Pro Wrestling GLOBAL “Inception” opens with a video package focusing in on an empty four sided ring. Lights are shining down from the rafters as several famous sound bytes are played. “My god, he must be broken in half!” - “I only wish, Monsoon were here.” - “Welcome, to Wrestlemania!” amongst others. The lights begin to dim and eventually go fully out, the PWG logo appears on screen before the final sound byte is an original one uttered by upcoming lead commentator for PWG, Jim Cornette. “Tonight, we witness a genesis!” The final shot is of a beautiful gold belt, alone in the ring, draped on the mat. The camera slowly focuses in on the championship as the screen slowly begins to fade.
We cut live to the arena where Jim Cornette and Joey Styles welcome us to the broadcast. The two run over the points system of the company before announcing tonight's main event. A graphic comes up on screen showing that it will be Nigel McGuinness taking on Lance Storm. The familiar theme music of Brian Kendrick hits and he makes his way down to the ring.
The Brian Kendrick vs. PUMA Lock up in the centre of the ring and Kendrick takes the early advantage, pulling PUMA down to the mat with a swift arm drag. PUMA is straight back up and walks into another from Kendrick who this time holds his opponent down with an arm wrench of sorts, pulling at the appendage as the referee asks if he is ready to give it up. PUMA of course refuses and ends up back on his feet, the match continues on in back and forth fashion until PUMA manages to take an apron bound Kendrick out onto the floor with a beautiful calf kick; allowing him to dive to the outside and lay out his foe with a beautiful swan dive senton. Back in the ring and PUMA manages just a two count from “The” Kendrick.
Towards the end of the match, Kendrick is in firm control following a missed 450 splash from PUMA and has his opponent in a camel clutch. Just as it looks like PUMA might of struggled his way towards the ropes, Kendrick begins a flurry of crossface punches causing the referee to begin a 5 count. Kendrick breaks on 4 and begins to dance around the ring, fully aware that he is in control of the bout. Kendrick looks to finish off his opponent with the Sliced Bread #2 but it is reversed. PUMA out of no where then hits Kendrick with a rana sending him shoulder first into the ring post and follows through by rolling him up for the three count as the crowd erupt! Winner: PUMA
PUMA celebrates in the centre of the ring as a dazed Kendrick looks perplexed about what has just happened. Jim Cornette notes that PUMA receives 2 points and is just 3 away from being entered into the tournament to crown the first ever Global Champion! Kendrick isn't happy though and attacks his opponent from behind, laying him out with Sliced Bread #2 in the centre of the ring. Joey Styles says that nobody likes a loser and Kendrick has proven himself as nothing more than one here tonight. Kendrick dances his way up the ramp as the referee checks on PUMA in the centre of the ring, the crowd are not happy.
Backstage, Christy Hemme is standing by with Nigel McGuinness. Hemme asks Nigel how he feels about facing Lance Storm later on tonight. He replies:
“That wanker Lance Storm needs to realise that Nigel McGuinness isn't going to walk out of the first Pro Wrestling GLOBAL show with a loss to his name. Nigel McGuinness isn't about losing, he's about dominating his opponents and proving he is the best. Tonight, Storm will see first hand exactly what I'm about, because when I smash his bloody brains out with my lariat; EVERYONE will be able to see it first hand too.”
McGuinness walks away as Hemme looks on.
The Kings of Wrestling vs. The Young Bucks Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli, although playing the heels were more over with the crowd than Nick and Matt Jackson tonight. Matt and Claudio started things off in the ring with Claudio using his size to gain the advantage in the early going. Matt tried to come back using his lightning quick offence but it was to no avail as The Kings of Wrestling continued to dominate using frequent tags and double team combinations. Several minutes into being controlled, Matt Jackson finally got an opening as Hero missed a rolling elbow and ended up walking straight into a hurricanrana taking him across the ring.
The crowd are starting to get seriously behind The Young Bucks as Matt is inches away from making a tag but it is to no avail as Claudio is legal once again and pulls his opponent across the ring. Several seconds pass before Matt gets another opening as Claudio attempts the Swiss Death but ends up being taken down with a hurricanrana, much like Chris Hero was moments before. This time, Matt is able to make a tag to his brother who enters the ring with lightning ferocity. Nick enters the ring and takes Claudio down with a beautiful arm drag, before knocking Hero off the apron with a leg lariat. Nick continues to stay in control using his high flying offence but things come to a quick end as The Young Bucks go for the “More Bang For Your Buck” but Hero pushes Matt off the top rope after a 450 splash from Nick. Matt crashes into the guard rail at ringside as Hero nails Nick with the Hero's Welcome in the centre of the ring. The referee escorts Hero out of the ring as a beaten down Claudio drapes his arm over the opponent for the 3. Winners: The Kings of Wrestling
Joey Styles mentions that Chris Hero now gains 2 points, as does Claudio Castagnoli. The Kings of Wrestling as a collective unit now have 4 points and are just 6 away from becoming one of the two teams who will enter the PWG Tag Team Championship bout. Hero and Castagnoli celebrate in the ring as a semi recovered Matt checks on his brother in the centre of the ring. The crowd are mixed in their reaction.
