Check it out. I saw an auction on ebay for this guy who made figure belts with leather and I had pieces of leather that I found lying around, so I decided to try and leather up these figure belts myself. This is my first attempt at it, but I will make it more smooth later on in the future. I love the way it folds and bends so easily like the actual real belts shown on tv. I have a lot of different color leathers too, so it'll be fun to see. I still need to add velcro which i'll be getting later on. let me know what you guys think. The plates can be shift around somewhat if it becomes unaligned. Overall, I'm happy about it. EDIT: I posted this in WF talk, but I scanned it on the printer and it looks better. LMK. EDIT 2: Added the silver painted IC belt and ECW World belt EDIT 3: Added WWF Classic Silver Plated Winged Eagle, Tag, and WWE Undisputed. click on link to see pics: wfigs.proboards48.com/index.cgi?board=classifieds&action=display&thread=1184460709

You should put a dull clear coat over the edges so it don't look as rough.

I love your color choice. It looks like the first version of the 'big gold' belt. In the future you should cut the little prong things(?) off the back of the plates and just glue them to the leather. Also, so it's not too bulky in the back you could get some felt and use that as a backing. That way you will only need one piece of velcro. The "male end", if you will.

That looks awesome. I have a lot of extra leather material lying around. I should try that.

thanks for the replies guys. its done, however i trimmed the longer side of the leather strap, now it won't fit around a fat torso. the pic of it is on the custom page with my custom funb hogan.

I couple of them should have some longer and thicker straps, but for the most part they're looking real good.

I traced them. As for the length, the only one that is too short is the World Belt, that was my first one and i trimmed it too short. All of these belts will fit up to a "fat torso" with the exception of the World belt which will fit up to Super Heavyweight.
