Oh wow. This is back. I don't usually follow diaries like this but you are one of the best bookers we have so I'll be checking this out every show.

A little taste of SHIMMER for those who don't know what this promotion is all about.

October 19th, 2008 Eagles Club in Berwyn, Illinois Attendance: 200
Volume 22 opens with The International Home Wrecking Crew backstage. Lacey and Rain have the SHIMMER Tag Team Titles resting on their shoulders. Jetta opens the promo by saying that her loss to Ariel on Volume 21 was a fluke. She then promises victory tonight and says that Alex Thatcher won’t know what hit her. Lacey then speaks about their successful first SHIMMER Tag Title defense, saying that they beat a team that had the SHIMMER Champion on it, therefore they should get SHIMMER Title shots. But onto tonight, they plan on sending the Pink Ladies packing back to Australia.Danyah vs. Jennifer BlakeBack on Volume 21, Danyah and Blake lost a tag team match to The Experience, leading to Danyah blaming Blake for the loss and attacking her. Danyah showed off a more aggressive in-ring style and it worked as she was near victory a few times. She went for her finisher, the D-Bomb [Samoan Driver], but Blake reversed it into a crucifix pin for the win. Winner: Jennifer Blake [6:57] **After the match, Danyah was shocked at her loss. She once again attacked Jennifer Blake, this time connecting with the D-Bomb. She screamed in rage before leaving the ring. Ashley Lane & Navaeh vs. Cat Power & Veronika ViceMuch like their first match as a team, Cat Power really impressed the SHIMMER faithful here. Her strength was a lot for the Ohio Girls to handle. They managed to overcome it all though and pick up the win after hitting the STO/Yakuza Kick combo on Vice. Winners: Ashley Lane & Navaeh [6:54] **Alexa Thatcher vs. Jetta w/ The Minnesota Home Wrecking CrewAlexa has been doing her best to fight her way into main event picture here at SHIMMER. She came so close to beating Daizee Haze on Volume 21, while Jetta is still trying to find her footing. Having the SHIMMER Tag Team Champions at ringside was a help as they found any way possible to help Jetta. Jetta hooked Thatcher for the Cross Arm Lung Blower, but Thatcher dropped down and pulled Jetta into a pinning combination for the victory. Winner: Alexa Thatcher [9:17] **½Rebecca Bayless is standing by with Amber O’Neal. Amber is pouting because she is not wrestling on Volume 22. She does tell her fans not to worry, because she’ll be back on Volume 23 and she’s tired of the new crop of SHIMMER girls taking roster spots. She challenges any new SHIMMER girl to a match on Volume 23.Nicole Matthews w/ Portia Perez vs. Serena DeebIn her first two singles matches back on Volumes 17 & 18, Matthews really impressed the SHIMMER crowd. She gets another chance at singles action here against one of SHIMMER’s rising stars in Serena Deeb. This was the best match so far as they went back and forth and both were on their game. The finish came when Deeb nailed the Spear, only for Perez to get on the apron and distract the referee. She got up and argued with Perez, followed by a big left hand which knocked her off. That allowed Matthews the time to get up and hit the Last Rites for the upset win. Winner: Nicole Matthews [14:27] *** The Experience vs. Pretty Bitchin’Despite not being a team for long, Pretty Bitchin’ really held their own with SHIMMER’s longest tenured tag team. The Experience cut the ring in half and worked over Ariel, but once Roxx got the hot tag, she cleaned house. Pretty Bitchin’ then shocked everyone once Roxx got the pin after hitting Malia Hosaka with the Barbie Crusher. Winners: Pretty Bitchin’ [10:19] **¼Rebecca Bayless is backstage again, this time with Cheerleader Melissa. She asks Melissa about the actions of her former friend & enemy, SHIMMER Champion MsChif. Melissa says that she is pissed off at MsChif and that she’s coming for her as soon as possible. But tonight, she has to face probably her toughest opponent in the world. She knows that if she can beat Wesna tonight, then she’s ready for MsChif.LuFisto vs. Mercedes MartinezMartinez has not had the best luck since her return to SHIMMER from injury. That would continue tonight as she couldn’t overcome the very tough LuFisto. It seems like something must be done to right her ship. After a very hard fought battle, that included some of the hardest hitting shots in SHIMMER history, LuFisto gained victory with the Burning Hammer. Winner: LuFisto [16:11] ***½After the match, LuFisto once again showed her sportsmanship by shaking Martinez’s hand.Sara Del Rey vs. Sarah StockJust like their first two matches, this was once again a show stealer, for now at least. Stock’s high flying fast paced offense really was tough for Del Rey to overcome since her new style is based on a power based offense. Stock used that to her advantage as she held early control. Del Rey caught a flying cross body attempt though, and hit a fallaway slam. That turned the tide in Del Rey’s favor. She hit Stock with a huge running big boot and hooked her for the Royal Butterfly. Del Rey went to flip her over, but Stock blocked her several times. Del Rey was forced to release her as all the failed attempts hurt her back. A few minutes later, Stock finally beat Del Rey after nailing her with a Tiger Bomb. Winner: Sarah Stock [17:29] ***¾ SHIMMER Tag Team Championship The Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew [c] w/ Jetta vs. The Pink LadiesIn just their second SHIMMER match, The Pink Ladies took on the Tag Team Champions and really gave them a run for their money. Lacey and Madison Eagles stole the show here as they are the more accomplished athletes in this contest. The Champions really worked over Jessie McKay throughout, until the tag was made to Eagles. She was on fire and came close to victory after hitting a big running big boot. Lacey broke up the count though. McKay ran in and Lacey met her with an Implant DDT. The Champions then hit Eagles with back to back Lung Blowers and Rain pinned to retain. Winners and Still SHIMMER Tag Team Champions: The Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew [14:44] **¾MsChif is now shown in the back. She cuts a promo saying that she doesn’t care what the SHIMMER fans think about her tactics. When she won the SHIMMER Title, she made a promise to herself that she would keep the Title at all costs, which is just what she’s doing. If anybody has a problem with that, they can try to take the belt from her.Cheerleader Melissa vs. Wesna BusicThe biggest rivalry among women athletes hits SHIMMER as these two just went at each other full on. They nailed each other with brutal strikes, which led to some huge moves being hit later on. This battle spilled to the outisde where Melissa used the guardrails for some of her offense, and Wesna hit her with some stiff shots in the crowd. Near the end, Melissa hooked Wesna for the Kudoh Driver, but she worked her way out of it and finished off Melissa shortly after by hitting the CB4 Driver. Winner: Wesna Busic [21:19] ****After Wesna left to the back, Melissa finally sat up in the ring and was furious with herself. She pounded the mat in frustration before she left.SHIMMER Championship MsChif [c] vs. Daizee HazeThese two met back on SHIMMER Volume 14 in a tightly contest, solid match. This was more of the same as they were evenly matched throughout. They seemed ready to counter each other at every chance, but eventually MsChif’s new heel tactics were brought out. MsChif locked in a submission and used the ropes for leverage, she raked Haze in the eyes and went for the Green Mist. Haze cut her off though with a dive to the outside. She rolled her inside and hit MsChif with the Heart Punch. She then nailed the Yakuza Kick for a near fall. Haze picked her up and went for the MindTrip, but MsChif pushed her off and hit the Desecrator to keep the belt. Winner and Still SHIMMER Champion: MsChif [17:40] ***½ [/center]

