Seems as if either intentionally or not, TNA felt he wasnt quite primed and didnt really push him much this past month...his time may be now though. Personally, I think if they build pope up for his match at Lockdown, then I'd be ok with him being champion. The only thing is, where does that put guys like Jeff, RVD, Angle, Anderson

Of course he is ready! Great character in and outside the ring!!! As far as the other guys go... I think they will be feuds among them .... I do believe if pope wins AJ will have a rematch...then who knows what happens from there

I say no. He's over, and arguably above-average in the ring, but he's brutal to listen to on the mic and to me still has the stench of a WWE reject getting a push just because that's what he is. I don't think he has enough credibility or name value to be the proper draw as champ.

Yeah. He's ready, in my opinion. He was alright when he was in the WWE, but he got better when he went to TNA.

i think hes ready but wat id like to see is for him to come close and to just miss getting the title. do this maybe twice then on his third attempt finally have him win it. i feel like pope became #1 contender, started to work with aj, then out of no where started to work with wolfe while aj worked with abyss, then now hes going back to work with aj. bot he and aj are young and talented so i think they should have the rivalry go on for a few months. maybe even let it go for 5 or 6 months and let it get really hot. the thing thats working against him tho is that tna seems to be the kind of place where they r out to sign big stars who are thrown straight into the main event which pushes down the guys that have been working hard in tna for a while. i could also do without the way pope talks. it gets kind of annoying wen everytime he talks it sounds like hes making some kind of proclamation. i think if he had stayed in wwe he would be finding the same success it just would have taken longer. a lot of people say he was misused in wwe but i disagree. i feel like he was used just like hes being used now except in wwe he was a little fish in a big pond and in tna hes a big fish in a small pond

Damn the IWC has a major boner for The Pope. I just can't get into him other than his finisher. I wish it was someone else that was getting his push. Heel or face I just don't care for him. Oh well, I guess it could be worse, it could be Kofi Kingston getting a world title.

He is a charasmatic as the rock I dig Pope, I like his style, and I think with the proper push he'd be a great champ...but if he has any downfall it's his mic skills... comparing him to The Rock on the mic is wrestling blasphemy. That said, I hope he wins in April.

I always liked him and thought he deserved more than he got WWE. So yeah, I just wish he could win a high profiled match with out using the short package.

I'd like it I'm tired of the Carbon Copy of Ric Flair.

He is never going to get over.TNA is just trying to make him their version of The Rock. It's the pope this, and the pope that, just like The Rock used to do.Not original gimmick at all, just a blatant ripoff that will only go over and work one time only.

I think he's ready but I feel he could still use a little more buildup tbh. But right now I think it would be fresh cause Styles is starting to get a little old. To me I just wonder if it is to soon. It seemed like they dropped the ball with Samoa Joe when his time came, but I wonder if they are dropping the ball to early this time.

Of course he's ready, he's super talented and super over. that said, I'm still not sure I want to see him get the belt yet. Only because AJ having it is working so well right now. But in the end I'll be happy with either of them.

Comparing the two on the mic is one of the dumbest things I've read on here.

Not at all. I mean, I don't like AJ Styles, but if it's a choice between him and Pope; AJ wins out every time.
