- We kick off
Monday Night RAW tonight with the opening vignette that opens up all forms of WWE programming. Following this was a video package set to the sound of 'Crack Addict' by Limp Bizkit, showcasing the RAW side of occurences from WrestleMania XIX last night, and what a phenomenal night that was! It highlights Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho's classic, as well as The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin's historic conflict; but on top of that, it showed us Triple H defeating Booker T to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.
- The opening video package to RAW airs, as we go to the live Key Arena for RAW in Seattle, Washington! Pyrotechnics go off as Jim Ross and Jerry 'King' Lawler introduce us to the program as they recap last night being such a historic and eventful night in professional wrestling history; also mentioning Hulk Hogan beating Vince McMahon on SmackDown!, but then moving on to discuss tonight's edition of RAW, set to feature The Rock having an appreciation night to celebrate his win over Stone Cold Steve Austin!
- We cut to the arena as the glass shattered, and the 'Texas Rattlesnake' kicked off this edition of RAW following WrestleMania!
Stone Cold Steve Austin walked down to the ring to an amazing ovation from the crowd, as Austin got an 'Austin' chant going for his effort the previous night against The Rock. Austin talked about how he's been such a hard working performer in this business, and he's been given so much by the WWE and the WWE audience. Austin mentions that last night, he fought The Rock with a back that was falling apart and that Rock won because of that fact! Austin told the fans that Rock can have his cake, but Austin will be the one getting one over on Rock before tonight's over and done with! Stone Cold mentions that he unfortunately cannot continue competing. This got many boos from the crowd, as Austin told everybody that he's came out to the fans and given them beer bashes, hell raising riots and chaos weekly on Monday nights, but his time for competition is near the end. Austin tells everybody that he's not done being on WWE television, because he'll still be around to raise hell and kick somebody's ass at instance!
- Suddenly, though, the theme of
Evolution hit, Triple H being led out by Ric Flair as the crowd immediately booed. Ric Flair got on the microphone and asked what a hasbeen like Stone Cold was doing in the ring. Austin joked, telling Flair he was about to say the same thing to him. Triple H tells Austin that he's had enough, and he lost last night and of all the things they've been through there's one difference: Triple H is a winner! Austin challeges Triple H to get in the ring right now then, because it'd be a pleasure to kick his ass!
- Triple H unbuttoned his shirt and handed his World Heavyweight Championship to Ric Flair as he got in the ring and traded blows with Stone Cold Steve Austin; the two Attitue Era long rivals trading blows here on RAW! Suddenly, though, about six or seven security guards ran to the ring! They all restrained Austin from Triple H, as Austin was livid, wanting to jump Triple H! Suddenly, Flair got into the ring and swiftly slammed the title belt into the skull of Austin! Triple H got off of security as the two members of Evolution pounded at Austin, leaving him a bloody mess on the canvas! The World Heavyweight Champion stood tall!
Commercial Break
- We go to the office of RAW General Manager, Eric Bischoff as he was seated watching the beatdown of Stone Cold Steve Austin by Triple H and Ric Flair moments ago, laughing his ass off! Bischoff was then interrupted by the knock on the door as Triple H and Ric Flair came strutting in, in celebration of defeating Booker T last night and Stone Cold Steve Austin tonight! The two were kidding around as Bischoff was so glad that Triple H and Flair did that; noting it as the best thing Flair has done for him! Bischoff tells Hunter that he's going to reward him by giving Triple H a match tonight against... Jeff Hardy! Triple H laughs, telling him it'll be a good one.
-
Rob Van Dam defeated Rosey with Jamal and Rico at 5:39. Nothing too bad to kick off RAW tonight, as Rob Van Dam was in there to get retribution and let off some steam after not only being dropped from the WrestleMania XIX card for Sunday Night Heat, but also losing with Kane to Chief Morley and Lance Storm. Rob Van Dam and Rosey put on a nice showing, as Rosey tried using his size as an advantage. Jamal and Rico also got involved, but Kane soon arrived and took out both of the Three Minute Warning interference. RVD kicked Rosey in the head and nailed the Five-Star Frog Splash for the win!

-
Rob Van Dam celebrated his victory over Rosey as Kane got into the ring and raised him on his shoulders. Jamal and Rosey soon hijacked, however, but RVD and Kane took Jamal out! Rosey got kicked in the head by RVD, as the 'Big Red Machine' delivered a Chokeslam to Jamal, Three Minute Warning left on the outside! The Dudley Boyz were shown on the rampway, cracking their knuckles.
Commercial Break
- We go to Terri in the backstage area as she was standing by with the Dudley Boyz. D-Von and Bubba Ray were asked about last night, in getting involved with Chief Morley and Lance Storm's battle against Rob Van Dam and Kane as Bubba mentioned that they are simply just associated with Eric Bischoff, and hence when they were needed, they got involved with business. D-Von and Bubba were soon confronted by Chief Morley and Lance Storm, as the World Tag Team Champions told the Dudleys that Kane is meant to be facing Morley on Sunday Night Heat, but he wants both Dudleys to fight Kane instead. Bubba and D-Von look puzzled, as D-Von gets angry after the champs leave; Bubba reassuring D-Von.
