there is however a kamala moon on ebay at the moment that seems legit. Well, i say legit, the seller has thousands of transactions, 100% and is selling the figure MOC for a few thousand. it could be the real deal I don't think so, it's 100% re-saeled. Few minths ago he sent me some pics of it and I've notice that it's fake..but maybe I'm wrong who knows ! I'm sure this one popped up months ago on ebay, the glue residue coming through the back gives it away if i remember rightly from the discussion last time?

Do we think the seller knows?
Im always ready to give someone the benifit of the doubt, they have good feedback, the arnt selling it for pennies (usually the give away). The only people who would try and buy it are the ones who are 'in the know' and could pick faults, so to speak.
But the seller ISNT offering any background... so i would be wary

Another custom guys and gals. This seller had it up a while ago and is trying to sell it again. I emailed him telling him that it's not legit but he claims he got it from a relaible person. It is a reseal and the moon is not factory painted.

I just took a look at the one up for sale right now. I believe the seller is honest and doesn't actually realize he has a custom/fake. So much so that he actually took a close up pic of the proof that this IS NOT LEGIT. There is a pic of the lower right corner of the back of the card where one can see what appears to be residue from where the import sticker has been removed (right above the UPC and around the proof of purchase) or from where the glue used to reseal the bubble has bled though (perhaps both). This is ALWAYS one of the key giveaways when people do customs of this figure, as has been discussed here time and again. The real one was not a production figure and any evidence of circulation (price tag or residue, import sticker, ect) would prove it a fake.
In fact, pretty much assume that you will never see a legit example of this figure on ebay unless one of the confirmed owners sells his or someone proven to have been handed one at the time (i.e. a former Hasbro employee with credentials) steps forward with one.

I agree with you mate! Great explanation +1 for this!

I'm going to put an end to this topic now. as most of you did i emailed the seller of the moon kamala that sold last week asking where he got it from, i've taken a screenshot of his reply Atleast we know he's a liar - either that or his mum knocked it up back in '92 and told him a lie!