Backstage we see an angered Brian Kendrick making his way through the corridors of the building. Kendrick eventually approaches Christy Hemme who is getting ready for an interview, Kendrick says that it is a disgrace that he lost here tonight and that he wants PUMA in the ring; next week. That way, he can get back at least one of those stolen points. Christy seems confused as Kendrick storms off.
The theme music of John Bradshaw Layfield hits and the former WWE Champion makes his way down to the ring to a chorus of boos from the sold out crowd. Layfield takes to a microphone and pauses for a moment, waiting for the crowd to die down -
“I have been through a lot since coming into this business back in 1992, I've seen a lot of men come through locker rooms. Some end up leaving, unable to handle the pressure and some end up like me; a self made millionaire and former World Champion.”
The crowd berate Layfield with a string of boos.
“You can boo me all you want, I have bought myself this time tonight so I'm not going anywhere until I get my moneys worth!”
The boos get louder, a small “You Suck” chant begins.
“Some men just don't have what it takes but that isn't the case when it comes to the newest member of Layfield Incorporated. This man is a former World Tag Team Champion, if even possible he spends more time on Wall Street than me. He has shown the world before that he has unlimited potential and now with the backing of John Bradshaw Layfield, he will fulfil that potential and not only accomplish goals; he will make my investment count. Ladies and gentlemen, the man I call my protege... Robert Roode!”
Roodes theme hits and he makes his way down to the ring, the crowd are mixed in their reaction and it seems like most of the heat is still being directed towards JBL. Roode shakes the hand of his mentor and takes to a microphone himself.
“John, first and foremost I'd like to thank you for this opportunity. I'd also like to thank all the people in attendance here tonight.”
A small cheer erupts.
“For being so ignorant and blind that they couldn't see the potential of Robert Roode themselves!”
The cheer turns into an eruption of boos.
“Tonight, I show the world exactly why JBL invested in me. Tonight, I take the first step towards the Global Championship and tonight, I shut all you doubters up.”
Roode drops the microphone as JBL stands behind him, the two look on at the ramp, eagerly awaiting Roode's opponent for the upcoming singles match.
Elijah Burke vs. Robert Roode w/JBL Roode and Burke lock up in the centre of the ring to start the match, Burke looks to be taking the advantage which causes Roode to break the lock and step back much to the dismay of the crowd in attendance. The two lock up for a second time and this time Roode breaks straight away and hits his opponent with a rake to the eyes, causing him to stagger backwards ever so slightly. Roode takes the firm advantage following this and dominates his opponent with a series of suplexes and knee drops, Roode is working an extremely old school style here tonight; reminiscent of the territory scene back in the day.
Burke regains a slight advantage after Roode misses another knee drop and ends up capitalising with a roll up for a close 2 count. Burke looks to hit his signature Elijah Express but Roode manages to pull away a turnbuckle pad causing Burke to go knee first into the corner of the ring, he cries out in pain as he hits the mat. JBL can be heard screaming “capitalise!!” at ringside as Roode pulls an obviously still in pain Burke up to his feet and connects with the Payoff dead in the centre of the ring for the win. Winner: Robert Roode
JBL raises the hand of his client following the match as the crowd berate the two with a chorus of boos. Joey Styles notes that Robert Roode has now gained 2 points in his impressive debut. Referees check on Burke as we cut backstage.
Christy Hemme is running after someone, it is revealed to be Lance Storm who is about to make his way out to the ring. Hemme asks Storm how he feels about his upcoming bout about Nigel McGuinness who promises to “smash his brains in.” - Storm says that his actions speak louder than words and that he doesn't need to talk himself up. Storm leaves as Joey Styles notes that our last singles match is up next!
Nigel McGuinness vs. Lance Storm A technical showcase in the early going of the match with Lance Storm taking a slight advantage. Nigel however manages to come back and turns the match into more of a straight up brawl before Storm grounds him once again with a beautiful arm drag into a wrench. Both men go back and forth until Storm takes the advantage as Nigel goes for his rebound lariat early on, Lance however thrusts out with a beautiful superkick causing his opponent to roll backwards out of the ring and land on the floor with a hard thud. Storm follows McGuinness to the outside of the ring but it proved to be a mistake as the English thug is laying in wait, eventually laying out his opponent with a beautiful lariat on the outside.
