Germany’s wXw comes to Philly 3/13 featuring US & European stars USA.WXW-Wrestling.comGermany’s Westside Xtreme Wrestling next three action packed weeks will be extremely eventful ON TWO CONTINENTS! First, March 5th-7th, wXw hosts the annual 16 Carat Gold Tournament in Oberhausen, Germany. The 17 participants fighting for the trophy will be: Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli, Ares, Erick Stevens, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Kagetora, Munenori Sawa, Daisuke Sekimoto, Yuji Okabayashi, Johnny Kidd, Martin Stone, Paul Tracey, Big van Walter, Adam Polak, Bad Bones and Tommy End. Also scheduled, wXw World Tag champions The Switchblade Conspiracy (Jon Moxley/Sami Callihan) defend their titles against Up in Smoke (Cheech & Cloudy). Then on Saturday, March 13, wXw travels across the Atlantic Ocean to one of the United States’ most famous wrestling venues – THE ARENA at 7 Ritner ST in Philadelphia, PA, kicking off a day of wrestling action at 2 pm with “The Vision” just before CZW hosts “Walking on Pins and Needles”. wXw brings six of the best European wrestlers to showcase what Westside Xtreme Wrestling is all about. In a “Pain in the Glass Match”, Drake Younger and Thumbtack Jack continue their rivalry, with one win a piece in a SAW Deathmatch and a No Ropes Barbed Wire match in Germany – who will win the tiebreaking match? Chris Hero debuted for wXw in 2002, winning The 2007 16 Carat Gold Tournament and the wXw World Heavyweight Title. Hero will face nemesis B-Boy, who recently lost the CZW World Title to Jon Moxley. Moxley will team with Sami Callihan as The Swithblade Conspiracy, if they still hold the wXw Tag Titles after the 16 Carat Tournament, defend against the American Wolves, Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards, in a first-time ever encounter. Just signed for March 13 is a match between the two cornerstones of wXw as Steve Douglas faces Bad Bones. While some fans may be unfamiliar with these stars, in Europe these two are Main Event regulars and holding a number of championships. Douglas brought “The German Psycho“ Bad Bones into wXw in 2005. But when their alliance broke after a year and a half, these two wrestled brutal matches throughout Europe. After a 10 month run for a title shot, Bad Bones achieved his dream in January 2009 to win the wXw World Heavyweight Title, defeating Douglas in the process. But this is 2010 and Douglas is the champion again. If Douglas can retain his title against Absolute Andy at 16 Carat Gold, the title will be on the line in Philadelphia against Bad Bones! See two of the best from Germany in the last 15 YEARS! wXw will also showcase their recent breakout acquisition TJP! TJP is an outstanding technical wrestler who gets his chance to make an impression in not only his Arena debut, but his first wXw appearance! The last European wrestler for wXw’s “Vision” is the 6'4” Austrian powerhouse Big van Walter. Walter was trained by Tatsuhito Takaiwa and Riki Choshu in the Zero One Dojo and is one of the hardest hitting wrestlers anywhere. In 2008, he teamed with Bad Bones against Kenta Kobashi and Go Shiozaki but lost to Kobashi. But Walter is a changed wrestler, now a part of the viscous Catch Hoolz Faction with the British Kartel and hasn't lost a match in 11 months. Also wrestling on the March 13 wXw event will be former wXw World Champion Alex Shelley, wXw Light Heavyweight champion Zac Sabre, and Eddie Kingston! For all the latest and the newest Shotgun Videocast, visit USA.WXW-Wrestling.com. Tickets: Front Row - $25; Second - $18; G.A. - $10 Catch the latest wXw Shotgun Videocast : . wXw The Vision 13. man, those last 6 names have a number of really interesting matches. If Kingston faces Walter, you've got an amazing strong style match, and 4 great high flyers left over..

I can't wait for this. The card looks awesome. I'd pay the ten bucks for just one of the matches that are high on it.

Just got home, and it was an amazing show. Best part was the Tag Title match, was outstanding. Younger vs. TJ was pretty sick, as expected. B-Boy was sick, so Hero wrestled Shelley, which turned out being a great match also. Plus I got to meet Hero so that was great. Crowd was hot too, it's a real shame CZW can't get people this excited for their shows. If wXw ever comes back to Philly I'll be there in a heartbeat.

