It's good seeing Mattel release the amount of figures they have and also the speed in which they've done it but, it seems, here in the UK especially, that what's the point of this if we aren't seeing 90% of them? Mania heritage and flex force are the only figures i've found mainly, with the odd scattering of elite series 1 here and there. I've yet to see any of the 2 packs series' or any basic figures in shops like asda and tesco. Maybe I need to go Toys r' Us? The distribution is a bit of a let down but it's forgiveable due to how amazing the figures are!
It's early days yet though.
Does anyone else feel like this or do you think i'm talking poop. Have you seen a good selection of figures where you are?

One would have to wonder, if KB was still in business would they still be the place to pick up figures like the last year and a half to two years before they went out of business. I would find figures there weeks, sometimes even a month before TRU got them in stock. Anyone in the Northeast remember Hills, and after they bought Hills, Ames? Hills was THE place to get WWF figures, no matter who made them, and then Ames.

Just keep checking, tonight my TRU put out series 2 and 3 two-packs and a bunch of basics. Not sure which basics they had and I didn't get any of the series 3 two packs as I passed them up for the new UFC Series 2 and UFC Round 5 figures.

I think Mattel is doing it smart, to be honest. Release a set a few times at a different variety of stores, then be done with it and have the next wave come out. I think that Mattel could and should be producing more though. You do not have to vastly overproduce a line to keep figures on the shelves with any regularity. While Jakks did have some peg-warmers, their figures always sold through well at all stores here in Western New York, and more would show up with practically every shipment. If every store gets 1-2 cases of a set, thats great for the first person or two who finds it, and that's not factoring in the scalper who will buy everything that is new to re-sell. You don't have to double the production run if it would be catastrophic to the line, but how about ship 20% more, or 50%? A stray Ted DiBiase at a Target should not be the only evidence that Elite 2 exists. I'm not surprised though, as it is Mattel, a company that after years in the market still has not figured out how to proportionally distribute figures. I have not seen a DC figure from Wave 10, 11, or 12 in stores, and it really makes me not want to continue with the line.

I have been seeing 11 and 12 being restocked on a regular basis at my local Wal-Mart (Whitehouse Station; Manville has been getting them as well). And 10 turned out to bountiful as well. Let me know what you need, it may be hanging out here. I got the entire Wave 12 set at WM over the past week and it was the third case put out. Before that...2 cases of 11. Thanks I have series 12 preordered with spamS so hopefully they'll get it and it'll ship soon. Today at my local WM...5th case of DCU 12 in 3 weeks.
