Then have an Official Yankees Thread. Otherwise why pay any mind to it? Just looks like you guys enjoy it when you keep paying all that attention.
I'd post more in a Yankees thread.

i still dont get why non-yankee fans feel like yankee fans have absolutely ZERO right to complain about ANYTHING because "oh they made the playoffs"
you honestly can sit there and say if your team made the playoffs and got bounced in the first round because they played like crap or were injured, you wouldn't complain AT ALL because it's good enough to get there? seriously don't gimme that crap. EVERY team...EVERY player & EVERY fan wants a World Championship for their team.
Dr. Hulk is a hardcore phillies fan, his team is the odds on favorite to win the WS this year, and he's bitched about Carlos Ruiz plenty of times. You don't see me jumping down his throat saying "WHO CARES?? YOU'RE IN THE PLAYOFFS & YOU WON THE WORLD SERIES 2 YEARS AGO"

How many teams bitched about backing into the playoffs? How many fans did?
Oh right, just the Yankee fans in this thread, Lorenzo actually.
Who bitched with a 6 game lead on a playoff position?
Thats right, Lorenzo and Yankee fans did

The Yankee fans don't get bitched at by ALL baseball fans.... just the ones who don't have anything better to do all weekend, apparently.

I've been a Phillies fan all my life. I suffered through the 90 loss seasons growing up. I dealt with the ridiculous losing seasons after ridiculous losing seasons. I saw the Phillies bring up the rear of the NL East year after year after year. Now I enjoy the fact that the team is actually winning for once in my life. People forget that the Phillies have only been successful for the past 6-8 years or so. Prior to that, they sucked balls.
I bitch about Ruiz all the time. Lorenzo bitches because the Yankees didn't win 115 games this year as he thinks they should. Which is worse? Me bitching about one player on the team or Lorenzo bitching because his team is probably the favorite in the AL and he's not happy that they've made the playoffs. He thinks they should've made the playoffs and won 115 games on top of that. Do you see the difference?
In any case the Phils get the Reds right? I can't say that team really scares me.

With all respect, I think people already understand why you guys bitch... you've all made that clear for months now.
Point I've been trying to make is... why care so much? What's the point? Do you guys think it'll honestly change?
I say if you are a Yankee fan just bitch it up all the time, these guys should be used to it by now and not care so much OR have something better to do than repeat the same things over and over in response.
I am a Yankee fan but not as much as I used to be. For similar reasons that their fans complain about and similar reasons that their non-fans complain about. I don't really have too much to say about them beyond A-rod, I find his career (due to the steroids and how much people want him to fail) interesting.
I would talk more about the Yankees in here and even the Sox and Mets, but I'd probably just get taken to the woodshed.

Only true fans do that Hey uh,, when you gonna actually realize that I am not directly talking to or about you??? Is it gonna be this time, like the 3rd time I've said it? But, you, in turn, have apparently taken a descriptive shot towards me. Ok...

I don't care what any of you say. It's embarrassing. The Yankees are a second place team. That's not my opinion, it's a fact. The Yankees backed into the Playoffs and nobody can deny it, and for the World Champions of 2009 to not even be able to win their own division the next year is ridiculous. It's embarrassing, it's like getting in by default when you don't deserve it after dragging ass for 6 weeks.
And the funny part is, the Rays, Rangers AND Twins all played like crap this weekend and the Yankees couldn't even capitalize because our manager acts like he's trying to get run out of town, our hitters are not even trying out there, and our best pitchers can't get out ROOKIES, SCRUBS, and SCRUB ROOKIES WITH NOTHING TO PLAY FOR.
The two people I blame the most for the Yankees not winning the Division are Joe Girardi and A.J. Burnett. I'm not going to go into Girardi again because honestly I've been over and over and over it so many times that it's not even worth it anymore....but Burnett is another story. If A.J. Burnett had managed to just have a horrible season we would have run away with the division. But instead he decided to lose the most games of any Yankee starter in I think almost 50 years.

I can agree with you for the most part. I have been disgusted with the team's results for a while now and there really is no excuse for most of it. If you guys agonize over it, so be it. What Yankee fan wouldn't say "what the hell?" to a lot of this? Apparently you guys are wrong because fans of all the other team would just say: "who cares that we just lost more games than we won this month, I'm just glad we're in the playoffs, I'm not concerned with our team not playing well at the worst possible time to do so."