- We go to the arena as the sound of Harvard music is playing, and
Christopher Howinski is in the ring, a plastic mask protecting his previously broken nose. Nowinski mentions that no other man has intellegence like his; when it was announced last night at WrestleMania XIX last night that there were 54,097 fans in Safeco Fields, it was from HIM! Nowinski tells the fans to honor his greatness, because from here he is out to impress the nation! Suddenly, the theme of
Scott Steiner hits, and 'Big Poppa Pump' comes out not in too happy a mood it seems. Nowinski yells repeatedly to watch the face...
-
Christopher Nowinski defeated Scott Steiner by disqualification at 3:00. This one didn't take too long at all. Scott Steiner, as previously noted was not in a good mood, and this was so evident here as Christopher Nowinski attempted to get in shots on 'Big Poppa Pump', but Steiner absorbed them and proceeded to suplex Nowinski around the ring! Steiner didn't taunt, instead he tore off the plastic shield covering the face of Nowinski and pounded on his face, not giving him air and getting himself disqualified!

-
Scott Steiner continues his beatdown after the bell sounds, as the crowd cheered 'Big Poppa Pump' on, applying the Steiner Recliner on a wriving Christopher Nowinski! Nowinski screams for mercy as the official tries to tear Steiner off of him!
- A white limousine pulls up, as the crowd are in anticipation for The Rock, and his appreciation night in Seattle is coming up tonight!
Commercial Break
- We go to the backstage locker room as Booker T was shown jumping up and down, Shawn Michaels confronting him, as Shawn reminds him that last night wasn't so great for either of him. Booker acted obnoxiously, telling HBK that at least he won. Shawn told Booker that maybe he did win, but he wasn't given respect. Booker was given respect by the crowd for his tenacity. Booker acts modestly as Shawn tells Booker that tonight, Booker has chance for revenge against Ric Flair. HBK wishes him luck and that he'll have his back if needed. Booker refuses, as Shawn leaves.
- We cut to the parking lot as Chris Jericho is arriving, and it seems as though Y2J will be addressing the audience of Seattle tonight, after the classic showcase between Y2J and Shawn Michaels last night at WrestleMania XIX.
-
Triple H defeated Jeff Hardy in a non-title match at 6:31. A predictable outcome in this one, but it was a very good effort by Maven for what it was. Everybody expected for Triple H to simply kick Jeff's ass and that be it, but Maven refused to go down. Hardy pounded at Triple H and almost stole a victory on few occasions, using his aerial fanatics to take the control against the 'Cerebral Assassin', whom underestimated the tactics of Hardy. In fact, Triple H has already kicked ass tonight, but this was extra. Jeff soon missed the Swanton Bomb, and Triple H planted a Pedigree for the win.

-
Triple H celebrated his victory as the crowd booed, the World Heavyweight Champion growling over the semi-conscious Jeff Hardy.
Commercial Break
- An advertisement appeared, promoting the next time WWE will be on pay-per-view, Backlash; live on pay-per-view on Sunday 27th April 2003 from Worcester, Massachusetts.
- We return to the live arena as the countdown begins, and pyrotechnics signal the appearance of
Chris Jericho! The crowd boo as Y2J appears from the backstage area, Y2J wandering down the rampway and climbing into the ring. Jericho thanks everybody for their disrespect in a mocking tone, yelling for their boos to hit him like a cat on a highway! Y2J mentions that last night, maybe he did have an epic match with Shawn Michaels, the man he's studied all his life to base himself after, but he left himself unsatisfied. He didn't mind the loss, just he felt he needed more. He wanted more of the 'Heartbreak Kid'. And the low blow after the bell symbolized that. Jericho tells the production workers in the truck to air the low blow again, and we begin to watch it, and Y2J narrates it by showing HBK has signs of hope for their friendship in the future...but boom! A low blow stopped it. Jericho makes us watch it again and again until the theme of
Shawn Michaels hit!
- HBK walked out to the arena to a good reaction, Michaels not looking too happy as Shawn told Jericho that he did in fact get the better of the 'Heartbreak Kid' last night at WrestleMania XIX. But that does not stop the fact that Chris Jericho disrespected him, and he wants revenge. HBK tells Y2J that if he wants a rematch, he will give him one; only one thing: it has to be the way Jericho made it! That means no disqualification, no count-outs, Jericho did it now and HBK wants to shoot him down! Y2J however, abruptly refuses! Jericho smirks as he slowly leaves, heading back up the rampway as Shawn is left in the ring, an angry look on his face!
Commercial Break
- We cut to the live arena as
Trish Stratus' theme was playing, and the new WWE Womens Champion, Trish was making her way to ringside, where she sat along with JR and The King for this next match up.
