So which match did everyone think was better of their 2 encounters.

I'm going to watch the replay when it catches up (right now it's on HHH/Sheamus), but I think 25 was bit better. That's not to take away from their encounter tonight, though.

WM 26 copied the same basic formula of 25. Last yr it was shocking when hbk kicked out of a tombstone. This year not so much. The only way for this match to top 25 was to have a different ending where hbk won. Since both had the same ending 25 is going to be remembered more.

I feel like 25 was better, i think with a Taker win the most the could have done was equal it, but with an HBK win, it would have been better. Even with the Taker win i dont think it lived up to last years as far as how good the match was. It was still good though.

the handshake at the end made this wrestlemania better im talking match wise. I think HBk/Taker from 26 definantly had more emotion and build up, but as far as what happened bell to bell, 25 was a bit better.

25 - Better match 26 - Better story, but only cause it continued from 25.
Overall, 25 was better and I'm probably biased when I say that, cause I was there live, but it just had more and was more shocking.

I don't know how anybody can say Wrestlemania 26 was better. The match was fantastic, no doubt about it, but Wrestlemania 25 I really felt like the Undertaker might lose with all the near pinfalls. This match, I kinda expected it and knew it was coming. For example, I would've never thought HBK would kick out of the Tombstone before last year, but when he did it last year I knew he would kick out of the first Tombstone Taker gave him tonight.

Tonight's was a whole hell of a lot of emotion, crowd interplay, and false finishes to last year's better spots and actual wrestling. Last year had awesome counters. This year had a table spot. I might lean towards last year's a bit more, but both matches were a million times better than what we normally have to deal with in WWE main events.
That's not bashing WWE (well, not entirely), that's praising Shawn and Taker.

I thought 25 was far better, to be honest. Tonight seemed like a repeat of last year's match with a couple extra spots thrown in to spice it up. It lacked originality. It was still a great match, but the original just tends to have the edge.
The formula at the end this year was just so damn predictable. Kicking out of the tombstone meant nothing - we saw it all last year.

This match, I kinda expected it and knew it was coming. For example, I would've never thought HBK would kick out of the Tombstone before last year, but when he did it last year I knew he would kick out of the first Tombstone Taker gave him tonight. Kind of agreed. I absolutely love both matches. The emotional investment and buildup to this one was superior. But as for actual in-ring quality...last year's would have to take the cake. But the incredible ending to this one and the fact that it may very well be Shawn's last match ever make it just as memorable and epic. Although it wasn't as shocking and didn't have as many "OMG!" moments, this year's match told a better story. Last year they had their elaborate showboaty entrances and they threw everything they had at eachother and kicked out of 263463 moves. Yes that made for an epic match but ultimately it didn't have much emotion to it. It was just a fun, epic match. This year's in-ring action was almost as epic, but the emotion was far superior. With that said, I won't vote because I can't choose. It's like comparing apples to pineapples. Two completely different matches that were both excellent in their own right.

It's hard to repeat greatness, too hard.
The psychology was much different tonight, more emotional storytelling but the wrestling wasn't as sharp and the suspense wasn't as intense as 25's.
Both great but only one blew me away - 25.

25 for sure. This year's felt underwhelming at very best. It was basically submissions and Shawn working Taker's leg for the first 10 or so minutes, then they started doing their old "kick out of each other's finishers" shtick from last time. It wasn't a bad match, but it just felt a little dry. Besides the incredible moonsault-to-announcer's-table spot from HBK, and maybe the jumping tombstone at the end, there wasn't too much to remember from the match. Like, if we are to believe this is Shawn's final match ever, why would he only give the fans 24 minutes?
They could've done a few more spots, that's my verdict. For some reason this year's contest was seven minutes shorter, and in that time frame they could've easily given us a steel steps piledriver or plancha or something. Undertaker also should've made HBK pass out form Hell's Gate, as a sign of Shawn's endless resolve and struggle. Would've made for a much more tense finish instead of the rushed ending we got. Blah. I'm pissed now.

The Deadman showing genuine emotion in that character for the first time and mercy made this one the better match for me entertainment wise. But the first will still stand up in my mind as being the best because obviously, there would have been no sequel without the first run.

I have to say 26, although both have their ups and downs, almost equally great matches, I kinda liked 26 a bit more