I agree. It has nothing to do with being a Yankee fan, if I was a fan of any team that wasn't playing well I would be upset. Nobody wants to see their team play like crap. And anybody who says it's good enough just to get to the Playoffs is full of crap. The ONLY reason to sit through an entire season is to get a chance to win the World Series. Yes, the Yankees are in the Playoffs and will have the opportunity to attempt to get to the World Series and win it, I just personally believe that they haven't played like a team who deserves to be in the Playoffs. The Yankees essentially got saved by the calendar, let's be honest. If there was 1-2 weeks left of the season I'm not so sure they'd be able to hold on, and to me, that is why I don't like the Wild Card. I think people are just turned off by Yankee fans having any type of complaints because as fans of other teams they assume that we have it all. They assume that since our team spends the most money and gets a lot of high priced (usually overrated) players, that we should just be happy. Well I am happy. I'm happy to be a Yankee fan. I'm happy to have had an owner like George Steinbrenner who actually gave a damn about winning when most owners are only concerned with making money. My complaints are with the piss poor job that the manager has done this year, and with the players who have severely underperformed this year. That doesn't mean I'm a whiner, a complainer, or a spoiled little bitch, it means that I wanted to see them play BETTER. Maybe they get hot, maybe we win the World Series....but there's just the pride issue with not winning the Division. And as a Rays player or a Rays fan, you guys should be upset that you guys handed us our ass all year and now we have the same chance as you. It's not fair to the teams that actually won their Division to allow second place teams into the Playoffs. Not being allowed to have home field advantage is not enough of a disadvantage for Wild Card teams. There needs to be a bigger reward and advantage to teams who won their Division and actually earned their spot.

I dont think you understand what backing into the playoffs means, it doesnt mean being 7 games up September 1 with a 95% chance of making it into the playoffs and then...making the playoffs!
Lorenzo, lets be honest, you arent the most leveled headed fan, you do flip out quite often about things. I mean you blame AJ Burnett for the backing into the playoffs...hes sucked all year, Giardi was a clown last year and you still won it, so why bitch about them now!?!?
I mean, you deserve to be in the playoffs when you win X amount of games more than your divisional teams and the Yankees did that, way before September which put them in.
You also hate the Wild Card which is the stupidest thing ever said in this thread, and that says a lot by anyone. Something that is perfectly legit and a good idea for baseball, you hate. The Yankees have it all because they always win! They were in the lead of the division for most of the year and in the lead of the wild card for the rest of the year and you still complained!
Your team was relatively healthy compared to other teams and you still complained and you guys won!! People like me cant stand when Yankee fans bitch because you are 7 games up in first place, someone who sucks has a bad game and YOU FLIP OUT LIKE THE WORLD IS ENDING AND YOU JUST LOST THE SUPER BOWL!
The Yankees actually get the EASIER opponent by going to Minnesota, but again, you continue to complain because you had a tough September.
Nothings ever good enough for you, and if/when you win the World Series, you will be the only person bitching because it was as a Wild Card team.

Nothings ever good enough for you, and if/when you win the World Series, you will be the only person bitching because it was as a Wild Card team. I just feel like more often than not, the Wild Card ends up being a team that had a huge lead and then pissed it away down the stretch and barely hung on. Yeah, the Yankees had a huge lead at one point and were statistically almost guaranteed a Playoff spot, but it just annoys me that they had to settle for 2nd place. 2 more weeks of the season and Boston would be going to the Playoffs and you know it....we got lucky because the clock ran out. We were sinking faster than the Titanic. And I don't think Minnesota is the easy opponent. People sh*t on them like they are some kind of joke and I just don't get it. Pavano is legit, Liriano is legit and has only given up 5 homers at home all year, and that ballpark is going to be cold and it eats up home runs. Plus, the Yankees are 0-9 against the last 9 left handed starters they have faced. The Yankee strategy is get behind and then sit there and wait for home runs that sometimes never show up....I don't think they are going to be able to play that game in Target Field. I would have felt much more comfortable starting off in Yankee Stadium with Game 1 and 2 and then heading to Texas where we have a history of performing well offensively. Plus, I have nightmares of Carl Pavano beating us in a Playoff game more than I have nightmares of 2001 and 2004.

If Carl Pavano beats you guys in the playoffs and knocks the Yankees out, then I will totally agree with you.
I fully expect the Yankees to win in 4, maybe lose to Liriano but thats it
