**WALL OF TEXT ALERT**
If you take the time to read this, I really appreciate it. I put a lot of thought into the following rant. I feel like I have made some valid points in the chunk of text you are about to read, so please enjoy and I welcome and positive or negative feedback, thanks.
All TNA is doing by bringing in former WWE talent into their company is no different than what WCW did back in the mid 1990's to attract attention. No surprise that it's the same man in charge in TNA that's doing this as it was in WCW back in the day. Eric Bischoff knows how to garner attention, and he's actually doing a good job at it because all of us here, and people on other message boards around the world are talking about TNA and the "crap" that's going on there with Hogan and him now in charge. Whether it's negative or positive publicity, Eric Bischoff is getting TNA noticed and he knows it. Bad publicity is better than no publicity at all.
Every single time TNA references the WWE, it IS free publicity. But it's free publicity that the WWE doesn't need. Vince McMahon has already taken the WWE to the mainstream, and will continue to do so in the future. The WWE Film division is a great example of this. Notice that the WWE NEVER acknowledges or makes reference of TNA at all.
I have a hard time believing that Vince has a stake in TNA because otherwise, the WWE in some way, shape or form would acknowledge TNA's presence because in the end that will bring more money to Vince somehow. The WWE will not give TNA any free publicity until they're forced into it. A great example is back when Raw was a taped broadcast, Eric Bischoff would go on the air on Nitro ten minutes before Raw began and and give away the results of the show. Pure, competitive genius caused the WWE to make bold moves in their company, thus creating a stronger product and gave birth to the Attitude Era.
Seeing as how the WWE is "PG" now and is more mainstream than it has ever been, I'm not sure if TNA making a bold move of their own would make the WWE go back to the Attitude Era, or anything similar to it. The WWE is such a huge entity now that even if it loses some fans to TNA, WWE and all it's resources will still be far too superior for TNA to overtake them.
The WWE isn't a "wrestling" company anymore, they are a sports entertainment company and no one in the world does it better than them. TNA claims that they are in sports entertainment, but watching their program, especially over the last few weeks, leads me to believe that Bischoff and Hogan have their hands full in terms of making positive changes, and getting results.
I completely agree with the point a previous poster made regarding TNA not properly utilizing their talent. Do I think Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Beer Money and others can lead TNA into more prosperous times? Sure. Do I think that TNA has ALL the right pieces to make that happen? No. TNA has the beginnings of a great foundation for success, but at this present time they lack the production quality that to the likes of the WWE and they lack proper writers, those of whom couldn't write their way out of a 4th grade essay homework assignment.
Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff are making moves right now in TNA that aren't pleasing many people. I would go as far to say that more TNA fans right now hate the product that TNA is offering than more are enjoying it. However, WCW didn't beat the WWF/WWE overnight either. It took them years of gathering the proper talent, staff and money to get them where they were at when they were "whoopin' the WWE's candy ass" for 84 consecutive weeks. Give TNA time and have patience, because in 2-3 years, we could all be talking about how Styles has become a 9-time World Heavyweight Champion, rather than talking about a 48 year old Shawn Michaels facing off against a 48 year old Undertaker at Wrestlemania for the million frickin' time.
/rant.
I know that piece of writing came across as being all over the place, it's just that it's 2am and I didn't have the ability to organize my thoughts because I'm dead tired.
Thanks to anyone that put the time in to read that.

First of all thinking Vinny Mac has stake in TNA is ridiculous. He don't want to lose money and that's all TNA does. Second of all when Jerry Jarrett went to WWE headquarters (Which was only to get them to sign Koslov, since Jarrett would get a percentage of the contract) Panda Energy had already taken control of TNA. Jerry had no power in the company. It's just like when everyone screamed OMGZ they have TNA results on WWE.com, it wasn't as big a deal as people made it out to be.
Personally I love TNA, but under the Hogan regime I'm kinda turned off, it's like having a lover for a few years, then they come to you with a penis one day, it's akward and you either have to go with the change or leave, I'm trying to roll with the change. They're trying to use nostalgia to bring in fans (NWO, Sting, Nastys) but at the same time you don't know how long this will go on or where it's leading, they could pop off that penis after a few months and the rewards are worth it. Bischoff is not stupid and neither is Hogan they know what's going on, and they don't cater to the Internet fans past a few insider terms. TNA is getting there highest ratings ever, they got rid of the dead weight like Dutch Mantell and company, and this will catch me heat, but also Cornette. Now I love Corny to death but he's stuck in the 1980s and that don't work anymore. They got rid of that horrible 6 sided ring which was a huge plus, and I think once they get out of the impact zone and the smarks that run it it'll be a lot easier to enjoy the shows, because the truth is that a crowd can ruin a wrestling show, and thats what that crowd has been doing since Jan. 4th. TNA wont go out of business, they are getting higher ratings and making Spike TV happy, they got rid of house shows which were big money losses, and they are hiring established talent at pay per appearance deals. TNA knows what they are doing right now, just give them time.

