Hey,
I'm in the process of converting several of my old WWF Coliseum Video tapes to DVD-R and just converting Hulkamania 4 right now as I write this.
Matter of fact, I'm on a match featuring Hulk Hogan vs. "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase in a Lumberjack match. Surrounding the ring were the likes of Dino Bravo, Boris Zhukov, Nikolai Volkoff, Greg Valentine, Johnny Valiant, Virgil and The Killer Bees to name only a few.
During one part of the match, Hogan gets tossed to the outside and both The Killer Bees gang up and do a number on "The Hulkster".
However, The Killer Bees are wearing their classic Bee masks, as well as their t-shirts and red sweat pants, so you can't really tell if the guys under the masks are "Jumpin" Jim Brunzell and B. Brian Blair.
They actually looked quite a bit bigger than Brunzell and Blair. At the end of the match, Hogan got his hands on one of The Bees and ripped off the mask, but there was another mask on underneath. So, his identity still remained a secret.
Long story short, was it ever revealed that this was Brunzell and Blair under the masks or just two guys posing as The Bees?? Also, was this the only heel appearance of The Killer Bees or did they remain heels after this??
If anyone has more info, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

I vaguely remember hearing about an aborted heel turn for the Killer Bees around that time.
I heard they actually played/teased heel a few times (house shows and such, and possibly also this match you speak of) but they never actually did a big angle to turn them heel on television, and eventually the idea fizzled out. Whether it fizzed due to it being a bad idea or because of a departure, I don't know (Blair did leave the WWF around this time).

This is a mystery because that match originally took place on March12 1988 from the Philadelphia Spectrum. At the start of the match the bees apear to be cheering hogan along with Koko b ware&Sd jones. Then all of a sudden they start attacking hogan,Which is a shock to everyone. The crowd must have been in more shock since the bees were on that card earlier defeating Nikolai Volkoff&Borris Zhukov, who had defeated them earlier that day in Landover,MD during a matinee house show back when wwf would do two some times three shows a day.The two men with the bees masks on were much bigger than brunzell&blair.I don't think it was meant to be a heel turn because the next night in Hamilton,Ontario Volkoff&Zhukov defeated them.I ruled out The Conquistadors cause that night they wrestled The Young Stallions in Chicago.Who the men really were remains a mystery to me!

Interesting. I do think a heel run for them would have been a fresh change. They could easily use the masks as an easy "switch without tagging" move.
But to all of my knowledge they are always a face team.