He touched my hand *swoon* Younger and TJ was disgusting...but I enjoyed that match the best.... That first match TJP and ummm shoot I can't remember the guys name...was a nice little technical affair...I liked it. Kind of felt bad that Davey Richards spit on that lady...

Yeah Hero was talking to a lot of fans during intermission, so I said hey and got a picture. Awesome dude.
How about Bad Bones trying to be face, botching a table bump, getting sh*t on by the fans, and in return snapping after the match? I don't know if he was just going along with it or was really pissed, but I kind of felt bad for him because the crowd was into him before that.
Loved the random Nick Gage appearance too, and the best surprise of it all, CLAUDIO! Haha.

Kris said he felt bad for Bad Bones...the table botch was really embarrassing. I feel for those fans from Germany. They were already offended by the lack of toilet paper and paper towels in the lady's room. SO I am sure the fans turning on him at the end there didn't add to the wound.
Nick Gage's appearance was so random...and his pants lol he like rolled out of bed and wrestled.
Ah and I do think Claudio was a suitable replacement for B-Boy :-) and when it came down to Hero's match I didn't have to sit there feeling awkward cheering for Hero lol

I thought the WXW show was worth the $10 I paid. I thought a lot of the matches didn't reach their potential with Shelley/Hero sticking out to me most. It could have been much better than it was. Claudio appeared to not even want to wrestle. Kingston moved in slow motion most of the match. It appears he has given up on any form of exercise. The heavyweight title match was fine until the blown table spot. It wasn't nearly as bad as some people are saying it was. It seems like the crowd wanted to see more violence than what people did and it affected how into the matches people were. I don't watch many deathmatches so maybe that is why I liked the main event the most. Best spot was a vertabreaker through glass in the corner.

Claudio I think came off that way because he didn't know until that morning he had to work. Same with Hero and Shelley. Hero showed up expecting to work a totally different match but stuff happens. People have illness that flair up out of no where. For all that happened it was good.

