I have thought about this just recently but seeing as Hulk Hogan was not quite the wrestler kurt angle or ric flair was but is a big name in wrestling, do you think that in 20-30 years from now, kids that are under the age of 13 that idolize cena will look at him like we do with Hulk Hogan?

Probably, depends on how his career turns out, I can't imagine he'll be nearly as hated as Hogan, he's one of the most unpopular people in Pro Wrestling, I imagine Cena won't be the ego maniac Hogan is so he'll probably be regarded highly as opposed to the way everyone hates Hulk.

The only reason people hate guys like Hogan and Flair is because we're apart of the "mark era" where everyone thinks they know the inner workings of wrestling or that it directly affects them. Was Hogan a dick backstage? Absolutely but so was HBK and you dont see people bitching about him, which of course is very hypocritical.
Will Cena be the new Hogan? Probably not. Hogan is on a level all by himself. There are 3 guys (Hogan, Flair, Austin) that probably will never be touched. Cena might be seen as the next "big" guy but he will never be looked upon in the same light as Hogan or Flair

Yeah, I bet you when he's fifty or so, young punks of that age will be dissing TNA for having old grizzled vets on the roster (an old Cena, Old C.M. Punk, an old Rock will come back, and so on). I can't imagine wrestling then...the Mcmahon grandchildren will be running the empire.

Interesting question, and I'd have to agree with you, I think Cena will possibly be looked at in that light, but of course will compare Hogan's most famous part of his career, the whole 'Hulkamania' craze... Cena not being able to turn heel and be part of something that changed wrestling forever is just one of those things, methinks...

depends if Cena tarnishes his legacy like Hogan has done IMO. I grew up loving Hogan now I can't stand to look at the guy. I think if Cena stays as classy as he is and has a long career he'll be remembered for a long time, maybe not in the same light as Hogan but certainly on the level of say HBK or Taker. But once again depending on how long he stays in the game.

He won't have the hatred Hogan has as Hogan got a lot of that for his backstage attitude, which Cena does not share. Cena is a team player and has an amazing work ethic. As I've said many times before, I'm not a huge fan but the man will always have my respect.

John Cena is today what my era of Bruno Sammartino was.A true gentleman although Sammartino was always a face.
