- We kick things off with a disclaimer, quickly followed by the WWE opening vignette that opens each and every part of WWE programming. Following this, a promo airs, promoting tonight; the next three hours being the most extreme of our lives. It featured John Cena, the WWE Champion and Chris Jericho, the World Heavyweight Champion; and how tonight they'd have to settle the score with their own rivals, Batista and Edge, respectively. It promotes the I Quit and Steel-Cage match, but also advertises CM Punk putting the Straight Edge Society on the line against Rey Mysterio putting his freedom on the line. Tonight, Extreme Rules!
- The opening vignette airs, as it shows us that KFC proudly presents to us viewers, Extreme Rules! We cut to the live arena as the crowd go nuts in Baltimore, Maryland for Extreme Rules; live on pay-per-view here tonight! Michael Cole, Joey Styles and Jerry Lawler, Styles is back on the commentary! Joey tells Michael and King that it is good to be back on commentary; especially for the event that he announced solely; based on extreme!
- MVP and Mark Henry defeated John Morrison and R-Truth in Tag Team Turmoil: Round One, for the WWE Unified Tag Team Championships A sweet opening contest for tonight's pay-per-view, starting things up with the tag team turmoil match, and in this match, two teams start and the rules play out as a standard tag team match; however after one team is eliminated, another will immediately enter, and the last team remaining will be the WWE Unified Tag Team Champions. These two teams have previously competed on SmackDown two weeks ago, as well as Superstars this past Thursday; both teams with one win over the other, but this was the tie-breaker. MVP and Mark Henry were on the game as MVP and John Morrison started off, R-Truth and Morrison having good double-team abilities against MVP. Mark Henry soon got the tag, and R-Truth attempted to take him down, but the 'World's Strongest Man' managed to ground him and just use his weight to his advantage. John Morrison tried to get the tag as MVP and Mark Henry attempted to pick apart the shoulder of R-Truth; MVP eventually trying the Drive-By Kick, but R-Truth blocked it with a forearm, and a spiral kick took down MVP...slowly getting the tag to the 'Shaman of Sexy!'. Morrison rushed into the ring and managed to stun Mark Henry, taking down Montel Vontavious Porter repeatedly, but when Morrison tried a half-leg lariat on Mark, Henry caught him and the World's Strongest Slam did it!
- MVP and Mark Henry celebrated their win in the first round of the Tag Team Turmoil as R-Truth attended to John Morrison, but the theme of The Dudebusters hit, and Curt Hawkins led Caylen Croft and Trent Barreta down to the ring!
- The Dudebusters with Curt Hawkins defeated MVP and Mark Henry in Tag Team Turmoil: Round Two, for the WWE Unified Tag Team Championships A solid second round match in this tag team turmoil, as MVP and Mark Henry seemingly hadn't paced themselves out too well, after an outstanding seven minutes with R-Truth and John Morrison; and Caylen Croft and Trent Barreta opportunised and began to pick apart at MVP's abdomen. Croft and Barreta worked effectively as the duo were beaming after the win over Hart Dynasty this past Friday night on SmackDown. Mark Henry kept trying to reach MVP for a tag, but Croft and Barreta kept stomping away at MVP, and nailing basic moves on MVP, presumably to try and keep their stamina going in this turmoil. MVP eventually dodged a double team attack, and Mark Henry got the tag; the 'World's Strongest Man' running into the ring and battering both Croft and Barreta; even Curt Hawkins, who tried to get involved! Mark set up for the World's Strongest Slam but MVP got the tag, nailing the Drive-By Kick on Barreta the illegal man! Suddenly MVP turned around to get kicked in the face by Croft! Mark Henry fell over the top rope as Hawkins held the ropes down, and The Dudebusters nailed 'The Dudebuster' to eliminate MVP and Mark Henry!
- The Dudebusters celebrated like crazy in the ring as Mark Henry left by himself, MVP left in the ring looking at Mark heading up the aisleway, as the theme of The Hart Dynasty hit! Natalya brought her boys, Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith down the aisleway as they were looking for retribution!