Seriously, I went into the CZW show with no expectations because the card didn't really stand out for me, other than Gage/Moxley, but holy crap was this show awesome. Honestly, I don't know when the last time was that I enjoyed a show THIS much (possibly not since Total Havoc or TOD 8 last year). Every match just flowed extremely well, and I wasn't burnt out during the show at all (even AFTER having been at the entire WXW show). The WXW show was also good times, but I truly think that CZW show was better (which is NOT what I expected). Here's my review: WXW[/u] 1. Zack Sabre Jr. def. TJP to retain the wXw Light Heavyweight title.- Very hard hitting and technical match, totally started the show off in an awesome way. I already think TJP is incredible, and Zack Sabre Jr. definitely impressed me in this one. Just brutal kicks back and forth, and Zack worked TJP's arm in brutal ways, just an awesome match. 2. Big Van Walter def. Eddie Kingston- Awesome match! Big Van Walter is a BEAST and Kingston was just murdered with chops during this. A few mishaps here and there, but other than that this was good times. I'd like to see Big Van Walter back in America again, hopefully for CZW. 3. Nick Gage def. Karten Beck- Seriously, Nick Gage is definitely the most over dude in The Arena in general, regardless of what company that runs there, no one gets a pop like Nick Gage does (believe it or not). The crowd went ing BALLISTIC when Gage's music hit, it was a reaction like no other. He was definitely the most over guy on the show, next to Kingston. Short little match, with Gage just beating the crap out of this guy. 4. The Switchblade Conspiracy def. The American Wolves to retain the wXw Tag Team titles.- Good match! Only bad part of the match (that I remember) is the Powerbomb/Lungblower combo that the American Wolves went for, which ended up with Davey jumping up into the air, hesitating for a second, then falling just, and Eddie powerbombing Sami (or Moxley? I forgot who was taking the move) onto Davey's knees. Davey also spit on some dude in the crowd. Good times. 5. Claudio Castagnoli def. Tommy End- This was just not good. I don't know what happened, but it just seemed like Claudio beat this dude up forever and Tommy got in like, so little offense. At the end, Tommy End was just kicking out of all of Claudio's signature moves and it was just lame, should have ended it with the UFO. 6. Steve Douglas def. Bad Bones to retain the wXw World Heavyweight title.- UGHHHH THIS WAS AWFUL. Seriously, fuuuck this match. I'm all for giving guys chances (I was looking forward to seeing Bad Bones, too!), but holy crap was this bad. It was just so boring, and after the ridiculously bad table spot off the apron (where they just gently fell back and it was just awful), the crowd finally thought "hey this kinda sucks". It should have ended sooner, because it was just ugly. After the match, Bad Bones (WHO CAME OUT WHILE DOUGLAS WAS TRYING TO BURN THE FLAG, TO DEFEND AMERICA!) got on the mic and started crapting on American fans (because it's our fault he sucks i guess) and spit on the American flag and wiped his ass with it and threw it around the ring. Whoever does the airhorn thing, kudos to you, because this dude shouldn't have even went on the mic. Dude got upset because he sucked and we didn't sit there and cheer for it. He even challenged a fan to come into the ring to fight, and was just being a big baby about everything. He even had his mic cut, because he obviously wasn't supposed to do any of this crap. Hope he doesn't come back. I'd like to give Steve Douglas another chance though, because he doesn't seem like he's terrible. But yeah, Bad Bones. 7. Alex Shelley def. Chris Hero- Good match, not really much to say about it, a lot of technical shiz (as would be expected), and Hero killed with his elbow's. Good times. 8. Thumbtack Jack def. Drake Younger in a "Pane in the Glass" deathmatch.- I think this will come off better on DVD than it did at the show. Maybe it was just me, but I just wasn't really into this match, just was kinda..there. I mean, they did some cool spots and all but, I dunno, I just don't remember liking it too much. CZW[/u] A. "Unbreakable" Andy Harner def. Aaron Arbo- Love these guys. Seriously, they need to get thrown into the Jr Division like, now. Or put as a tag team to tear up crap with McBride/Swann, TBA, Macktion, etc, and have AR Fox in the Jr Division. This match was all sorts of fun. The crowd, like the first time these guys showed up in CZW, didn't seem to like them (the side near the bathrooms was chanting BORING 5 seconds into the match, ridiculous). They missed like, one spot the whole match, and then after that it was BANG BANG BANG BANG, just went great and these guys definitely need to come back. I think AR Fox was booked for another show, but I hope CZW can pick him up for the rest of the year. Can't wait to re-watch this on Wired! B. Drew Gulak def. Ruckus via submission after interference from Sabian- RUCKUS came off awesome in this match! I've been sooooo bored of Ruckus lately, he just didn't seem into it anymore, and I don't know what happened but after the last show where he didn't show up, I thought he was done in CZW. But last night, he came out and it was like he was rejuvenated and ready to go. I can't wait to see this on TV again, cause I hope it comes off like it did at the show. C. Alex Colon & LJ Cruz def. DJ Hyde & Greg Excellent- This was eh. The Spanish Armada just..I don't know, I liked them when they first starting teaming but just seem kinda iffy in the ring, not sure what it is. I'm still not too into the Greg/DJ team, probably cause I don't like Greg too much and I'm not a fan of DJ as a face either . D. Tyler Veritas def. Ryan Slater to retain the CZW Wired TV title.