-- With the staggering amount of money WrestleMania brings to its host city each year, Variety.com reports that 14 cities are vying to host WWE’s showcase event over the next few years. WrestleMania brought over $50 million to the local economies of Orlando and Houston in 2008 and 2009 and around 60% of the fans who attended those shows traveled from other states to be there. The article contains quotes from various city officials gushing about the significance of their cities hosting the big event. According to Variety, Miami, Los Angeles, New York City, Detroit, Toronto, Tampa, Vancouver, New Orleans, St. Louis, Jacksonville, Orlando and Houston are now in the running to host WrestleMania 28, 29 and 30. As reported earlier, Atlanta will host next year's WrestleMania XXVII on April 3, 2011.

We already know New York will have WMXXX. It is too soon to go back to Detroit, Orlando and Houston. I think WMXVIII should go to Toronto and WMXIX should go to Miami, although I could see a Wrestlemania in Tampa due to how many WWE wrestlers live there. As long as the WWE is having Summerslam only at the Staples Center every year from now on, I dont think LA should have a Wrestlemania.

I don't know the economics behind the it, but I'd like to see more International WrestleManias. I bet the UK would be a big payday seeing how a WrestleMania has NEVER been there. But like I said, I don't know the extra costs of doing business overseas versus on American soil.
I wish Boston would get another WrestleMania as I'd love to go. But I'm betting the Garden isn't big enough anymore.

Knoxville...Seriously. Outdoors well over 100,000 people. The Big House and Horseshoe are just too cold. As is Penn State. Knoxville might be a lil chilly but its usually fairly warm here. If LA gets SummerSlam then bring mania here and pack the largest North American crowd ever

Pittsburgh FTW!!!
The HOF inductees that could be hometown guys are amazing. Sammartino, Angle, Zybysko, among others.

I don't think you can count on WM 30 being in Madison Square Garden. WWE doesn't care much about tradition these days and by having the event there they bypass a ton of revenue. WWE cares about money above all else. If the event is in NYC they sell around 18000 tickets if it's someplace else they sell 70,000. You do the math on how much cash they would miss out on.

But they do the same thing when they go to Chicago or LA. They know what they are doing. In the long run, yes you will probably make more money, but the WWE is also having to spend more money to be able to hold an event in such a place. And its not just the building, its the staff, bigger set, etc. Also, perhaps a St. Louis is willing to bid more than a Toronto. I still think NYC is a lock for WM30. I'm surprised to see Indy isn't listed in the running, seeing as how they made a push for WM27.

Philadelphia! For Christ's sake! It's been there ONCE, WM15. And Idk about everyone else, but I thought that crowd was pretty damn intense all night. A Philadelphia crowd is one of the best crowds that WWE visits, hands down. You don't need 60-80,000 people at a PPV. A smaller venue would not only make it feel like older times [like I know some people are complaining about] but the crowd could see from pretty much everywhere, as well, and not be in the nosebleed, and have the wrestlers looks like microscopic grains of dirt.

It's so disheartening watching 'Mania and knowing that they'll never have it at Wembley Stadium. It's so annoying, because there's an epic WM just waiting to happen, but it never will happen, because they haven't got the guts to hold it over here.

Hell you probably couldnt even get Shane Douglas to get in since that could be win Shawn Michaels goes in. (We'll assume he doesnt go next year with it being in Atlanta/WCW rumors)

I'm thinking Patriots Place is the only place in the New England area that would possibly work now.
