I was successful for Tickets in 4 Games today. One Group Game in Durban, a Group Game in Cape Town (G2 V G4), and two Games in Johannesberg, a Group Game (G1 V G3) and a Second Round Game.
Now, we have ruled out accepting the Durban Tickets, so basically have to make a massive decision. Do we go to Johannesberg which is an average place, but get to see two Games in the World Cup Final Stadium with the possibility of seeing England Play, or see a random Group Game in Cape Town, but get to do the whole Safari thing, football on the beach and have a decent holiday at the same time.
I'm saying this because England will more than likely win our qualifying Group, making us a first Seeded Team, so the chances of us being in the Cape Town Game are very very low. Such a hard choice, what you reckon?

I'd say Johannesberg, becuase hey, the main reason, you are going is for the footy.

Thing is I'll be paying well over £1000 to do this, and will probably never get to go to Africa again, so would be a shame to just spend a week in the middle of a built up City with nothing more than a few Skyscrapers, but two good Games.

If you'll probably never go back I'd go with the whole Safari holiday. I'm sure you could watch the England game at a bar somewhere. The bad thing is I am sure you'd love to see England play in the WC and they could win. Really is a tough choice, mate.

Why not go to Johannesburg and then have a day trip to a safari and another one to a beach? If you're going with a few mates then I'm suree you can all just about come up with the money.
Or the good old flip a coin, and if you feel regret then go for the option not shown by the coin.

J'Bergs like 300 miles plus from any beaches, would have been good to play footy on the beach with the Brazilian boys. Safari could be done though. Gonna make the final verdict tonight and let you boys know.

I agree with the people that said Johannesberg as the main reason your going is for the football though if your spending that kind of money you'd wanna make a holiday out of it aswell.

Go to Cape Town, sounds like their is more to do and holidays are meant to be fun. (I mean watching england wouldn't be that fun would it? ) Being stuck in a place with nothing in it would be pretty crap.

Going to get the Cape Town Group Game and Johannesburg Second Round Game Tickets. Fly to Cape Town, stay there for a few days, get Internal Flights to J'Burg for the Business end of the trip, then Internally fly back to Cape Town and fly home.
That's the initial plan, god knows how I'm gonna get all the accomodation and everything done.

Had a bad problem. Basically we originally thought that once you are successful, you get to choose the ones you want. Instead, they have billed my mates Credit Card, £680 for 8 Tickets to all four games, two of which we can't even go to. It's not even like we can keep them and just sell them on, because you have to pick the Tickets up from the Stadium. So we had to make the choice, either pay up the whole £680 knowing that we wern't even going to go to two of the Games, or pay nothing and get the order cancelled... So we paid the whole lot of course! We thought what's £350 extra odd. Think when you're older you'd earn more than that a week, and would regret it forever knowing I could have gone to a World Cup for that. So yeah, we paid £100 each for the the Second Round Game, £80 each for the Group Game in Cape Town, and then £160 each extra for two more Games we arn't even going to. Shame, but a sacrifice we had to make to forfill our destiny. Got these Tickets; Second Round Game 2, (Runner Up Group A V Winner Group B) Johannesburg Soccer City Stadium, £100 Group Game G1 V G3, Johannesburg Soccer City Stadium, £80 Group Game G2 V G4, Cape Town Green Point Stadium, £80 Group Game ?, Durban King Senzangakhona Stadium, £80 Johannesburg Soccer City World Cup Final Stadium; Cape Town Green Point World Cup Stadium;

Safari in which one was it?Nature > Football. Cape Town, but I think if you head to the outskirts of Johannesburg there are some really good ones there. Only problem with that though is I'll probably end up getting shot.

My dad was in both cities during Easter and said he seen the stadiums being built and advertisements e.g, Sounds like their well up for it. Might go if Norn Iron make it threw ( Rather doubtful)

That Cape Town pic is insane. Unlucky about having to pay extra, but the right descision.