Before I state my personal opinion about the current state of Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling, I want everyone to know that I am not mindlessly bashing TNA. I do not "hate TNA for the sake of hating TNA". You may disagree with my opinions and that's fine...but please, do not bash my opinions or label me as a "TNA hater". Now with that said... I have always felt that TNA had potential. They certainly have/had a solid group of wrestlers that I felt could one day lead TNA to greatness - AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, Homicide, Motor City Machine Guns - just to name a few. The biggest problem with TNA, in my opinion, is how they decide to showcase their talent. Some of them have been involved in head scratching story lines, some haven't been pushed to their highest potential... On top of that, TNA has added some questionable members to their roster throughout the years. I just want to say that I have NO ISSUE with TNA adding former WWE/WCW/ECW talent to their roster...so long as they are quality wrestlers/managers that can still offer something to their roster, perhaps even make one of their "home grown" wrestlers into bigger stars. When I tuned into iMPACT on January 4, I saw the likes of The Nasty Boys, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Sean Waltman, Mick Foley, and of course Eric Bishoff and Hulk Hogan dominate the show. Basically, after that show was over with, I felt as if I saw an old episode of WCW. There was Eric Bishoff, playing his usual authority role, with Hogan/Hall/Nash/Waltman at his side. All of them were wearing black...let's face it, it was the nWo in TNA. That personally aggravated me because I have seen the nWo more times than I can count in the past decade, both in WCW and WWE. If TNA is truly an alternative to the WWE, then why am I seeing Hogan/Hall/Nash/Bishoff/Waltman prance around like they own the wrestling world? I was cool back in 1997 but it's surely been played out. Then I see The Nasty Boys on my television screen. The NASTY BOYS! Why would anyone thing that the Nasty Boys were relevant enough to bring into this company? Granted, I understand they are Hogan's friends, but still...the Nasty Boys haven't mattered for over a decade or two (closer to two). Then on top of that, we see the TNA debut of Sean Morely in his Val Venis gimmick. Now seeing Val didn't get me as upset as seeing the Nasty Boys, but still. Val Venis doesn't scream "impact". He more or less screams "irrelevant". That's my biggest issue with TNA. They seem to just love bringing in talent that's completely irrelevant and, to be quite frank, boring. Instead of really focusing on pushing their own talent the right way, we have to see Hulk Hogan or The Nasty Boys. The fact that the Nasty Boys are even taking up television time is quite frankly aggravating. couldn't have said it any better.

It's pretty obvious that Shane or Vince has bought TNA. The fans completely had the new set up, plus Hogan and Eric are just ruining it. If Vince didn't buy it, it will just crash.

No doubt Bischoff knows what to do, but he hasnt done a very good job of showing it. I mean what kinda sense would it make to redo something another company did 12 years ago if you keep talkin about change. What good does it do to push all your 50 year old buddies if you want to give the young guys a " rub". Tna has been down this road before. Everythime they do something that resembles the WWE, guess what people think? The WWE! WCW, under Bischoff was never like that...they were original and different with or at least packaged it as such. I think Russo needs to gethis ass outta the way for this company to do anything becasue if he has his hand in anything that's booked, it's gonna fail. TNA got a 1.3 for 2 weeks in a row. They've dont that before without Hogan and bish, so who else are they gonna bring in? Nobody, becasue it hanst/and wont work. People want original and intriguing storylines and characters, not the same thing they can see a couple of channels down.

Before Hogan came in people were loving what TNA was doing, guess what that's Russo booking. I love that people don't realize it was Dutch Mantell doing the crappy booking in TNA not Russo. And who are all the 50 year olds they're pushing? The Nasties I'm sure are just there to have a "dream" match with Team 3D kinda like the Steiners a few years back. Val is the same age as Daniels. OJ and Kennedy are both still young. Nash Hall and Waltman are not being pushed to the top, and are just there for nostalgia.

Moreover, why are we still seeing WWE imitations in TNA. Where exactly is the originality. Nasty boys, Nash, hall. I understand they are part of a storyline, but we've been down this road before with TNA. Tired of seeing the same depush, push scenarios, that ends up getting f'd up somehow and storylines that go no where and make absolutely no sense...so really nothing has changed and that's why the rating is the same. Once people get tired of the stuff it'll drop back down.

Do you sit in the booking comity meetings so you know how the next 6 months is booked? do you? have you watched TNA for the past 6 years and seen the same pattern..ie...everything is going great...ahhh lets frick it up...hey we're pushing Monty Bown becasue he's popular..nope curtain jerk...Joe is popular so let's put the belt on him...Nope...curtain jerk....Let's push the young guys...nope curtain jerk, let's put the titles on all the MEM guys. Let's focus on the x division....nope curtain jerk....... let's keep the champ off our ppv's.. Let's push Aj as a face, nope curtain jerk, let's turn him heel with no apparent reason...Let's push Lashley as the #1 contender...nope...curtain jerk, Let's give Joe the #1 contenders briefcase. Get a good sense of where fans like us are coming from before yu start lecturing us from your soapbox. The reason we are all still here is because we care about the product, otherwise I wouldnt give two rats about it. Some of us are tired of waiting to see TNA get it right, when they should already have it right or at least look like it's goin right with this new regime.
