The Americans who watched Soccer before this are really pumped, and everybody else seemingly couldn't care less.

My cousins are pumped for this, but they probably want Brazil to win. U.S got a big win from Spain. I only watch it (sometimes) when I am over at my cousins house or something like that. Soccer is a cool sport to play and alright to watch.

I wasn't sure if I should post this, because I know not to many people in THIS board follow soccer. I'm actually not as pumped as I should be. Brazil REALLY scares me. I mean, anything can happen, but I'm not as optimistic as I could be. We'll see. I'm looking more forward to the World Cup than anything but...ya.

Yeah World Cup will be unreal. Just too warn you tho lads, England have a 100% record in the qualifying so far and we are gonna go all the way and win it next year trust! Haha. How are USA doing in qualifying anyway? Anyone here really into their football and support an american team like Galaxy or anything?

I'm proud to say I'm a Crew fan (though their past season left a lot to be desired, considering we won the MLS Cup last year.) And it's great you have pride in your country's team, but let's be honest. Soccer/Football is really the ultimate "anyone can win on any day" sport. So, while I'm sure England would have done well, there is no certainty that they would have made the finals in the Confederations Cup. Not hatin, just sayin.

Na I know, footie is a funny old game. Like no one woulda put money on you lot to be in the final of CC. Yeah I know Galaxy aren't that good, they just have a load of oldies who were good back in the day seeing their careers out. But that Donavon is good if he still plays for them? And not heard of Crew, where abouts they based? They in the top MLS league with Galaxy etc?

For the sake of discussion, I just made this the Soccer thread. Ya, the US doesn't exactally have the best of luck in the CC. The Galaxy are still decent, but they are just overrated. As in, even if they up royally, there is always someone waiting to give an excuse as to why they ed up. Hope you don't take this the wrong way, but they are the US's Man U. And as for the Crew, they are just having a tough year. They are ranked 4th in the East and are tied for 8th overall. They really came into their own last year, especially with their shocking Cup appearence. And the best part was that they won. And for the record, the top team in the MLS, if you wanna go by history and crap, would be the DC United.

I'm cool with that - we hate Man U, we hate Man U, lalalalala. lol.
So are your leagues in regions then? Do you not have just one big league where every team in the country plays in like the Prem over here? I guess america is alot bigger tho.
Are Crew from Pennsylvania then?

There are 15 teams, broken up into 2 Conferences. Eastern (7 teams) and Western (8 teams). MLS's site: web.mlsnet.com/index.jsp Other MLS info: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_League_Soccer And no, the Crew are from Columbus, Ohio.

Basically if you refer to yourself as a (Enter Country)-American....Then you probably care about whats going on, but the rest of the US doesnt really.

But look at who they have that record against. Andorra. Kazakhstan. Not exactly Brazil or Spain are they? They have a very good shot, but will fall flat as always.

$250,000,000 to never show up. Where do I sign up? I'll never show for half that. I was thought no one showed up to Galaxy games, even money isn't offered. I support the Sounders though. Also we actually scored on Brazil, that has to be worth something.