Nigel tries to drag Storm back into the ring and is eventually successful, but gets just a 2 count for his efforts. McGuinness takes firm control of the match for the next couple of minutes as Storm desperately tries to find an opening. Nigel eventually puts Storm up on the top and goes for the Tower of London but the Canadian manages to struggle out and get back down to the apron. Storm tries for the Canadian Maple Leaf but Nigel blocks the attempt and hits his opponent with a series of elbows leaving him leaning against the turnbuckles. Nigel then runs and rebounds back with a beautiful running uppercut causing Storm to fall to mat below, Nigel with a non hooking cover for just a two.
After several more minutes of back and forth, Storm finds a much needed opening when he rolls through into the Canadian Maple Leaf as Nigel was trying for a second rebound lariat. Storm wrenches at the hold in the centre of the ring as the referee asks McGuinness if he wants to give it up. Nigel struggles with all his might and eventually takes it to the ropes, much to the dismay of storm and the crowd in attendance. Storm looks to pull him back into the centre of the ring but is met with a series of boots to the face from the grounded Nigel causing him to stumble backwards, Nigel then approaches after pulling himself up using the ropes and connects with Divorce Court out of no where. Nigel makes the cover, 1...2... and Storm gets the shoulder up! McGuinness is in shock that Storm is continuing to stay alive in this match, it won't be for long however as Nigel stands stagnant as Storm is pulling himself slowly up.
Nigel rebounds back and thrusts forward with a vicious lariat but Storm once again moves out of the way, ducking under. Nigel then turns straight into a superkick from his opponent and both men are now down in the centre of the ring. Both men are slowly up and Storm takes the advantage with a kick to the gut, he looks to follow through with a suplex but after being hoisted up Nigel struggles out and lands on his feet behind Storm. He uses the opportunity to put in a waist lock and pulls back, connecting with a German suplex which goes into the bridging cover for just a two. Both men are visibly getting exhausted as Storm is in control, he looks for a third superkick but Nigel manages to duck and connects out of no where with a vicious lariat in the centre of the ring!
Nigel makes the cover, 1...2... and Storm kicks out! The crowd are shocked that Storm managed to kick out of the lariat and Nigel looks as though he's just seen a ghost. “What are you bloody doing ref?!” he screams as Storm is still recovering. Nigel seems to have snapped, he's had enough and pulls Storm up to his feet and once again connects with a short arm lariat almost taking his head off. Instead of making a cover though, he pulls Storm up once again and leaves his groggy body in the centre of the ring before falling back and connecting with the rebound lariat. He makes the cover for the 3. Winner: Nigel McGuinness
The referee goes to raise the hand of McGuinness but is pushed away. Nigel is barely standing after this hard fought contest as the crowd are mixed in their reaction. Jim Cornette mentions that Nigel McGuinness now has 2 points to his name and could be well on his way to becoming the PWG Global Champion after that impressive showing.
PWG Inception goes off the air with Nigel McGuinness standing tall, taunting the fans in attendance as Lance Storm is slowly but surely regaining his consciousness.
-------------------------------------------
Points Breakdown -
PUMA gains 2 points.
Chris Hero gains 2 points.
Claudio Castagnoli gains 2 points.
Robert Roode gains 2 points.

Nice opening match. I like how Kendrick hit the Slice bread on Puma after the match. Nice job on putting Kendrick over as a heel.
- Very happy to see the Kings of Wrestling pick up the win. Puma and Kendrick again next week should be exciting. Nice way to further their feud.
- JBL and Roode is an awesome pair. Great job on the promo and great win fro Roode. You have alot of potenital with this one if you play your cards right.
- Wow! Impressive match between Mcguiness and Storm. I was pulling for Storm to win, but still a great match.
Overall an enjoyable read. I really like the idea of guys getting points towards the Championship belts everytime they win a match, nice idea. Great job there!

I've not been around long so sorry if this isn't the best of replies. First of all I really like the idea of the points system, that should be good. Good opening match, sounded like the kind of match that would really get an audience hooked, nice to see Kendrick being built up as a heel with the attack on Puma. I must say I've not seen enough McGuiness promos to comment on the promo in terms of how realistic it was but it sounded pretty good. Sounded like a very good tag match and delighted to see The Kings Of Wrestling pick up the win. I'm not really a fan of the Puma v Kendrick match being repeated as soon as next week if it is, seeing as it ended clean and maybe would have liked that to come a little later on, but will no doubt still be a very good match. Loved the JBL promo and it's interesting to see him alongside Roode nice to see Roode pick up the win and hoping you can do good things with him alongside Bradshaw. McGuiness v Storm sounded like a fantastic Main Event nice to see the younger McGuiness pick up the win and hopefully you can build him into one of the top guys on your show. Good read and I'm really looking forward to your next show. Keep it up.

