With TNA coming out soon, I decided to make some room for them on one of my bookcase shelves and I also made a raw and sd shelf and I saw that I only have 10 current guys and 8 SD guys.So to me it's always been about who I have and if the figure actually looks like the wrestler, not necessarily if the figure is life like. so in conclusion I have 16 current WWE guys (RA and DA) and I have over 150 classics.
what do you guiys mainly collect?

I collect Jakks UFC guys, anyone i like, or if thier fig looks cool
I also Collect DA's. I pick and choose guys who I was a big fan of (so a lot of wcw guys and atitude era guys), or who I want to use in my pic fed
i'm a lot more selective than I used to be
I went with the DA's because i want sting, and aj, and i like having them the same style as my ufc figs
also, I am familer with jakks bodies for customs
Mattel has great figs, but these are the reasons i went with Jakks

i collect what looks good. i've tried breaking down shelves into RAW SD and ECW but when i get more figures they all get mixed in with eachother because of display problems.

I only collect Jakks classics. I suspect that will continue with the LOTR line and maybe some TNA that would fit in with the line.
I just can't get into Mattel. Nothing against those who like them but I think the seem too skinny, too cartoonish and do not appeal to me. I can't even get excited for the Mattel CS line. I honestly don't know if I will get any of them.

well I somewhat agree, they are realistic compared to jakks but the playability/movement sucks. just so stiff and I HATE how close the legs are together, it's irritating. RA figures at least were spread out a bit. but yeah I collect based on the wrestler and who I think will be good for my fig fed.

I make my collection resemble myself, as in i only but the figures of wrestlers in the era i liked them in or if i think its a good figure, if not it sits in my crowd

I collect RA figs mainly (250+). I got into Mattel, but just basics. I also have about 20 DAs, and I love them, so I don't see the point in getting Mattel Elites.

Personally I'm really unimpressed with the Metal figures. The faces just look very poorly done. Its probably at least as much pant work as sculpting. I guess I'm just fine taking this as a reason to stop collecting. I've amassed a huge collection I feel like I'll never do anything with. Why try to start over with a whole new style of figure, I guess. I'm waiting for a Chris Jericho elite to at least sample and I'll probably pick up some TNA figures, but I'm fine saving my money at this point. I've collected for over 10 years and have WAY too many figures for my own good. All loose and some in deteriorating condition just from storage, too. I have no clue when I'll be in a position to organize and display them the way I'd like. My best hope is that Mattel will make a ring or playset that I'll like that would work with Jakks figures.

When the new lines finally start, my collecting preferences will be as follows: 1) Jakks UFC, 2) Jakks TNA (deluxe) 3) Jakks LOTR 4) AAA USA 5) Jakks RA (any TNA figures they might make and the odd WWE figure I missed or may just pick up to customize) 6) Mattel WWE (yes, I may buy Steamboat or Funk, depending upon how they look next to Jakks RA figures, MOC, etc. or somebody else. But it also depends on pricing and what else I've bought that month.)

Pretty much just Mattel figures now. The only figures I really hardcore collected of Jakks were Build and Brawls. I've got a few hundred BCA/TTL/R3/RA figures, but I'm not a huge fan of them. I love the Mattel figures though, they look so much better and I don't really play with them but I had a little Orton vs DiBiase match the other day and they play a lot better than Jakks ones for me.

I notiiced many of the Mattel headsculpts are redo's or copied from old Jakk's sculpts.
Their CM punk & deluxe(Elite?) Edge strikingly so. As well as their HHH.
I think they went 20 to 30 years backwards as far as quality goes compared to anything Jakk's produces.
You just can't beat a real scan figure. I've been buying Jakks since 1996.
Not one mattel figure has made me go,"oh I gotta get that!'
I may get the Ricky Steamboat though & the Rick Rude. simply because they've never really been done properly in any figure form.

I started buying RA figs as wanted a RSR - my latest pickup thanks to a friend visiting New York (I live in the UK) is a CS1 re-issue Andre the Giant and he is stood in the kitchen currently. And pleased with him as a good price...

I collect guys I like and try and have one of each guy that has lots of cool attires or a cool gimmick or can really work. Hence I have tons of Jerichos. Or atleast compared too others. I really didn't start collecting collecting until mattel came out. Although had been trying since ufc came out. I am trying too get lots of ufc guys, lots of jerichos, lots of classics that I like, and lots of my favs in mattel form. I do have a fig fed and thats where most of my money goes. So TNA will be top priority. ;D