- The Hart Dynasty with Natalya defeated The Dudebusters with Curt Hawkins in Tag Team Turmoil: Round Three, for the WWE Unified Tag Team Championships A pretty hot tag team match this time around, as Trent Barreta and Caylen Croft had seemingly retained most of their stamina from MVP and Mark Henry's attempt at defeating them, and so when Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith hit the ring, The Hart Dynasty thought they stood a chance at dominating the momentum side of things, at least in the opening moments, but Croft and Barreta fired back quickly! Barreta and Croft quickly eliminated Smith and attempted The Dudebuster on Kidd, but Natalya grabbed Croft's foot and dragged him to the outside! Croft grabbed Natalya, but Natalya slapped him across the face, then grappling with Curt Hawkins! Smith gave Hawkins a heavy right as Kidd nailed a hurricanrana and followed up perfectly, the Sharpshooter making Barreta tap out!
- The Hart Dynasty celebrate their victory before Caylen Croft and Curt Hawkins hit the ring, jumping them from behind! Trent Barreta got to his feet and The Dudebusters connected with The Dudebuster on Tyson Kidd! David Hart Smith was given the Laugh Riot from Hawkins! The Dudebusters may be eliminated, but they gave ShoMiz a reason to be joyous, as the WWE Unified Tag Team Champions headed for the ring!
- The Hart Dynasty with Natalya defeated ShoMiz in Tag Team Turmoil: Round Four, for the WWE Unified Tag Team Championships An epic shocker here, as The Miz and Big Show seemed so confident as they walked to the ring, knowing that Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith had just experienced a true beating at the hands of The Dudebusters. Miz and Show worked the ribs of the smaller, more defenseless Tyson Kidd, Show tossing him around like a ragged doll whereas The Miz continued to use dirty strikes such as kicking Kidd in the ribs and taunting to try and make the WWE Universe hate him more, and to make Kidd feel more rib damaging pain. Smith soon made the tag though, and a shoulder tackle took down Big Show! The Miz tried to swing for him but Smith broke free, Miz nailed the Skull-Crushing Finale on an unsuspecting Kidd, but Smith nailed a Running Powerslam, Kidd then hooking both legs for three!
- The Hart Dynasty remained on the canvas, attempting to rest for the time they have been given, The Miz going irate! Big Show was down at ringside as Miz got up and started yelling at the seven-foot tall giant! Miz slapped Show as Show got on the apron, but Show just nailed Miz with a massive Knockout Punch! Miz was down as Show stormed up the aisleway to loud cheers; The Hart Dynasty finally regaining energy...until the theme of Cryme Tyme hit!
- The Hart Dynasty with Natalya defeated Cryme Tyme in Tag Team Turmoil: Round Five, to WIN the WWE Unified Tag Team Championships Cryme Tyme came to the ring expecting an easy conclusion to the turmoil match, but they were given something very much different, as Jayson Paul started off with a wounded Tyson Kidd; Kidd managing to get in multiple shots on Paul, even risking it and nailing a hurricanrana sending Paul into the ribs of Shad Gaspard. David Hart Smith was the muscleman for Hart Dynasty, and traded blows with Gaspard as the two young teams both knew what it meant to be the WWE Unified Tag Team Champions for the first time ever. Kidd continued his offense as Smith soon got involved, both of Dynasty soon suffering a double rock bottom from Gaspard; Paul attempting to put the match to an end with a G9 on Kidd, but Smith took Paul out, and Gaspard got set up; Kidd and Smith nailing the Hart Attack out of nowhere on Gaspard, the cover! One, two, three!
- The Hart Dyasty with Natalya defeated Cryme Tyme, ShoMiz, The Dudebusters with Curt Hawkins, R-Truth and John Morrison & MVP and Mark Henry to WIN the WWE Unified Tag Team Championships in Tag Team Turmoil
- The Hart Dynasty celebrated their hard-fought victory breathlessly, as Natalya handed her boys their well-earned, well-deserved WWE Unified Tag Team Championships; and Tyson Kidd and David Smith hugged her, then getting on seperate turnbuckles, The Hart Dynasty have finally succeeded and became the WWE Unified Tag Team Champions!
