a "mark". It'd be like me being a top performer for WWE, and every chance I get I voice my support of ROH and name-drop the wrestlers I think WWE should bring in.
It's good to feel strongly about the past or present in the field your in, but you'll sound like a broken record if you repeat the same sentiment over and over. Common sense, right?
As for the match, I think it'd make The Rock look desperate for a paycheck and I have no doubt that is not the case.
From an in-ring performance / fan-observer perspective, I'd love to see this match if The Rock is cooking on all cylinders and can pull off a classic match with Cena who really can perform.

I'd love to see it but it won't happen at the very least until Rock goes into the HOF. Even then it probably won't happen.

I there was ever a time for The Rock to come back, it's the same as Austin; it would have to be now for WM 25.
I was at last years Hall of Fame and when Rock spoke about he guys he never had a chance to face my friends and I all really thought that WWE would've tried to get Rock to face Cena or Michaels or some sort of dream match for the 25th Mania.
I'd love to see Austin come back more than Rock for one last match but I can't lie I was dying for Rock and Cena back in 2003-2004, the mic work in the build up alone could have been magic.

It would really be a pointless match unless Cena won, which would piss all the lil attitude era marks off. If Rock wins it just buries the face of the WWE right now, if Cena wins its a passing of the torch of sorts.

I tend to agree. Honestly, i think it's wishful thinking on Cena's part, and anyone who actually thinks its going to happen.
