I have a respectably large Jakks collection and I have a fed. I don't want my collecting to come to such a short stop as I will miss out on some wrestlers I don't have (Sheamus, McIntyre). I don't want to have to rebuy every wrestler I have either. Do the Mattel figures work well with RA. If so, Basics or Elite? Are they to scale with each other? Thanks.

I think Mattel blows Ra out of the water. Mattels have the proper heights as nearly everyone in ra is the same size

Jakks figures are much heavier after holding a Mattel figure. Mattel figures are also much leaner and have skinnier arms and legs so it's going to be strange mixing RA/DA with Basic/Elite.

Jakks Mysterios and Bournes wont mix with Mattel obviously, but others like Big Show and Batista would fit in well.

They seem to work fine together. RAs do anyways. This probably won't help too much, but while I was home on winter break, I took photos of my fed's Royal Rumble(at which time, I only owned a Mattel Kofi): Jakks had a problem with making figures too tall, and for me, that is really the only issue you may run into, the new Jericho figures, Punk's and the figs with tall kickers look a little funny. In some cases figures may look a little off in terms of muscle mass, but I really didn't have a problem mixing and matching. Next time I'm at home I'll try to take some pics for you if your still wondering.

As PJ's pics showed, for the most part Mattel are about the same size as Jakks' RA figures. The DA figure are all at least a head taller than Mattel.

You have a better chance with Mattel and Toybiz's TNA. I can understand people not wanting to start their collections over. I truly do. However, I think 90% of the people will eventually make the change. Some will do it drastically and some will do it very patiently. But if you are a lover of wrestling and wrestling figures, you will eventually feel compelled to buy new product b/c the product you currently have will become completely and utterly outdated and useless. RA figures will become just like BCA and TTL before them and become worth nothing more than $1.00 or less. And eventually, RA will turn like Hasbros did and develop a collector's market where a few of the RARE ones can generate you a few dollars. But I dont think you will ever see the RA figures worth what they were even just a year ago.

That was the cr@ppy Angle from the Toy Biz TNA line. Angle's head on a repainted Rhyno's body. Unfortunately the best Angle also from the Toy Biz TNA line was canceled before it's release.

Toy Biz usually makes great figures, but that thing was hideous from head to toe. The cancelled TNA wave had some good looking Sting, Angle and Hernandez figs too.

Not all of them. The Kip James was a nice figure as was a couple Sting figures. But that unreleased Series 9 (?) Angle was the best looking Angle I had ever seen.

I have worked on my display for years, I have nearly finished it, and will proudly display it, so they are not useless. Of course the value will drop, but I have no plans to sell.

Yeah, you basically have to take it on a figure-by-figure basis. I've found that about half of my Jakks figures are close enough that I have no problem mixing them with my Mattel figures. (Of course, the quality and details of the Mattel figures make them look kinda bad, but that's another issue altogether.) I'm really only mixing classic superstars, and people Mattel isn't likely to make, like putting Lita with the Edge from the TRU exclusive set.

To echo some earlier sentiments, no, they do not mix well at all with RAs or DAs besides bigger guys like Big Show, Taker and Kane. Maybe even Batista and Triple H. Everyone else is too big. Mattel Jericho vs RA Michaels for example looks ridiculous. Don't bother with Jeff Hardy either, bust out the old R3 or your screwed unless you have a wild imagination (which I no longer do. I am greatly bothered by scale inconsistencies). R3's are perfect, though. I even busted out the old R3 Rikishi (one of my all time favorite figures). Its great.
