I went to my local TRU again today only to find that they had NO Mattel figures whatsoever. I was kinda mad because it took me a while to get to TRU from my house, so I complained to a manager that Mattel figures are supposed to be on sale and that I came so far and after giving me a dirty look, the manager went to the back and brought out ONE box of Basic 2-Packs Series 1.
I ended up picking up HBK & Jericho, and Legacy. I passed on Santino and Beth but they still looked amazing.
The box of 2-Packs had 6 pieces, here's how they're broken down from what I saw:
3 HBK & Jericho, 2 Legacy and 1 Santino & Beth
A couple notes for us Canadian collectors, I went to TRU's Rzone where an employee had a free computer to check their systems, and I asked him politely to check up Mattel WWE figures and he let me know the prices for them, here they are:
Basic Series 1 - $16.99 Basic Series 1 2-Packs - $24.99 Flexforce Series 1 - $16.99
I didn't get prices for Elite or WM Heritage because he said he was busy, so that's all I got. I'll try to call back again tomorrow and post any info I get. It's interesting to see that Basic figures are much more expensive than even Jakks figures which were $12.99 at most retailers.
Just thought I'd share this with you all. =)

$16.99 for basic is freakin' outragous! I can only imagine how much the Elites are...

Thanks endLess for the update. I hope to find the WWE series later in the day at the only TRU in Victoria. But I'm hoping for the worst. When I went Boxing Day shopping, pegs marked with "forrest Griffin" were empty at a Walmart.

I was reassured this morning walking into a local TRU and finding pegs full of new WWE Mattel figures...however they need to get their prices in check. I can confirm the prices that endLess said they were and then some. The Elite figures here are $22.99 per figure! And strangly enough I think we're getting ripped off with that line not only because of the prices but because on the back of the packaging The Undertaker and Rey Mysterio were the only ones listed! They also weren't seemingly carrying the Basic line (or they just weren't put out yet). They had the two figures from the Elite line all of the Basic 2-packs series 1 as well as the first set of Wrestlemania Heritage excluding Cena and Undertaker for some odd reason.
Yes I caved and got all three 2-packs and the two Elites that they were offering. I was very tempted by the Stone Cold figure. If they had Basic Series 1 my wallet would be in even worse shape. If these figures weren't so good I'd be upset. Can't complain quality wise though. Mattel has done good with quality but they need to lower their prices ASAP.

TRU in London had a huge display right when i walked in, i was tempted to get more but i only got Legacy and HBK/Y2J. They're way too overpriced, and i was disappointed that there were only rey and taker listed for the elites. i'll probably make an rsc order.

Both Walmarts in Hamilton have absolutely nothing. A jakks belt and 1 RA figure.

Nope, I didn't find any figures today. Picked up The Ultimate Fighter 7 using an HMV gift certificate I received for Christmas.

Looks like Zellers is the cheapest for the figures so far...
Wonder if they'll stock more than the Basics..

Checked a local Zellers earlier today as well. No Mattel's but they did seem to put out a fresh case of Best of DA 2009.

Back from my vacation in Texas. Went to a TRU close to Plano Texas, it was freaking huge! Puts CDN TRU's to shame! As for the Mattel figs, went to TRU in St. Laurent shopping center in Ottawa. They only had the WM Legends set and two of the elite figs. Seems like the Elite figs are limited to Taker and Mysterio because they only showed those two on the back of the box, at least at this TRU. Prices for them were crazy! Anyone find the UFC RS Octagon here in Canada yet?
List of the stuff I got in texas:
- Super Mario Bros messenger bag - Optimus Prime t-shirt - Wall-E disney Store exclusive figs - District 9 and Up on blu-ray (were $10 cheaper down south then here!) - Family Guy Star Wars Ep. 2

Just a question, when ordering from ringsidecollectibles.com, are the prices listed in US prices or are they converted already? I'm interested in picking up a RSR and their selling it for $49.99.
Help?

Ouch @ those prices...I was really looking forward to picking a few Elite Series figures up, but at that price I might as well pass, or pick up one.
I'm buying a lot of loose and MOC CS figures from someone today. I'll be getting a Roddy Piper 1/3000 Toyfare Exclusive! I'm so psyched!
