P.S. - anyone who starts bashing Shawn in here and then gets butt hurt because they get beratted should STFU. This clearly states this is his farewell thread. Save Shawn bashing for elsewhere.
I don't agree with everything Michaels did, but there is a time and place to discuss that.
In here, we just say farewell to a legend, regardless of personal feelings.
And if your personal feelings don't allow you to do so, then don't post.

HBK is my all time favorite wrestler. Hands down. He is not Mr. Wrestlemania for nothing. Best all around performer in the ring. I feel very fortunate to have seen him perform in the ring many times. I feel very fortunate to have met him twice and get a photo with him. He is a great guy. I think it is wonderful to have seen him mature over the years and see him turn his life over to Jesus Christ and become a wonderful family man. He inspired me to have Jesus in my life and I will always be grateful to him. I will certainly miss him. I wish him the best in whatever he does in the future.
Thanks Shawn for the great memories and matches. Good luck and God Bless

This sucks. He is my all-time favorite wrestler, he was the main inspiration to me growing my hair out after high school. Great in-ring performer. It's only a shame that I hadn't got to see him perform live one last time.

Damn, it's a shame. He was one of my favourites and he always put on such a show. Probably one of the best of all time. Farewell Shawn.

Shawn is my favorite of all time, as much as I thought I would be bumed, I'm not. I guess because being there really made it special, and I know it's what he wanted.

I've been a Shawn Michaels fan for 23 of my 25 years on this Earth. I started getting into wrestling at 2, and the first thing I started watching was the AWA. I've been a Shawn Michaels fan ever since.
My favorite HBK story was in 2004-2005. In November of 2004, I met Shawn at a sports show at the I-X Center in Cleveland (photo in Sig). I told him at that time how long I had been a fan of his. He seemed genuinely touched, and thanked me for being a fan. He signed my CS 1 figure, and I was on my way.
Move ahead to August 2005. I went to a Raw house show in Youngstown, sitting second row. The main event that night was Edge vs Shawn. Shawn wins, and is walking around the ring giving fives to the fans. I move forward, and stretch my hand out. He walks by, hits my hand, then, as I go to walk away, he grabs it. I stop, and turn, and he's smiling at me.
Shawn: "You're the guy I met at the I-X Center last year, right?" Me: "Yeah, I was there." Shawn: "Guess this makes 18 years now. Good to see you again. Thanks for coming out."
I will remember that moment forever. It made me feel like he genuinely cared about his fans. I count my blessings I got to meet him, and see him wrestle live numerous times.
Last night, he truly lived up to his nickname. I definitely was heart broken.

Unfortunately something came up and I couldn't watch Mania but I will definitely be getting it in Blu-Ray. I must say that it is sad to see him go as he is one of my favorite all time performers. I remember my first memory of actually getting to watch him before I started watching WWF was the Shawn Michaels: Confirmed hits VHS. After seeing his match with Razor from Summerslam I was a instant fan. I tended to watch more WCW during the mid 90's time period for some reason but anytime Michaels was on Raw and I could catch it I definitely would sit and watch. I wish him the best and if this is his true send off I hope it stays that way unlike Flairs.

HBK will always be the man... and he will never go to TNA, he has enough respect for himself not to even consider that... Yeah, because he'd be a moron to consider still doing what he loves, and making decent money, all the while only having to work a few days a week and only drive about an hour to work. Yep, it would be really stupid of Shawn to still be a wrestler but be able to tuck his kids in at night. Speaking of sheep.... Yeah one problem with that. He lives in Texas. TNA is still primarily based in Florida, including iMPACT. He would still have to fly to Florida to participate in the tapings, and then fly back to Texas to be with his family. I dunno where you're from, but Florida is more than an hour's drive from Texas. He wouldn't uproot his family and his entire life to move to Florida, just to run off to TNA, like Ric Flair. I could see, since Flair ran off to wrestle again, WWE giving Shawn a bigger and better send-off for HBK tonight than Flair got 2 years ago. Also, take into consideration, he is 44 years old, soon to be 45 in a few months. He's had more surgeries on his knees than most, plus a back operation that he really should never have returned from. HBK is a man of his word, I really truly believe that, and he said he was done as a full-time active competitor, and I truly believe that he will not be a full-time active competitor anywhere. He's been in WWE for 20 years, and as said before, I don't think he'd jump to the competition. He didn't in the 90's when WCW was stealing away guys like Hogan, Nash, Hall, etc. He won't now.

I can't even express how much of a big deal this is to me. HBK is what got me into wrestling, his style ... everything. I started watching at the tail end of 1996 and HBK will always be my favorite wrestler and there will never EVER be anyone who can top him. I'm so sad he's leaving, but I want him to be in good health and be able to do what he needs for his family so I know it's a good thing and what he wants! HBK FOREVER!!!!!!!!

Ill be honest.....
I dont like Shawn Michaels, Ive never like Shawn Michaels. Im not entertained by Shawn Michaels and I certainly do not respect Shawn Michaels, however he was a hell of a wrestler. Of course I feel he will be back but probably on one of those 1 match a year type things. Nobody hangs it up forever in wrestling unless you die.

Who's Shawn Michaels?
I keed. It wasn't THAT great of a match last night but I did like the ending though. HBK will be missed. He is, without a doubt, the greatest wrestler of all time. He surpassed Flair, Hart, and whoever else you want to add to the list. It's going to be interesting without him.
I do think that he is done for good.

No, he lives in Florida primarily and not Texas. He still owns a house in Texas, but has stated many times that he lives in Florida now, same as Nash, Edge, Christian, etc. He even made a joke once about seeing Edge and Christian more outside of work than at work. So, yeah, no plane to catch, champ. I don't get why everyone seems to forget that HBK didn't jump to WCW because he had a 3 year contract with Vince, that he signed shortly before WM12. He asked for his release after the locker room fight with Bret in 1997, but Vince said no. Shawn didn't go to WCW because he couldn't, not because he didn't want to. I heard an interview with Shawn where he said he was upset that Nash and Hall didn't let him know they were leaving before he signed his contract, since he would have either waited and jumped too, or tried to get a better deal.