- We go to outside the First Mariner Arena, as Michael Cole attempts to discuss The Hart Dynasty becoming WWE Unified Tag Team Champions at long last; Joey Styles then simply overshadowing him by saying how warm and bright it looked outside, and how hot it was inside the First Mariner Arena! Cole simply went quiet as Lawler and Styles exchanged banter.
- Going to the interview area, we see Big Show as he is standing by Josh Mathews, a grin on his face as Mathews asks Show why he did what he did to The Miz out there. Show talked about how he and The Miz were never friends; they were merely accomplishes for a matter of months, and it's taken him four months to finally break away from him! He reminded Mathews of Chris Jericho and his relationship in Jerishow, and how Jericho actually respected him! Mathews asked Show what his target is now; Show simply saying that he was finally done! Show stated how he was going to go home and relax with the family for a while, and when people actually find what the company is like without him, then he'll be getting their calls; and that's when he comes back! Show walks away with a grin on his face as Mathews sends us back to the arena.
- Christian defeated Jack Swagger to retain the WWE United States Championship in a Tables match Not a bad match here, as Mr Money in the Bank was seemingly aiming to hurt Christian, and take his WWE United States Championship; adding that to his two-time, two-time 'All American-American' status, and his Money in the Bank briefcase achievement. Swagger attempted to pound away at Christian in the early goings, but Christian was simply too tough for Swagger to handle; and Swagger just kept being taken off guard by 'Captain Charisma', Christian downing Swagger with many moves, but when attempting the Killswitch, Swagger tossed him over the top rope; and Swagger started setting up a table! Swagger appeared to be trying for the Gutwrench Powerbomb, but Christian reversed it into a hurricanrana, but Swagger simply kneed the underneath of the table; Swagger breaking the table in his fall! The official waved it off, however, as Christian continued to brawl with Swagger in and out of the ring, struggling for the win and the table breaking victory. Swagger soon went after the shoulder of Christian, and with this, he set a table up and went for the Gutwrench Powerbomb from the top rope through a table, but Christian struggled out, and Christian reversed it into a bulldog from the middle turnbuckle, through the table!
- Christian celebrated his win over Jack Swagger, as the WWE United States Championship had been successfully defended by 'Captain Charisma'! Christian taunted Swagger's pushups routine, before heading for the back as Swagger was left holding his ribs, the Money in the Bank briefcase held tightly against his gut.
- Cutting to the backstage area, we watch as Bret Hart is taping his wrists in the pink; Randy Orton walking in as the 'Hit Man' asked Orton about tonight, and how he'd fend for himself in the street fight. Orton told Hart that he may have had a stroke in the past, and his condition and wellbeing is under average, but Orton promises that he will not let anything happen to Bret tonight that will put Hit Man in a painful place. Bret asked Randy if he thought he was a mere weakling; Hart telling Orton that he'll kick Ted Dibiase and Cody Rhodes' scrawny little asses! Orton smirked before leaving.
- We go to the backstage area as Triple H was shown, a sledgehammer in hand and he stood with Josh Mathews; Mathews asking Triple H for his comments before the Last Man Standing match tonight. Triple H told Mathews that it didn't matter that much; all he has to say to Josh is that the WWE Universe don't call him the 'Cerebral Assassin' for nothing! Triple H leaves as Mathews is baffled.
- Sheamus defeated Triple H in a Last Man Standing match A brutal match here, really brutal. Triple H came to the ring clutching his ever dangerous sledgehammer, and it truly seemed as though PG had been lost, as Sheamus fought Triple H away and used a harsh bicycle kick to keep Triple H's teeth shut! Sheamus continued to beat at the 'Cerebral Assassin' whilst yelling at Hunter, telling him he was no 'Cerebral Assassin', instead a coward! Triple H wrived in pain as Sheamus continued to pound away at Triple H, Sheamus throwing Hunter outside of the ring violently; no mercy for 'The Game!'. Sheamus tried to torture Triple H, slamming him into the steel steps countless times; trying to blind Triple H with a fire extinguisher; nailing Hunter with the ring bell, but nothing seemed to work as Triple H kept struggling back up to his feet! Triple H soon retalliated, with steady lefts, and hard rights! Triple H soon grabbed a sledgehammer, and he rammed it hard into the gut of Sheamus! Sheamus fell to all fours as his mouth started pouring out blood, the official yelling to stop the match because of the blood! Triple H looked at the audience, and then took a lead pipe left lying on the ground, laying the official out! Triple H nailed a DDT as Sheamus was down, the crowd counting the seconds in which Sheamus was down, but there was no referee to count him out! Another referee finally came, but Sheamus got up at nine; Triple H then setting up for the Pedigree, but Sheamus tossed him over the top rope! Sheamus and Triple H traded blows up the rampway, as Sheamus nailed the bicycle kick on Hunter! Sheamus picked Triple H's body up, and he nailed the Celtic Cross off the stage! Right through three tables! Sheamus celebrated as the official counted the lifeless Triple H out!
