NEW YORK (Reuters) – News Corp warned that testy carriage negotiations with Time Warner Cable Inc could leave viewers unable to see programing from its Fox broadcast network, including it blockbuster hit "American Idol" and NFL football. Negotiations between the two sides have been primarily held up by a disagreement over the value of Fox's free-to-air broadcast network. Fox is asking Time Warner Cable for around $1 a subscriber in payment for the retransmission rights to carry its network, according to a person familiar with the talks. news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20091218/en_nm/us_fox_timewarnercable

Remember when all those channels were rumored to go out a while back?
...yeah, I doubt it happens.

This happened with Time Warner last year right around this time. We were set to lose MTV, USA, and a bunch of others. They reached an agreement the day of the deadline.
Time Warner is running a "roll over or get tough" campaign right now, urging all it's customers to help make the decision whether to get tough with the networks and providers (meaning we likely lose channels) or roll over and pass on the charges to us.
There's no way they'll get away with pulling Fox. People won't stand for that, they'd lose an unbelievable amount of customers.

I've already gone to the site and voted for "roll over" and they gave me some bs about how they shouldn't.

I worked as a telephone customer service rep for Time Warner New York (your tech will be there shortly!) and they always pull this b.s. That was about 5 years ago and we had a ton of stations that were set to go out then and had a full speech for our customers (just like when they're looking for a tech!). I doubt anything will happen.

I ing hate Time Warner. They provide us with poor service and are shocked when people switch to Dish or Fios.

I'm SO glad I changed to FIOS last year. Time Warner is pure garbage.