-Happy that Jennifer Blake beat Danyah. I'd love to see Blake get a shot at the gold soon with a bit more build. -Lane and Navaeh beat Power and Vice is a decent decision. Haven't heard of anyone except Lane but since she won I'm happy. -Thatcher over Jetta was good. Should be interesting to see if Thatcher goes for the title and takes it in her attempt at main event status. -Deeb and Mathews sounded great. Makes for an awesome feud too. Happy to see Mathews take this one too. -Pretty Bitchin' over the Expirience is fine. Didn't expect it to be honest. Hoping to see this feud continue. -LuFisto over Martinez was fine I guess. Just to be completely honest, those are two women I've never heard of. Though I'm happy I know more than 3/4 of them so I can follow this. -Wow. Del Rey and Stock was classic. Stock winning was the best move you could make. Good call. -TMHWC over The Pink Ladies is good. Acceptable title defense to keep them strong. Though I feel it benefited Pink Ladies too since the match was good. -Melissa vs. Busic is my favorite feud on SHIMMER. Busic taking this one was a good call. Though it'd be a good call to me either way. -MsChif over Daizee Haze was the perfect way to end it. I though Haze would win the title tonight. MsChif over is good too. Hopefully Haze takes it this year or 2009. -Great job, Kev. I really liked Haze and MsChif.

Sorry if this isn't going to be too detailed but I'm not familiar with all the wrestlers, also I'm just not a very good replier, nice opening promo building up to the tag match, I'm glad you put pictures not only is it more int resting but it helps me remember who some of them are, glad Blake won as I've seen some of her work, glad Lane's team won maybe a shot at the titles at a future date, surprised that Thatcher won, I'm glad the Experience didn't win they look nasty, hopefully that sets them up for a future tag title shot, nice to see Lufisto win hopefully next show she gets an opponent I know, Ray/Stock sounded awesome real good booking, glad the Wrecking Crew retained, not sure about the placing of the next match could have been lower down so the tag titles set up for the main event, again I'm surprised at Melissa not getting the win, great main event but I hope you take the title off Mischif soon don't know who could take it though, good luck and keep this up.

-We have just been informed of some SHIMMER matches added to upcoming Ring of Honor cards. -On October 24th, 2008, Ring of Honor presents "Return of the 187" from Danbury, Connecticut. On that night, Sara Del Rey will team with the SHIMMER Champion MsChif to take on the team of Daizee Haze and Cheerleader Melissa! -Then, on November 8th, 2008, Ring of Honor will present "Bound By Hate" from Markham, Ontario, Canada. One half of the Canadian Ninjas will be in action when Nicole "The Lariat" Matthews takes on ROH veteran, Daizee Haze! -This is all done in an effort to include more SHIMMER action on ROH shows. Having the SHIMMER Title become more prominent on ROH shows will help the belt gain some prestige.

alright, I was waiting for you to bump so I could reply.
- You seriously need to push Jennifer Blake to the title. No foolin'. - I have no clue who Cat Power and Veronika Vice are, so, goodness to see them lose to Lane and Nevaeh (Killer spelled backwards!... right?) - Jetta's that British girl right? She win, dangit. - Deeb loses!! Oh lord, shave her head. - Roxx Rocks, give her the title (After Blake) - LuFisto. Nuff Said. Give her and Blake the tag titles. - DEL REY LOSES?!?!? THIS BETTER BE LEADING TO SOMETHING! - Rain is hot. - Melissa should never ever ever ever lose, never.... ever.... never... - Everyone has to job out Haze, that's what she's there for.

I would be lying to you if I said that I was a fan of SHIMMER because I have never really bothered to follow the product at all. Honestly, it's the only big independent promotion that I don't know much about. You seem to be pushing all of the girls I like, though, such as MsChif, Sarah Stock, Daizee Haze, and even Alexa Thatcher.
If you can stick with this, you'll have something quite unique on your hands. Keep up the good work, Kev.

Canadian Ninjas vs. MsChif and Haze sounds epic. I sound see Haze turn and set up another rematch for the Shimmer gold.