- Sheamus spat out blood in his mouth as he clutched his stomach; and Sheamus has eliminated Triple H! The official raised Sheamus' hand in victory as many officials came to help Triple H; many other officials coming to help the unconscious referee too! Triple H remained lifeless in the pit beside the stage and aisleway as the 'Irish Warrior' celebrated!
- We cut from an intense promo to a sexy one, as Kelly Kelly was shown in the divas locker room; Jerry Lawler wanting to know why the camera man was there and how he had gotten in! Kelly was talking to the Bella Twins as well as Mickie James, Gail Kim, Tiffany and many other fan favorite divas, but suddenly Beth Phoenix's voice was heard, and she got up, wishing Kelly luck in her bikini contest, and becoming WWE Divas Championship; because she has to face the winner of that in a WWE Divas Champion vs WWE Womens Champion match tomorrow night on RAW, and that she needs to represent her brand well tonight. Kelly nods her head, then leaving as Melina is shown! Melina wishes Kelly luck as Kelly continues walking.
- An advertisement airs, promoting tomorrow night's edition of RAW, a three-hour special for the WWE Draft! Also, we will find out the official RAW general manager, the WWE Champion and World Heavyweight Champion will collide; the WWE Womens Champion and WWE Divas Champion will collide; and everybody in the WWE will definitely have a new home! RAW, tomorrow night on USA from 7PM Eastern!
- A graphic appears, showing John Cena and Batista, and they will endure a serious amount of pain in I Quit momentarily, the WWE Championship on the line. Michael Cole tries to talk a lot about it seriously, but Joey Styles again intervenes and interrupts; Styles and Jerry Lawler discussing how Cena and Batista have dominated the modern WWE era. A video package then airs, recapping the history these two have had.
- John Cena defeated Batista to retain the WWE Championship in an I Quit match An epic match here, as these two came on to compete a little earlier than anticipated, but these two still managed to put on an amazing show of violence in this hard-fought, physical battle. Batista was looking for surrender, the WWE Championship and whatever else was left of John Cena, but he found great difficulty as Cena was out to get a hold of Batista and make him quit as well! Cena was all over Batista, a chain in hand as he attempted to choke out 'The Animal' at times as well, Cena even applying the STF with the chain around Batista's neck which almost gave the WWE Champion victory. Batista was able to escape though, and the action resumed, Batista trying anything and everything, from spearing Batista into the ring steps to a Spinebuster through the announce table; even the Batista Bomb on the steel steps wouldn't do it! Cena kept fighting as Batista was cut open on the forehead by Cena; no official coming to stop the match here; no interruptions, and no holds barred! Batista and Cena fought longer, Cena managing to nail the Attitude Adjustment from the top rope, but it wouldn't do it as Batista would not surrender! Cena then took it up a notch, applying the STF on 'The Animal', but whenever he released the pressure, Cena would headbutt Batista's face into the canvas! Batista lasted three minutes and twelve seconds, finally surrendering!
- Batista held his face and remained face down on the canvas as the theme of John Cena played; the WWE Championship his once and for all! Cena celebrated to a loud reaction, as the crowd were actually applauding these two overly criticized performers for an outstanding match. Cena held his WWE Championship high, as Cena was going to face Chris Jericho or Edge tomorrow night on RAW!
- An advertisement aired, promoting the next time WWE would be on pay-per-view; Over The Limit, live on pay-per-view on Sunday 23rd May 2010, from Detroit, Michigan!
