My Wal-Mart has this game on clearance for $10 and I was wondering if it would be worth picking up?
What are some of your opinions on this game? I would like to grab a new wrestling game to play, as I am feeling a little sick of SVR09 (although I do love that game). I skipped all the wrestling games from HCTP until SVR09 to I don't know what is good and what isn't.
I have a Wii that I NEVER use, but I should be able to use this game on it, right? Do I need to get a GameCube controller to play?
Am I better off just getting TNA Impact on clearance for my 360, or is that game as bad as the show?
Sorry for all the questions, any help is much appreciated!

DOR2 is a great game, but I always prefered the first - although the differences between the two are minor. It's definitely worth picking up if you want a good and entertaining wrestling game.
You'll need a Gamecube controller to play and a Gamecube memory card to save - You can't save onto the Wii system memory; so keep that in mind.
The TNA game is decent, I enjoyed it and I think a lot of others did too - but it gets old fast and is more an extended demo - than a game worth investing in.

Maybe I will pick it up, bearing I can get a cheap GC controller and memory card. Not really looking to drop too much $$ on this venture...

Get it. It's as simple as that. DOR2 is one of the best games since HCTP. Since you can get all three things for a relatively cheap price, I'd say definitely do it.

Definitely, DOR2 is easily my favorite wrestling game since No Mercy. It doesn't get much more fun than Last Man Standing triple threats.

I agree with this. DOR was my favourite wrestling game of all time. I couldn't wait to get DOR2 but when I did it just didn't feel the same, maybe it was just too similar or something, I could never put my finger on it. As CBG said though, the differences are minor and if you haven't played DOR1 you'll love this i'm sure. For $10 you won't be dissapointed, even with the extra cost of the controller and memory card it would be worth it!

Wrestlemania 2000 is my favorite but DOR 2 is a close second. Great gameplay and a lot of fun to do 4 way matches with your friends.

I like the first DoR more, bt DoR II is very good aswell. The reason why I like the first one more is that the CAW mode doesn't have to load (well it loads, but for like a second) when you change things on them. In DoR II, it loads for a long time everytime you change something. Also the A.I in the first one is smarter, because in the second one, if you do a mult-person match, the A.I will be obessed with inturupting your move (they will run over, and strike you if you are going for a stron grapple etc, and you will drop them) So if you see the first DoR, get it because it is one of the most amazing wrestling video game experiences you will have. The second is still really good compared to SvR09 imo. And you can probably find a memory card and controller cheap.

The only thing i didn't like about this game was the season, mainly because it just had one path, and the damn summerslam cage match. Man was I happy when i finally finished that. Plus it's the only game to feature Kenzo Suzuki ;D

I liked the first DOR , because I loath the stamina system.

If any of you had ever play No Mercy or VPW2 you'd see what a horrible game this really is...
Although, the story mode on DOR was funny as hell... FIGHTING the henchman!