-
Jazz defeated Jacqueline at 4:33. Not a bad divas match actually, as Jazz was coming off of a loss in the triple threat match for the WWE Womens Championship last night at WrestleMania XIX and was looking for retribution in this battle with Jacqueline. And the bitch was back, and the bitch was black in Jacqueline, as Jackie took nothing from Jazz and fired back at Jazz whenever it came chance to. However, suddenly Theodore Long appeared, prevented a tornado DDT, Jackie knocked him off the apron and Jazz nailed the Fisherman buster for the win!
**1/4
-
Jazz celebrated her victory with Theodore Long, as it was strange what had just prevailed here with Teddy Long coming to Jazz's aid! Trish Stratus got into the ring as the WWE Womens Champion attended to the fallen Jacqueline.
- We cut to the backstage area as Triple H was heading out to his limousine with the World Heavyweight Championship on his shoulder, obviously going to somehow avoid confrontation with Booker T after what happened at WrestleMania XIX, but suddenly Stone Cold Steve Austin jumped him! Just like back in 1999, Austin laid Triple H out, firing away at him and then tossing him over the windshield of his limousine! Austin delivered a harsh spinebuster on the 'Cerebral Assassin', right onto the windshield of his limousine as Austin had a band-aid on his forehead! Austin smirked sadistically before leaving.
Commercial Break- Another advertisement for The Rock's Appreciation Night airs, promoting Rock's celebratory promo tonight on RAW after beating Stone Cold Steve Austin last night!
- We cut to the backstage area as Eric Bischoff is shown walking down a corridor, a disgusted look on his face. He sees Stacy Keibler and glares at her, then looks at Test by her side and demands him to tell him where Stone Cold Steve Austin is now. Test says he doesn't know as a screech is heard. Goldust, stuttering, tells Bischoff where Austin is as Bischoff is chasing the 'Texas Rattlesnake' now!
-
Booker T defeated Ric Flair at 9:18. This was a very nice main event to RAW tonight, as the 'Nature Boy's ego was riding high following Triple H's victory at WrestleMania XIX last night against Booker T. Unfortunately for Ric, this only frustrated Booker, as he was rabid and he went straight after the guy that cost him victory and the World Heavyweight Championship on numerous occasions the night prior. Flair kept stopping for breathers, but there was no savior for the 'Nature Boy'. Plus, with Shawn Michaels' words in his head from earlier tonight, it seemed like Booker was trying to shun what was said from his head. Flair went after the leg, but in the end, the Book-End put Flair down for the count!
**3/4
-
Booker T celebrated his win over Ric Flair, as Booker could very well be back on his road to the World Heavyweight Championship! Booker grabbed a microphone after his victory and began to talk about how last night, he wasn't exactly given fair treatment, what with Ric Flair around and all. Booker demands a rematch with Triple H at Backlash, otherwise, Booker says goodbye to the audience, and all of the audience will vent their frustration on Eric Bischoff! Booker leaves.
- We return to the backstage area as Stone Cold Steve Austin was outside sipping a beer as Eric Bischoff shoved open the door by the side of him, the RAW general manager getting in Austin's face and telling Austin that the 'Texas Rattlesnake' went too far! Bischoff told Austin that he was fired and he would not be able to appear on television ever ever again as long as he is still breathing! Austin continues to drink, then looks at Bischoff without saying a word...and Austin lays out Bischoff before walking away! Goodbye Stone Cold!
Commercial Break
The Rock's theme hit as the crowd suddenly booed for the arrival of the Great One, the Brahma Bull making his way out after the opening montage. Rock motioned with his fingers as he walked that he was 1-3 against Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania, and he succeeded in dominating Austin last night. Rock grabbed a microphone as a red carpet was laid out, and talked about how he was glad to be back in Seattle because of the musical industry made in Seattle. Rock mentioned himself though, among the greats to come out of Seattle, for defeating Stone Cold, and then causing Austin to announce his retirement the very next night on RAW! Rock tells everybody how it's great to be The Rock, but now, it seems as though there is nothing else to do. He's beaten Triple H, Booker T, Ric Flair, Kurt Angle, The Undertaker, Kane, Rob Van Dam. The list goes on and on, but he has achieved it and he has done everything there is to do. Beat Stone Cold. Won the WWE Championship countless times, and won the hearts of the millions and millions of supporters worldwide. Rock told everybody that he planned to announce his retirement from wrestling, due to having done everything with nothing else to do now. Suddenly, though, a
familiar theme hit! Pyrotechnics exploded as the crowd erupted, a bald man with a goatee stepping out onto the rampway. The fans chanted his name as the beast stormed to the ring; Rock getting on the defensive! Rock charged at the man, but he speared him out of his boots! Goldberg! Goldberg is here, and he took out The Rock! Rock is left on the canvas as Goldberg roars for the capacity crowd, RAW going off the air!