- We cut to the backstage area as The Legacy were standing by with Josh Mathews, and Ted Dibiase told Josh Mathews that he's pretty confident that they will make an impact tonight against not only their former leader, Randy Orton, but also Bret 'Hit Man' Hart. Cody Rhodes calls The Legacy the true Hitmen, and that tonight, they would dominate, that Randy may have gotten the best of them at WrestleMania XXVI, but now is their time; the future is now and they will evaporate the past with a furious blast!
- Maryse defeated Kelly Kelly to retain the WWE Divas Championship in a Bikini Contest Jerry Lawler was in the ring, as he stated that it had been a long time since the WWE sanctioned a bikini contest, and reminded the fans of how it worked, but instead then introduced the WWE divas; Alicia Fox, Eve, Natalya, Gail Kim, Brie Bella, Michelle McCool, Jillian, Nikki Bella, Layla, Melina, Tiffany, Beth Phoenix, Mickie James, Katie Lea and Vickie Guerrero! The fifteen divas all stood in the ring, the fan favorites on one side and the disliked divas on the others. King introduced the contestants, as Kelly Kelly began to make her way down the rampway, wearing her robe as the number one contender had previously impressed the WWE Universe with her sexiness, whereas Maryse seemed natural in glamor. Maryse slowly walked down the aisleway in her gown, as she had the WWE Divas Championship in hand; King told her to hurry up, and there they were; head to head in the centre of the ring! Lawler seperated the two as he told the fans that the diva with more votes will be the WWE Divas Champion as the crowd popped. Kelly went first, as Maryse told Jerry that the 'amateur' can go first. Kelly unrobed to show the fans some ass, wearing a risque blue thong and bra, as Maryse then shoved her backwards! Maryse unrobed to show her bikini; very skimpy in tiger colored and barely covering her body! The crowd popped her actually, as Lawler went around the divas! The supposed final poll was 7-7, as King asked the divas who hadn't yet voted; and Vickie Guerrero yelled 'excuse me!', voting Maryse! Maryse barely gets away with the belt!
- Maryse hugged Vickie Guerrero as she had barely escaped with the WWE Divas Championship, Maryse thanking each and every diva that had voted for her; Vickie Guerrero, Michelle McCool, Layla, Jillian, Eve, Alicia Fox, Brie Bella and Katie Lea, before Kelly Kelly looked at Maryse and got angry, dropkicking her in the ass! Maryse fell down as Nikki Bella, Natalya, Gail Kim, Mickie James, Beth Phoenix, Tiffany and Melina attacking the Maryse supporters! The divas all started brawling as Maryse slid out of the ring; Kelly in hot persuit as Maryse escaped under the ring apron with the WWE Divas Championship; Kelly went under with Maryse and came back out with Maryse's bikini! Kelly laughed and threw them at the crowd as she left.
- Michael Cole joked about the whole ordeal as Joey Styles noted that it had been a crazy segment, and that Kelly Kelly was hot. Cole disagrees, telling Styles that Maryse looked hotter; Styles sarcastically noting that Cole just loved her for being naked right now as they speak. There's tension noticably before Jerry Lawler arrives back on commentary, and Cole goes quiet yet again! A graphic appears for Rey Mysterio and CM Punk; the Straight Edge Society on the line in a Dog Collar match; as Styles and Lawler prepare it. A video package then airs, recapping all the points leading to this point.
- Before going to the arena, we see CM Punk in the backstage corridor, right in the Gorilla Position; with Serena, Luke Gallows and Darren Young all lined up. Punk tells Darren first that at first, he thought he was a rotten little kid with the hopes and dreams of a future alcoholic law-wrecker. But he saved him, and he's proud of Young. Punk tells Young that if it ends tonight, then he wants Young to promise allegience to the Straight Edge Society in spirit, and for him to win NXT for the Society. He wishes him luck. Punk tells Luke Gallows that he's the man that he originally saved, and started this cult with. He tells Gallows that without him, he can be a powerful part of the WWE for his Straight Edge personality, telling Gallows to continue dominating and impressing many with his raw animal strength. Gallows nods as Punk finally sees Serena, and he hugs her, kissing her forehead. He tells her that he can see her bringing Straight Edge to the womens division; telling Serena that she can be the first ever Straight Edge WWE Divas or WWE Womens Champion if she tried. He tells Serena that if he loses tonight, he'll always be with her in spirit, and that she should never forget that. Punk walks away, leaving with a Straight Edge salute to his projects.
