The majority of my fondest memories concern going on trips and visiting the stores in different areas. Unlike normal people, I don't collect shot glasses from vacation points. If there is a figure I want even remotely, I will get it and remember where I got it. Here are some of the best: RA1 Brock/Bischoff- Erie PA. R3 Rikishi- Stockton Ca. Posted Box Set- St. Catherines, Canada Real Hair Earthquake- Hayward Ca. (I didn't buy it, either. I am still kicking myself) Draft Scott Hall- Rochester, NY. Wrestlemania X8 2 packs- Redding Ca. CS 18 Austin, Mabel, Kane, JR, Rikishi- Parma OH. 1/500 Kofi- KB Toys Erie PA, around the time it was closing. One of the last figs I ever got there. 1/500 Morrison, Clarence NY. 1/500 Styles- Orchard Park, NY Obtaining the Foley/Taker classic 2 pack for 3 dollars. Collecting tickets for the Hulk Hogan exclusive (I admit it. I sliced a few packages in the stores, took the tickets right out and sliced off the UPCs. It was Hogan and I wasn't about to miss it, just like I wasn't about to buy a second Bruno Sammartino just for the ticket)
Then there are other simple joys, finding the nWo series for the first time. They all hang in a row on my wall, and likely will be with me 4 LIFE! How about finding oddities such as that Final Count series Burt Angle figure (Long tights with weird arrow designs for some reason, hence the name Burt.) Any time there was a huge sale and I bought figs I didn't need just to take advantage. Finding a new classic series. All of the Rocky figs. I remembered the joy I got from those very recently when I saw a leftover Frank Stallone on clearance in England.
And of course the sad memories of stores closing their doors forever (KB) with the knowledge that this is the last time you will ever be there, struggling for something to buy. Oh yes, I still wake up screaming KB TOYS!!! at night occasionally. It's true, I am an unmitigated dork, and I don't care at all. Of course, you sort of have to be to use this forum at all.

I still remember exactly when I was first introduced to Jakks. I was at a live event in Toronto back in 1996 and instead of buying a souvenir t-shirt, I looked up and saw these new action figures. Having had Hasbros for years before, I was SO excited at the opportunity. I picked up an Undertaker and a Goldust, which I still have to this day, while my buddy picked up an Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. That was a good day. I even remember first finding series 2 of the BCA's in Toys 'R Us and becoming increasingly addicted to the figures. Another fond memory was the announcement, and the first prototype images of the Classic Line. The re-introduction of Bret Hart in figure form re-energized my love for Jakks. In all honesty, however, my interest peaked not too long after that, but it seems to be back with Mattel. I'll always have the fond memories of creating shows in my friend's basement each week with my new figures, and I'll always remember that it was Jakks who provided me with such great memories.

I have many memories mostly of TTL figures.
I don't remember where they all came from but they accumulated over time from my parents probably, i had a royal rumble with the Hasbro? figures with my brother, all we would do is put every figure in the ring and then use our hands to rapidly move them around and whoever stayed in was the winner. This would usually end with every going out so we would do it again until just one stayed in the ring.
Another thing was having a royal rumble in the kitchen and using the raw TTL Titan tron to hang every belt i had on it. Then watching judgment day 03 i had my first Wrestlemania headlined by the rock and Benoit, i had a rectangle multi colored box i used a steel cage for one of those matches.
Then came the metal vengeance arena barriers which where so awesome, i had a bunk bed with a chair and desk at the bottom so i used that as a layout to set titan trons up and backstage areas with the Ring poking out from the bunk bed edge. I miss that set up.
Randomly getting figures because you where ill or going shopping with your mum and pleading with her to buy it. I remember one occasion when i just had a tooth removed and was still feeling the effects of the procedure and my dad brought me home a King of the Ring Matt Hardy TTL.
I remember walking to school and somehow i knew of a Kurt angle in a WM 17 attire was on sale somewhere and me and my best mate put money together to buy it. I used to love going over to his house with all my figures and him coming to my house. It was an awesome experience that i will never forget. Doing stupid kid like things with th world longest stinkface on Regal and trading figures.
On one Christmas day i gt an insurrection 10 pack and the Raw is War cardboard stage, i absolutely loved it and didn't care for anything else i got that day.
I remember seeing a new RVD figure somewhere and wanted one so bad i had my auntie searching the INTERNET for one, going to every toy section and being disappointed not to find one and then one random trip to Tesco with my mum and i found an RVD nd Jericho 2pack... i dint think iv ever been more happier to find a figure.
Getting all of Sgt slaughter, Bret Hart, Ric Flair, Ultimate Warrior, Ted Dibiase and i think one other, i only got one then and had to wait for my birthday for the others but along with those i got my first RSR that birthday WM 1 and it was awesome.
Finding out i could use the INTERNET to increase my figure findings was one of the best days.
Finding this website and all of you other figure collectors was awesome and helped find out that i could customize figures.
There are so many memories i cant remember or have forgotten.

I can't help but laughing at the thought of you seething in front of your computer over something that happened 4 years ago. You better get back to ebay, I think one of your auctions is ending. Yuk Yuk Yuk.

Thought I would bump this just because I enjoyed the thread so much. Having just picked up my first Mattel figure, it kind of hit home that the Jakks era has come to an end (with WWE at least).
I got my first BCA in '97 or early '98, and ever since then I've been collecting Jakks figures. Over all that time, there have been a lot of great memories; the figures themselves, and the other memories I've associated with them. I'll never forget the day my girlfriend and I went on our first date, and I stopped at TRU on my way home and found the first TTL Benoit figure. I was so stoked. I can look at any figure in my collection and remember what trip or vacation I found it on, etc. As for the products themselves, some of my favorite Jakks memories:
Slammers Series 2. My first Jakks figures! Taka Michinoku and HBK.
Real Scan! I couldn't believe how awesome the House of Pain series was. First I bought Austin... then HHH... and within a couple days I'd been to Walmart 4 times and bought the whole set.
Attitude Points. That Lita is still one of my favorite figures.
All the awesome K-mart multi-packs. Razors Edge, Billion Dollar Trio... so great.
RA1! Brock! Rey! Just like House of Pain, these things were like WHOA. The best wrestling figures ever?
CS1. A fellow WF member hid me a Bret Hart and Warrior at TRU. That was a blast.
DA. My new favorite figure style.
It's always been a love/hate relationship with Jakks, so I'm sure I'll follow them to the TNA line... and have just as many complaints as ever. :-)

i remember walking into woolworths and seeing wwe figures on the shelf, there were loads and it was buy 1 get one free. i went in the next day and brought stone cold and the rock, ttl wrestlemania series or somthing. i didnt know about the figure before that. then from then on i brought loads of figures with my pocket money and i used to play all the time with them. i stopped for a while and then started buying RA from a figure shop i had found. then signed up on here and got back into it again. stopped again....and then started when DA's first came out, didnt have many and then i stopped again, i probly wont collect anymore...well..maybe if the deluxe mattle are going cheap...
