As opposed to earlier years when I was just buying to have them, I've really narrowed down my collection to just the ones I really like. However, when something better comes out, I do enjoy upgrading.
For instance, my RA 41 Jericho. The detail is great, as is the figure. But I personally feel the Mattel one is better, therefor I want to upgrade to it. On the flip side, I also own the WM 3-Pack John Cena, and with all the accessories and all, I think it looks better then anything Cena that Mattel has out. So I'll stick with him.
ONCE I HAVE THEM IN HAND I WILL DECIDE. NEVER COLLECTED JAKKS UNLESS OUTTA NEED(PIC FEDDING), BUT THE STYLES ARE KINDA GETTIN ME INTO IT. Again we'll see.

I dont fit in the above categories. Before I was interested in Mattel and wanted to pick up a couple to see how they go. So far I am fairly impressed wit the 1 figure I do have. However, the head scans still bother me, especially Edge's. For me the figure starts with the head and next is the playability. If you fail in those 2 categories, its hard for me to be interested in it. As crappy as Edge looks, Bourne looks amazing and blows Jakks away. I am still in a wait and see. I need more before I can pass a final full fledge judgment.
I mean, let's be honest, we've all seen or have these same characters already. So what makes you want to buy the same characters now?
We have but these figures look so better. It seems like sometimes Jakks had a compettion where they tried to see how big they could make a wrestlers head before people stopped buying the figures. Jakks started out strong then blah....
1. Because I collect wrestling figures. So I'll buy the wrestlers I enjoy watching. Right now I have the ones I have on a shelf with my Jakks figures, but once I get more I'll just display them on a different shelf.
2. Because they are better than jakks versions....So why wouldn't I want to update them with better versions?

I am surprised you don't like the Edge figure...I think it looks great.
Edge is my favorite current/modern wrestler and I am happy that the Elite figure looks really good. The head sculpt looks on par or even better the the one used on the most recent Jakks figures (CS 3 pack, RA40 etc...).

I was never a fan of Jakks simply because of the size of a figure. For me an action figure and a doll have distinctive size difference. Jakks always leaned more on the doll sized which i hated. Moreover, the playability with RA's was downright non existent and to this day I still dont know how people like RA's over DA's at least in terms of poseability.. I love the DA's but the price range and the generic body mold has turned me off, although great for playability.
Agree with CM that some of the headscans are off and they will need some fixin before I buy them. Im hoping the playability(at least around the legs ) is an improvement over Jakks.