Rey Mysterio defeated CM Punk in a Dog Collar match; Due to stipulations, the Straight Edge Society has been disbanded An amazingly brutal match here, as Rey Mysterio came out wearing black, as CM Punk certainly wasn't in the mood for a speech. Punk and Mysterio just rammed each other at one another so much in this, it was unbelievable. Mysterio unleashed a side of the little big man that we had never ever seen before, as the little man proved himself as being no joke, or pushover like Jimmy Wang Yang this past Friday on SmackDown. During the match, the Straight Edge Society were shown watching in concern and hope that their Messiah would win, and that the Straight Edge Society would grow. But Mysterio wouldn't go down, as Punk continued to pound on Mysterio with heavy forearms and stiff kicks, Mysterio starting to bleed through his mask! Punk started tearing at the mask, but Rey kept fighting; Punk choking Mysterio with the chain, and then continuing to tap the turnbuckles, but every time Mysterio refused to allow Punk to touch the final pad! Mysterio soon used the chain as a weapon too, slamming it into the face of Punk and ramming it into his forehead; opening a cut on Punk's forehead as well! Mysterio continued, choking Punk for moments before the 'Straight Edge Messiah' collapsed on the middle rope, Mysterio nailing a short-circuit 619! Mysterio was then trapped though, as the chain was in the middle rope; Dropping the Dime impossible! Mysterio then climbed over the top rope and dragged on the chain, Punk choking for many minutes before finally falling to the canvas, almost death! Mysterio untangled himself from around the ropes and managed to carry Punk's dead weight around, but Punk revived again! Punk fired back and nailed Mysterio with many lefts and rights, a final burst of energy; the Straight Edge Society's last stand! Punk went for the GTS, but Mysterio got out of it and tapped one corner! Punk then dragged Mysterio in and went for the GTS again, but Mysterio escaped and kicked the second pad! Mysterio whipped Punk into the third corner, but Punk leapfrogged backwards, Mysterio stealing third but Punk wrapped the chain around Mysterio's neck! Mysterio faded and faded as Punk set up for the GTS, and he nailed it, but Mysterio collapsed and touched fourth!
- CM Punk collapsed dead instantly as Rey Mysterio used the top rope to keep himself up! After about twenty minutes of physical torture and conflict on one another; Mysterio had mastered the Dog Collar match! Mysterio was helped up as he rolled out of the ring, Mysterio happy and joyful; mask ripped and his skin torn, Mysterio used the last tiny bit of energy he had to escape the ring and find freedom, as he crawled to the back, posing to the crowd on the way out! CM Punk remained flat on the canvas, face buried deep in the canvas as the bloody Dog Collar remain around his neck. Darren Young, Serena and Luke Gallows all stand on the rampway, almost mourning the 'Straight Edge Messiah', as Straight Edge Society had come to a dominant close, here at Extreme Rules!
- A graphic appeared as the crowd popped; Randy Orton and Bret Hart taking on The Legacy, next! A video package then aired, recapping the feud up to this point.
- We go to Edge in the backstage area suddenly, as he is preparing mentally for the World Heavyweight Championship Steel-Cage showdown with Chris Jericho. Joey Styles noted the tape and brace on Edge's well-documented tendon, as it has definitely been weakened by competing as of late; and he will either survive or leave hurt, or with the World Heavyweight Championship tonight.
