Like the title says... I'm looking to play some of the better titles on the system for the next few weeks (surgery's putting me out for 2 months) and would love to hear of some of your favorites to play on the system...
Please - no RPG's

This might be more of a classic thing, but oh well, here are my choices:
Crash Bandicoot (1, 2, Warped, Nitro Kart)- Real fun platformers, and a decent Mario Kart ripoff. They are basically Playstation's Sonic or Mario
Tekken (2, 3)- I'd stick with 2 and 3, the first one is a bit more primitive. They are really good classic 3D fighters with a good cast of charecters and a wide range of endings, stories, and unlockables. If you like fighting games, these are a must.
Mortal Kombat Triology- Also if you like fighting games, this is a must for the collection. Its a mashup of the first three 2D Mortal Kombat games. Featuring a huge cast of charecters and levels, its a good touch of classic-ness.
Resident Evil (1, 2, 3)- Get em all. Play em in order. They are really good survival horror games, infact some of the only, and first, survival horror games. If you never played them before, they will scare the crap out of you. And, they will make you think and balance weapons. They have many complex puzzles and you gotta stay on your toes. You have a limited ammount of saves, and many monsters looking to kill you.
Metal Gear Solid- A truely epic action/adventure game with prehaps the most thrilling music and complex storyline for its time. It's graphics were unbeatable for its time. Hell, these days, there arent even that many games with as good a storyline as MGS.
Thats what I got just off the top of my head. Im sure I can go dig up my collection and find some "gems," but these are the best of the best. Hope it helps.
ALSO, two personal favorites of mine are the Strike helicopter games, Soviet Strike and Nuclear Strike. They are good action games that have some real good storylines and voice acting, especially for 1996. It's also fun to enter unlimited ammo and just blast the crap out of everything. I mean, who doesnt wanna reak havoc and deystroy the entire city of Moscow, or Pyang-Yang, or blow up a nuclear reactor with people in it?
