Haven't seen that match in a while. Wasn't the last one with Shawn and Triple H in Armageddon 2002? It was epic.

I don't remember another... so yes, I think that was the last one.

Yep. There's only been two. HHH/Austin at NWO 2001 and HBK/HHH. I liked HHH/Austin but I honestly wasn't a fan of HHH/HBK. I don't know what it was, but I wasn't a fan of it.

I'm excited for it. It's also cool that the third stage isn't the generic steel cage.

the austin/hhh match was fantastic, had a pretty surprising finish too. I didn't like the hbk/hhh one bc i wanted hbk to have a title reign longer than 1 month

I'll restate what I said in the Raw thread. Three Stages of Hell: Triple H vs. Stone Cold. Two guys in their prime. First, regular wrestling match. Second, street fight. Third, steel cage. They built up to the cage as it was the most exclusive of the three matches. Three Stages of Hell: Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H. Shawn was still rusty and Triple H was never a good wrestler in 2002. At least not what he used to be before the injury. The second and third matches were a steel cage and a ladder match. Either of those matches work as a third fall, but they're both so big, neither one can precede the other. Thus, the ending match was anti-climactic. Three Stages of Hell: Randy Orton vs. Triple H. Out of the numerous matches they've had together, they've only had a couple good ones. They just don't have good chemistry together. But even if they do manage to pull out the elusive good match, a stretcher match is just not that big of a match to use for such a promoted feud. It's a very anti-climactic match and doesn't have much history to be a dangerous match. A steel cage would have worked better. Or finally just end this feud with Hell in a Cell.

Thank god for this thread, I was wracking my brain trying to think of what the second one was. I remember Hunter/Austin, but I don't remember HBK/Hunter at all.

WWE has been using stretcher matches all too much lately. Not to mention its an incredibly anti-climatic match, making it even less likely that H and Orton will pull off anything above disaster level.
Honestly, its bad enough that they're wrestling on Pay-Per-View, but three times just makes me want to vomit. I'm not even going to try to watch this show.

It could turn out to be a very intresting set of matches, I am a little confused though are they going to have all three matches back to back or are they going to spread them across the entire pay per view, because if they did that I think it would really kill the momentum.

Michaels/Helmsley was for the World Title too, which Michaels had only just won at Survivor Series '02...
I didn't mind it, but had a feeling Michaels would not retain...

What was the most recent one aside from Hardy/Hardy on Smackdown!?

I always love 2/3 matches that have stipulations, but a Stretcher Match doesn't belong in this type of scenario no matter where you put it. As J12 said, it's an anti-climactic match so it makes for a bland Match 3 that will fizzle out instead of ending on a high note. And it makes no sense as Match 1 or 2 because the purpose is for the opponent to be knocked out to the point that they can be rolled up the ramp. It'd be ridiculous to then see that wrestler get off the stretcher and wrestle another match or two.

I didn't like the hbk/hhh one bc i wanted hbk to have a title reign longer than 1 month I didn't really like the ending to the hhh/hbk match but I did like the match. I am just glad that the hhh/orton match is different then a plain match since I will be at Arco this Sunday so I'm excited. I kinda wish the last fall was a ladder match since it would be better and I thought that it was going to be that since orton/hhh used a ladder a lot in their last man standing match.

Possibly HHH vs. Orton in the works if that were to come back...........................
