With Basic Two packs Series 3 on shelves and Basic 3 hitting shelves. shouldnt we be seeing Protos of Basic 4 and Two Packs Series 4
Basic 4
Dolph Ziggler (Debut Mattel Basic Figure) Goldust (Debut Mattel Basic Figure) HBK (Repaint Mattel basic Figure) Matt Hardy (Debut Mattel Basic Figure) MVP (Debut Mattel Basic Figure) William Regal (Debut Mattel Basic Figure)
Two Packs Series 4
Christian/Tommy Dreamer (Debut Mattel Basic Figures) Hornswoggle/Chavo Guerrero (Repaint and Debut Figures) Tyson Kidd/DH Smith (Debut Mattel Basic Figures)
I forget who is in Elite Series 4
anyone know?
But I am very excited about these protos, considering we are getting a lot of Debut Mattel Figures instead of Repaints already
I keep checking their facebook page, but nothing is updated
wonder when they are coming?

The first we saw of Basic 3 (other than the JTG proto at one of the fairs) was when they turned up in Australia. I like that. I'm hoping the first we see of Basic and Two-Packs 4 is one of the Australian members posting up their new buys.

Series 4 Big Show Kane John Morrison Kofi Kingston Finlay Chris Jericho And I'm not sure if the Basic series 4 HBK is a repaint. I think this is it... So at least it's a new scan.

No clue when the protos will hit but I can't wait for some of these figs. As a person who generally prefers the Elite style there are some figures in these two line ups that I can't see myself passing on. The Hart Dynasty is pretty much a must have.

I hope we never see protos. I like when they just show up in stores, like the old days.

[Old Man Voice] Back in our day wrasslers didn't have that there darn fangled ~actual spam~ heads and and those pictures a head of time and only had 5 points of artic-e-lation and had bones that would go CRUNCH when you moved their joint.[/Old Man Voice] Prototypes started with the later BCA figures so yeah...

No s h i t. I wasn't referring to only wrestling figures. There was a time when photoshopped prototype action figures weren't released on the internet for 12 year olds to bash. And it wasn't that long ago...and it was more fun to see new stuff showing up in stores. But...excellent attempt at being a sarcastic schmuck.

I like seeing the prototype pictures and they can be used for photoshopping so they're nice to have. But yeah when we would just find the figures in stores and not know what they looked like until we saw them was cool, but I think alot of people of gotten used to prototype pics that if we don't have them it's utter chaos, I think once Elite 3 hits stores or get MOC images from ringside the series 4 protos might start popping up on Mattel/WWE's facebook page

I like them but i don't. I like them b/c it gives us an idea of what to expect and what we get. I also like the fact they usually come with a release date instead of just finding stuff. I don't like them b/c sometimes they skimp out on a detail the proto has or they change something about certain figures that you had hopes for.

Oh yeah? Back in my day, our figures had ZERO points of articulation, and instead of seeing other figures from the set on the back of the packaging, you'd have photos of the wrestlers instead.

It might be the way things happen, mattel seems pretty spontaneous with unannounced things popping up so who knows. Im really keen to see Elite 4 Kane and Basics 4 Goldust, particularly goldie. Can you imagine how unreal or should i say real a mattel goldust will look? Its gonna look damn awesome.
