Jim Ross: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the Independence Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina. I'm Jim Ross alongside my broadcast colleague Jesse Ventura. Ric Flair held onto the title at Clash of the Champions.
Jesse Ventura: He certainly did. He outlasted every wrestler on the WCW roster to get the job done. He's the man and he'll be out here a little later to tell you that himself.
Jim Ross: Well that's nice, why don't we just skip the first match and go right to Flair talking.
Jesse Ventura: Well I wouldn't have a problem with that. I could listen to the man talk all day.
Jim Ross: Well unfortunately for you we do have to have some wrestling on a wrestling program, so let's send it up to Gary Michael Cappetta to introduce the first match.
GMC: Now entering the ring, weighing 298 pounds, hailing from Chattanooga, Tennessee, The United States Champion, Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy. His opponent weighing in at 244 pounds, from Chattanooga, Tennessee, "Pistol" Pez Whatley.
Gordy gets the early advantage with a drop kick and a bulldog. He uppercuts Whatley a few times and sticks him between his legs and lifts him up for a powerbomb when Paul Orndorff hits the ring attacking Gordy causing a disqualification. Orndorff stomps on Gordy, picks him up and piledrives him. Orndorff rolls out of the ring, grabs the US title and holds it up smiling.
Jim Ross: I'm standing here at the interview station, please welcome the World Heavyweight Champion, "Nature Boy" Ric Flair.
Ric Flair comes out and joins Jim Ross at the interview station.
Jim Ross: Nature Boy, you won the match at Clash of the Champions, how do you feel?
Ric Flair: Well Jim Ross, I'm feeling great. I have just beaten everybody there is to beat. I've defeated the whole roster, so since there is no competition left, I believe I can just sit back and watch everybody else wrestle and fight for their lives. I have nothing left to prove. You know, I need someone to join me here in WCW. Someone to be with me to watch those wrestlers fight for their lives. If you want to call them a manager, which you undoubtedly will, then fine they are a manager, but to me she is much more than that. WOOOOO.
Jim Ross: She?
Ric Flair: Yes, Ross, she. I know having women around is a strange concept to you, but for the Nature Boy it's a way of life. I would like to introduce her to everyone. Welcome out here the lovely and talented, Woman.
Woman comes out and joins Ric Flair
Ric Flair: Isn't she gorgeous Ross. She's breath taking. She will be at side at all times. And in case you were wondering, she's already ridden Space Mountain. WOOOOO.
Commercial Break
Jim Ross: Welcome back, can you believe that Jesse, Woman, what a derogatory name.
Jesse Ventura: Derogatory? That's what she is. She's a woman and she will be referred to as such.
Jim Ross: Of course you wouldn't find anything wrong with just calling her Woman. How would you like it if I just referred to you as Man?
Jesse Ventura: I wouldn't like it, because I'm not the man, Ric Flair is the man. So you can refer to him as the man and she is the woman, hence her name.
Jim Ross: You're something else Jesse. We have to get our next contest underway.
GMC: Now entering the ring, weighing 225 pounds from San Antonio, Texas, Tully Blanchard. His opponent from Kansas City, Missouri, weighing in at 245 pounds, Harley Race.
Tully started off by kicking Race in the knee a few times sending him to mat where he then dropped a few elbows on Race. He ran off the ropes and hit a knee drop which Race moved out of the way of. When Blanchard got up Race grabbed him and hit a belly to belly suplex. Race then went to the mat and applied a head scissors which Blanchard promptly got to the ropes. Blanchard then swept Race's legs and he fell to the mat. He then finally connected with the knee drop. He picked up Race and tried to hit his finisher the slingshot suplex, but Race blocked him from picking him up. Instead, he suplexed Blanchard and hit a knee drop of his own. He then applied the head scissors again and again Blanchard got to the ropes. Race waited until Blanchard got up, ran at him and hit a high knee strike which dazed him. Race put Blanchard between his legs and piledrived him. He went for the cover and got the three.
Jim Ross: It is now time for our main event.
GMC: In the ring at this time, weighing in at 255 pounds from Rome, Georgia, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson along side him is his manager, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. And his opponent, weighing 302 pounds, from Austin, Texas, Dusty Rhodes.
Arn and Dusty start with a lock up and Dusty gets the advantage throwing Arn into the corner. Dusty goes on the offensive. Getting in moves like rights and lefts and suplexes before Arn gets the upper hand after Dusty tries for a clothesline but Arn ducked it. Arn unleashed a fury of suplexes and even a brain buster. Anderson threw Dusty off the ropes, grabbed him and hit a spinebuster and covered Dusty for the three.
Jim Ross: Well we are back, I don't know why. We had our main event, so the show is over. I guess we are ending early folks.
He's American Made. He's got the Red, White and Blue running through his veins.
Hulk Hogan walks out and the fans go absolutely nuts.
Jim Ross: OH MY GOD, IT'S HULK HOGAN! The arena has exploded and blown the roof off this joint.
He's donning the Red and Yellow and he gets in the ring and has a mic in his hand.
Hulk Hogan: You know something brothers it's nice to be here in WCW. I'm going to cut to the chase, in my contract I have a guaranteed World Title shot. So Ric Flair get out here right now.
Ric Flair and Woman come out
Ric Flair: It would have been nice if Eric Bischoff or Larry Zbyszko informed me that you were coming. I am the World champion after all, I deserve to know these things. I'm not going to fight you tonight, because well, I don't have to. It says in my contract that I only fight when I want to fight. I'll face you at our next Pay Per View, Spring Stampede. But I will not fight you before then.
Hulk Hogan: Well brother, I'll take you up on that match at Spring Stampede. Every day until I get the title, I will train, say my prayers, eat my vitamins and I'll be true to myself and my country, because I am a real American and I will be World Champion, brother.
Ric Flair: Oh will you stop with your nonsense. Say your prayers, eat your vitamins. What a crock. I don't do either of those things and I'm World Champion, so I guess that goes to show you that I can do it all and be the exact opposite of you brother.
Hulk Hogan: It's not a crock, Flair. It's a way of life and I do it every day and so do all my Hulkamaniacs.
Ric Flair: You know what's a way of life. Being a limousine riding, jet flying, kiss stealing, wheeling dealing son of a gun. That is my life Hogan and there is no better way to live. All my Flairamanics know that.
Hulk Hogan: Well my Hulkamaniacs will crush your Flairamaniacs and we will become the greatest world champion in the history of WCW. And I don't need any good time girls at my side to do it. But to make sure your gal doesn't get involved, I'm going to find my own woman, a pure woman, to stand up to yours and we will reign supreme over the WCW.
Flair starts laughing and Woman gets in the ring and stares down Hogan. She slaps him and Flair laughs even more. She gets out of the ring and they start walking to the back. Flair waves at Hogan and they disappear to the back and the show fades to black.
Jesse Ventura: He certainly did. He outlasted every wrestler on the WCW roster to get the job done. He's the man and he'll be out here a little later to tell you that himself.