- The Legacy defeated Randy Orton and Bret Hart in a Street Fight As Bret Hart was almost unable to even run let alone compete, this match was basically just Randy Orton trying to protect Bret 'Hit Man' Hart from being attacked by The Legacy members, Ted Dibiase and Cody Rhodes. Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton started things off, as the match featured almost no weapons at all in the early moments, but as soon as Randy Orton seemed to be dominating, Ted Dibiase slid in a steel chair just in case. Orton managed to take it out, though, nailing a dropkick and sending the steel chair back into Dibiase's face! Rhodes and Dibiase soon however managed to gain momentum, and the two began to merely stomp away at their former leader. Rhodes nailed the Cross-Rhodes on Orton, right on the chair as Orton kept squirming; Ted Dibiase nailing the Dream Street on the chair as well. Howeve, no matter what, The Legacy just didn't go for the cover, and that's when Bret Hart got involved, heading inside the ring and trading blows with Dibiase and Rhodes! Hart helped Orton to his feet as Bret and Orton steadily clotheslined Rhodes out of the ring, as Dibiase was given an RKO! Orton covered, but was baffled as it appeared as though the official was refusing to count! Cody Rhodes then got back into the ring and laid Orton down with a steel chair [protected headshot], Rhodes then helping Dibiase up! Orton soon got back up, though, and he took down both of The Legacy! Orton nailed the RKO on Rhodes as he was once again by the official refusing too count, but Cody then rolled Bret up, and stole three!
- The crowd booed loudly as Cody Rhodes rolled out of the ring with the victory in his hands; especially over Bret Hart! Randy Orton jumped up in anger and shock as Ted Dibiase then returned to his feet, nailing the Dream Street again on Orton! Dibiase grabbed Bret Hart as Cody Rhodes joined Dibiase in the ring; the two about to lay out the 'Hit Man', but Rhodes suddenly laid Dibiase out! Hart rolled out of the ring as Rhodes nailed the Cross Rhodes on Dibiase, standing tall! Rhodes left as the situation was so confusing!
- We go to Chris Jericho as he was shaking a cell in the backstage area, and he knows he is in for a war against Edge next, the World Heavyweight Championship on the line in a Steel-Cage match.
- A graphic appears, showing Jericho and Edge, as they will fight next for the World Heavyweight Championship in a steel cage match! A video package then plays, reviewing the past of these two men up to this point.
- We go to the announcers, as Michael Cole was about to say something about Extreme Rules tonight, but Joey Styles cut him off, but Cole overspoke! Cole told Joey that he's only returned tonight, and suddenly he's the boss around here, when he's been busting his ass around on commentary and been criticized for thirteen years! Whereas Styles gets the internet praise for working on WWE.com, for being in the original ECW; Cole tells Styles that this is all a conspiracy against him because nobody likes him! Cole tells Styles that he has been given the job of keeping people excited, and he does it without screaming like a complete nerd or an overexcited baby! Cole leaves King and Styles to announce the main event as Styles and Lawler are left stunned!
- Edge defeated Chris Jericho to WIN the World Heavyweight Championship in a Steel-Cage match This was it; the final chance for these two men to compete in such an amazing match, and these two really pulled it off. Chris Jericho and Edge with the history, dating back to being mere Canadians in the big league of the WWE, now this was their moment to shine; main eventing against one another, live on pay-per-view for the World Heavyweight Championship! Jericho tried to sneak his way ahead of the 'Rated R Superstar' as Edge kept up with Jericho; Jericho just kept attempting to escape from the steel-cage, though; but Edge refused to allow it! Edge began to pound away at the World Heavyweight Champion, pulling at Jericho's legs, and trying to work away at his tendons! Jericho tried the same, it working as Edge tried climbing the ropes whilst climbing out of the ring, but Jericho crotched him and Edge was in a tree of woe position by his bad tendon. The battle raged on as both men brawled back and forth; Edge nailed his SPEAR. Jericho nailing the Codebreaker; the official just couldn't count three, though, and these two chojins continued to fuel each other with adrenaline! Jericho eventually nailed the Codebreaker and attempted to escape, reaching the top, but Edge got up as well! Edge and Jericho traded fists in such a dangerous, and precarious position at the top, but a haymaker from Edge and Jericho fell fifteen feet to the canvas! Edge then dropped down from the cage!
- Edge was given the World Heavyweight Championship, as it took a year to do it; but he had finally overcame Chris Jericho and triumphed as the World Heavyweight Champion! Edge celebrated on the rampway to loud cheers as Jericho cried in the ring; the 'Rated R Superstar' holding the belt high as Extreme Rules came to a close!
