I think you're the one that's blind here, bud. And please don't talk about some team being given a gift, mr. NY jets fan . And not all PA fans are like this. Sure we have a sense of loyalty to our team, what of it? But I tell you what, if the steelers dont make the playoffs Im not gonna whine about how the colts laid down. we made our bed and we gotta sleep in it. And, Let's look at who the B10 beat this year in bowls...LSU, Oregon, Miami...all teams that at one time were in the top 5. You talk about weak schedules and cupcake teams yet we've gone out this year and beat or hung with these "super" conferences like the SEC, Pac 10, etc. Moreover, everyone that has argued against PSU still has yet to answer why LSU couldnt stop PSU from scoring when they were ahead, why was there no penalty called when the LSU player blew up our center on the goaline? Had that been called and not the illegal procedure against Quarless, people woulda complained about that! And why did Les Miles use up his timeouts? And what was LSU doing in the first half when they only had 3 points? Was that all the refs fault too or should we blame it on the same field that PSU had to play on? The proof is in the pudding and the bottom line is, becasue people have personal ill feelings towards a team or state's teams, they cant get over the fact that a team wins a game by playing well when it counts not on one call. If LSU was so stinking great, they shoulda never been in this situation. And please dont argue that LSU is an average team when they nearly beat Florida and national title contender Alabama. Yes, the Jets got a gift. The difference is we got a gift b/c a team decided to rest its starters. Big difference then getting a blatant and biased call to help your team. The only reason you are pissed about that is cuz it hurt the Steelers, Mr. Lamar Woodley. LSU, Oregon, Miami......the only team that was really that good was Oregon. And outside of Ohio St. there are ZERO really good teams in the Big 10. LSU was on a down year and Miami is young. On another note, NEVER was Miami ranked in the top 5 this year. Dont know what game you've been watching. Hell......I'm not even sure if LSU was. LSU isnt all that great. If they were.....they would have won those games. In fact, they blew the damn Alabama game. As far as the predicament they were in for this bowl game.....you're right. Clearly, excellent teams dont get stuck in that situation. This is why LSU isnt an excellent team. There is one issue at hand and thats the piss poor BS call against LSU on their last drive. Whether or not they scored.....dont know. Probably, but who knows. I dont know why PA fans cannot just accept when their team loses or accept when they get a BS call that gift wrap-s them a win. They just refuse. LOL Oregon was by far the worse outta them, Miami and LSU. LSU played arguably the 2 best teams in the nation as close as you can get and Miami defeated more ranked opponents this year then any other team. Oregon beat a crappy USC team, got beat by Stanford and got beat by Boise State

First of all we're splitting hairs over who a good team is and who a bad team is...it's too subjective to argue. i mean the colts are a good team but they lost to the Jets...So are the jets a good team now? lol, no. But for the record, yes Miami was only as high as #9, LSU was at one time #3. And by the way, a gift is a gift. you can put it in any kinda flowery package you want to, but it's still a gift. Your hate towards PA teams has truly blinded you. Again, it had nothing to do with one call, and I suggest you look at how the LSU linemen "helped" Navarro up again. If you tried to pick your friend up off the ground the same way the LSU player did, he'd turn around and say WTF man? But again, it still doesnt explain why LSU only had 3 points in the first half, or why they ran 15 seconds off the clock after that play, or why they couldnt stop PSU when they were up 17-16. As I said, you want to look at one particular incident, when there was more then that involved. And the incident that is being argued about shouldn't even be an issue becasue for the umpteenth time, had the LSU player not flung navarro and just lined his ass up, the penalty woulda never happened. When's the last time you watched a football game and a player manhandles another player in front of a referree and it doesn't get called. And please stop generalizing every PA fan becasue of what you've experienced. Like I said, as a Steeler fan, im not gonna blame anyone but ourselves for not making the playoffs, if we dont. I'll be pissed about other teams but I'm not gonna say that they cost us the playoffs when in reality that;s not the case. Same situation with the LSU game, one incident did not cost LSU that game, and I think I've justified my points in that regard. ps-address me as someone other than mr. Lamar woodley...I luv the guy, but he's from Michigan and terrorized us( PSU). I've still not embraced him yet, although, today he made his way onto next years christmas list ;D While the idea can be argued, there is no doubt on certain teams. And comparing the NFL and college football and why one team lost and one didnt is absurd. Colts arent playing in the Super Bowl. They were playing in a game that meant nothing towards their Super Bowl goal. If the Jets beat the Colts, full starters and all, then there could be some talk. But they didnt. Absurd. Now you want to argue whether the call was just?! PLEASE! You are the only person blinded by your homerism for PSU. Get off the soap box. This is exactly why I cant stand PSU. Its not cuz of Paterno or the players or b/c I dont like PA teams. Its because the fans of these teams are some of the most annoying homers I have ever encountered. No matter where in Philly I go for a sporting event, the fans are ridiculous. They behave badly and to the point that may not even be human. I know there are unruly fans in every sport in every stadium......but Philly is by far the worse I have ever encountered. And PSU fans are no different. When they win, its always about how great they are and how the voters and polls screw them. When they lose, its always about how someone screws them with a bad call or whatever. Stop the ing crying. Lamar Woodley.....stop the crying. It's not absurd just because you say its absurd. So who are you trying to convince, you or me? The point is that you cant justifiably argue that team a is better than team b becasue Team a beat Team b on that day. My point again is that you or I trying to validate who a good team is or is not, is pointless, because of it's subjectivity. Need i say, to argue over it is absurd? So it seems your point of contention is about your personal experiences. But let's make things clear...I wasn't an obnoxious fan or "homer" that came on here and bragged about how great PSU was. I simply defended what i thought was right about the call. I didnt say PSU was the best team in the world becasue they sure as hell ain't, and admittedly on a decent field they mighta lost that game...who knows. But I'm pretty proud that our team hung in there and won against a decent team after the two eggs WE, not the refs, not the weather, not the jack leg down the street, laid at home. That doesnt make me a homer, even though I wouldnt be ashamed of that, but it makes me a proud fan. A proud fan thats gonna stand up and defend his team if I think they were in the right. Like I said before, in comparision, as a steeler fan, i have not a thing to say about us not making the playoffs. As a fan i'm completely ok with what happened and admit it was our fault. Now if i went all over the boards and blasted every team or the ref calls, etc, etc about it being our reason for not making the playoffs then yea, I'd be one of those obnoxious a'holes that you've encountered. My life doesnt revolve around Penn state. I'm a diehard but it's not my life. I think maybe you should look at it as some fans are just a bit more passionate and fanatical about their teams and just deal with it instead of getting all bitter because of the way you've been treated.

So we'll either have a 4-way tie for the Championship between Me, Angels4Life, Nuttz and deskjet, or a 3-way tie between Me, Angels4Life and Nuttz. Texas for the 4-way, and Alabama for the minashatwa.

It's over! Crimson communists, you're done. The stage is too big for Bama. Texas scores first, I'm callin it!
