Sorry not sure if this goes here. But tomorrow at 9:30 am im going to get a filling done. And my insurance just went out when i turned 19 and i plan on paying for it out of pocket. But what i need help with is i was looking in the mirror at my cavity, and i can see 3 very small black dots, which i assume is the cavity but im no dentist. But its been really stressing me out because will that mean ill have to pay the price of 3 fillings, or will it just count as one??
BTW just to make this thread somewhat worthy has anyone had any bad experiences at the dentist?

However, I am no dentist either, and I can't tell without seeing it. And I had a filling once where the dentist started drilling before the anesthetic kicked in.

My sister is a dentist and I'd tell you to go see her if you lived here in Sacramento, CA but I will say that if you don't get stuff like that checked it, it could cost you more in the end. Go see a dentist, don't ask a message board.

Ill ask whatever i want as well thank you

If its the same tooth it should just cost for one filling . Although if that one tooth has been hurting and has like you said 3 black dots they may not can fill it and may have to pull it which may cost more.

GUESS WHAT??!!? I went to the dentist this morning and it wasn't even a cavity. He gave me some sensodyne and said the tooth was probably just sensitive. WHEW that was a relief, all i paid was 20 bucks for an x-ray, they didnt even charge me for the visit

I hate the dentist. I shake uncontrollably there.

My only bad dental experience wasn't even a pain issue as much as it was an insurance issue.
I had 3 impacted wisdom teeth and the oral surgeon wanted to remove all 4, claiming that the 4th was eventually going to impact anyway. The insurance company wouldn't pay for the 4th because it wasn't impacted yet.
