Just thought this would be a decent topic for discussion.
Obviously as the years go by our interests and friends change. We're not the same person at 25 that we were at 20, or at 15, or at 10. But generally we all have a core set of beliefs, of right and wrong. Do you believe those who have done a lion's share of wrong or harmful things can ever really change their ways, or are they destined to forever be that same person underneath it all?

people do change their ways, sometimes by choice sometimes by force. an example is cheating.

Yeah I think the first to post on this topic pretty much summed it up.

People can change. The real shame is that most people never do. I have two brothers, both of whom are over the age of thirty, that are still depending on my mother more than I am(at 21). It was like that when they were teenagers, it was like that when they were in their 20s, and it's like that now in their 30s. Sad really. Especially you don't see any change in the forseeable future.
But yeah, as said before, people are only really gonna change when and if they want to. I know it's an age old expression, but for the most part, it still holds true: "Once a _____, always a _______."

In my experience, with the contact with different people I'm come across, I don't believe so, but a life-altering experience can bring some change about, but in the end it all depends on what the individual makes of that experience.
For example: I have depression, and despite being on medication and having talks with a psychologist, on the whole I don't really feel like I have changed, like anything is different. People I deal with may notice something about me, but as for me inwardly, I guess not. I have to get past a certain point to change (always for the better) but I can't seem to do it. The onus then is on me. As for other people in other situations, anything's possible...

I think Everyone Can shange on the outside and have a Good Shell at that for thw world to see. They can only go back to how they were if pushed too like someone from there past was there to make them change or someone pissed them off to much.So like Mr.Rogers woudl become Dirty R from the war and snap the dude from across the streets arm cause his dog kept craping on his lawn.I think a history of violence shows people can change but 0ther might force them to go back to how they were

Defiantly... I'm in my mid 30's now and I have changed a ton since my early-mid 20's.. I think the older you get the more wiser you get, there is "types" of people and ideas I enjoyed when I was younger and nowadays I would never acknowledge those people or ideas. You learn that you don't know everything and your more open to opinions and views from others. I do have short term memory loss so I'm fortunate to not have too many regrets thankfully but the many things I do remember that I regret bother me to this day.... I think everyone changes when they look back at their past, some for good and some for the worse... I don't mean regrets either I mean just the general view on life and people.........