Wow I really like this promotion. From the get-go you have a bad ass logo and fantastic yet simple format. Those are things I can get behind as a reader.
I think you've set yourself up with a great roster. A good mix of top Indy talent as well as former WWE stars as well as some rising stars. Plus any show with Cornette near the mic is good in my books.
JBL and Robert Roode will be a force to be reckonded with. I don't believe that Roode necessarily needs a manager but I dig the alliance the two have. I expect to see them reign hell upon Global.
McGuinness/Storm was a dream match. The semi-retired Storm gave him all he had but McGuinness is one tough bugger. Storm didn't look bad at all as Nigel could barely walk out on his own two feet.
I was a big fan of the opening contest and even bigger fan of PUMA's upset. The WWE definitely slowed down Kendrick and it's hurting him now. PUMA's star could very well be on the rise here.
Kings of Wrestling/Young Bucks was just bloody awesome. My tie for MOTN with McGuinness/Storm. I enjoy the hell out of 3 of 4 of those guys (he's not my Hero), but teaming with Claudio makes him a winner in my book. The Kings looked better than ever and I wouldn't quite count the Bucks out of the tag scene quite yet.
The points system intriques me. It's different and I like it. The show gelled well on many levels and kept me well entertained.
Post another show already!

Yo I'm liking these formats you new guys got going...this one is sick. The points system is a really great idea that I may have to steal for myself some time lol. Puma vs Kendrick is a great match up, glad PUMA won too. I love McGuinness : ) I thank you for using him and putting him in the main event. I forgot about the Kings of Wrestling, I love them! I may have to use them in an upcoming show lol Dont know the Young Bucks tho...Using JBL is interesting, I like that, not a fan of Roode tho, I do like Burke, glad to see him booked, he did lose, but that is a good booking decision to put Roode over, so I liked that. I like Storms words there, made me respect him lol great main event, altho i love Mcguinness, i would have liked to see Storm be put over. out of ps. i may have to ask you to make me some logos sometime lol

I apologize for such a late review. College has really taken over my life and unfortunately booking has been pushed aside. However, better late than never!
Really liked the opening, set a nice tone for the upcoming show. Jim Cornette and Joey Styles is an interesting commentary duo. Cornette and Styles are extremely knowledgeable and offer some keen insights when it comes to the world of professional wrestling. Both are very well known, however, and I could see a bit of a power struggle in the commentary booth.
PUMA vs. Brian Kendrick sounded like one hell of a contest. From a pure booking sense, it’s an excellent match to open up Inception. The aftermath of the match, though, was particularly well done as you’ve opened up a Kendrick/PUMA feud. Can’t wait to see where this leads…
Short but real decent promo from Nigel McGuinness.
Very decent tag team match between The Kings of Wrestling and The Young Bucks. I’ve become a huge Kings of Wrestling fan (thanks J) so them picking up the victory over the Bucks was a big bonus in my book.
Kendrick wants PUMA next week? Maybe too soon for those to wrestle again…
Robert Roode being the protégé of John Bradshaw Layfield is interesting. I think I’m liking it, I think I’m liking it…
Roode wins his match against Elijah Burke, as expected. It’s sad because Burke is a good talent but he never seems to make a big bang in any fantasy wrestling promotion he’s in.
Lance Storm is one of my favorite professional wrestlers of all time.
The main event was really impressive. Lot’s to like about this match: for one, it features two terrific technical wrestlers who’ve deserved better attention then what they’ve gotten (especially Lance Storm). For another thing, you’ve added more detail to the main event match which is something I highly approve of. And thirdly, McGuinness defeating such an impressive veteran as Lance Storm makes for a terrific story.
Great job my friend. Terrific booking, nice match writing. Perhaps you could add more promos and segments but other than that, I am impressed.

Thought I had already reviewed this. Guess I haven't.
already I like your format. A summarized format, where the bulk of what is happening is covered. Very nice.
PUMA vs. Kendrick was a nice opener. a good fast paced match and a great way to set the tone for the company.
I liked the Nigel promo. You're really hammering on the good points of a summarized show.
And the Bucks/KOW match was quite good too.
Roode-Burke was a nice mid card match. I liked it.
And the main event was very very good. I dug that McGuiness got built up early in the show with the promo, then went over in the main event.
All and all it was a good showing. I really like your presentation and the way you've chosen to write your shows. They don't come off as too headstrong, but cover everything that's important and still leave you satisfied. I look forward to seeing more from you.
