What is the best way to start pushing someone, it just doesn't make sense to me to just make someone wrestle main eventers all of a sudden. How have you pushed some of your wrestlers to get them 'over'.

Have them win some Champion's Carnival-like tournament or something

Slow build if you ask me. Let 'em gain momentum over a long time and then win a big match with a big reward.

But seriously you could put them in a world title match after winning a battle royal its a good idea. It put them right to the top. Then make them eliminate someone in the chamber or something.

Thanks guys. One failure of a push in my fed was Brian Kendrick. I instantly put the world title on him, then I got bored of his push and he wasn't really over. So, now he went from champion to jobber on ECW. The Miz has had many US Title reigns on RAW which helped boost him. Then he was in the championship scramble also starting a mini-feud with HHH. So, he is slowly getting to the main event.

have someone win a bunch of matches, then win a battle royal for like the us title, then once he loses it, have him win the royal rumble match or be the last one thrown out

I usually bring someone in and have them cut some promos(if thats their thing) and get some wins, maby some tough losses that still make them look good. Then, have them make their way towards a mid-card title or a decent fued with an upper-echelon talent. I really try to never put someone in the World Title scene unless they've held some other kind of title though.

Have them cut some promo's about how they are the next big thing and face an established veteran who will make them look strong if they win.

win small championships, a tourney, get a big title shot, AND BAM! you got a main eventer on your hands.

Have them just come up short on winning an EC or RR and then have them start a winning streak that leads them to the wht?