- I enjoyed this a lot! I think it was better than the Tyler/Adam matches, to be honest. I've liked Slater even when he was using his EMO gimmick, and it was good to see that he actually came off as a threat to Tyler instead of getting a minute of offense and then getting murdered. I already liked Tyler, but I think this match made him seem more like a champion than 'just a guy with a belt'. 1. Egotistico Fantastico def. Azrieal- Surprisingly good match! I haaaaate Azrieal, but Ego brought out the best in him, it seems. I was iffy on this match going in but they definitely surprised me. 2. Tommy End & Zack Sabre Jr. won a wXw showcase match.- This was alright. I really like Zack Sabre Jr. and Big Van Walter. I'm not sure how likely it is, but I'd really like for both of them to be brought back, they definitely stood out to me more than any of the other WXW guys. This match was alright, would have been better without Tommy End and the other dude. 3. Bandido Jr. def. Scotty Vortekz- SCOTTY VORTEKZ DESERVES BETTER. Scotty is SO under-rated, it's a crime. Give us Scotty/Moxley in a deathmatch or something, or put Scotty in a top feud, give him something other than this. Bandido just hasn't impressed me, granted I haven't seen him anywhere but CZW, but I dunno he just doesn't come off as anything special to me. But yeah, Vortekz's reaction last night was awesome as well, another sign that the crowd is ready to accept him as a top dude, he deserves it at this point. I hope he's in TOD this year as well, and hopefully takes it all cause he's just great. 4. Brain Damage & tHURTeen def. Danny Havoc & The Necro Butcher- THIS was awesome!! It seriously felt like an old CZW match, just a bunch of dudes ing murdering each other. I haven't liked Necro for awhile now (ROH really killed him for me), and I didn't see his match last month, so I haven't really been able to tell if he's changed from how he is in ROH or what, but HOLY crap, it seems like the old Necro is back. Also, BRAIN DAMAGE is a monster!! Dude was murdering Havoc, and at one point Havoc hit him with a forearm and a blood clot just flew out of the ring, ing NASTY. I've been down on Havoc as of late too, but he took a beating in this match as well and gave a beating. I gottah give props to everyone in this match, even tHURTeen who just took a brutal beating of his own. Great brawl, crowd was hot for this. 5. The Best Around def. Ryan McBride & Rich Swann- This was waaaaay better than it should have been! It was probably the best CZW Tag Title defense that TBA has had during their reign (which is sad to say, though their matches with H8 Club were fun too). McBride/Swann (i hate their tag name) are definitely improving every month as a tag team, and it definitely showed in this match, because they stayed with TBA the whole way through and at one point I thought they were actually going to get the belts. 6. Sabian and Adam Cole fought to a 15-minute time limit draw; Sabian retains the CZW Jr. Heavyweight title. After the draw, the bell rang for 5 more minutes, but Sabian fled the scene.- I have to re-watch this when the DVD comes out, because I wasn't paying much attention to it during the show due to shenanigans with friends. From what I saw though, it was good times. The only bad thing about it that I remember was the ending, because they rang the bell for 5 more minutes, and then Sabian left the ring, but Sabato didn't count him out as he left, and everyone just left. Nothing too big but yeah. 7. Eddie Kingston & Drake Younger def. Devon Moore & Drew Blood in a "grudge" match.- This was alright, nothing special. I hate to say it, and I don't mean to come off cruel, but Drew Blood hasn't had a good match since the Best of the Best 9 Accident. He was sooo good when he was facing Pinkie and such, but I don't know, he just isn't good anymore. It sucks . 8. Sami Callihan def. DJ Hyde via submission- Short match, but I liked it! Very hard hitting, crowd seemed to like it. 9. Jon Moxley def. Nick Gage to retain the CZW World Heavyweight title.- BRUTAL match, Moxley was bleeding like crazy. This was just awesome and had the crowd going crazy too. Moxley is a great champ, and Gage is always awesome, so I knew this was going to be awesome from the start. I didn't think that they'd be able to top the Tag Deathmatch from earlier, but I'm pretty sure they did! 10. J.C. Bailey def. Thumbtack Jack in a SICK "Barefoot thumbtacks" deathmatch- WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUCK THIS WAS DISGUSTING. Seriously, it's like crazy to think that each deathmatch on the show was able to top the other, but THIS definitely being the main event was the best idea because holy crap it was GROSS. I thought I saw it all when TJ had a needle stuck in his face at TOD, but you haven't seen anything until you see A NEEDLE HANGING OUT OF THE FRONT OF JC BAILEY'S NECK! Jesus christ. Just disgusting and brutal, and I'm pretty sure that's how TJ wanted to go out from Deathmatches, because it was definitely one of the sickest ones I've seen ever. Thank you, TJ! I definitely recommend picking up these shows on DVD. If you have to pick one, though, go with the CZW show, definitely my favorite of the two shows.

Or put as a tag team to tear up poop with McBride/Swann, TBA, Macktion, etc, and have AR Fox in the Jr Division. I haven't liked Necro for awhile now (ROH really killed him for me), and I didn't see his match last month, so I haven't really been able to tell if he's changed from how he is in ROH or what, but HOLY poop, it seems like the old Necro is back. 10. J.C. Bailey def. Thumbtack Jack in a SICK "Barefoot thumbtacks" deathmatch - WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUCK THIS WAS DISGUSTING. Seriously, it's like crazy to think that each deathmatch on the show was able to top the other, but THIS definitely being the main event was the best idea because holy poop it was GROSS.
If you have to pick one, though, go with the CZW show, definitely my favorite of the two shows.[/quote] I saw the foot pictures....ewwwe....I thought the needle in JC's neck was a nice touch for the match. It was a good send off for TJ
