The Infidel is a 2010 British comedy film directed by Josh Appignanesi and written by David Baddiel. The film stars Omid Djalili as Mahmud Nasir, a British Muslim who goes through an identity crisis when he discovers he was adopted as a child and born to a Jewish family.
Plot Mahmud Nasir is a loving husband, doting father and something of a “relaxed” Muslim. His son Rashid wishes to get married but to do so the Nasir family must receive the blessing of his fiancée's new step-father, a devout Muslim cleric.
Trying to act the devout family is made that much more difficult by the revelation that Mahmud was adopted as a baby and born Jewish - his real name is Solly Shimshillewitz.
As Mahmud tumbles headlong into a full scale identity crisis, the only person he can turn to is Lenny, a drunken Jewish cabbie who agrees to give him lessons in Jewishness, which start with how to dance like Topol.
Quite an intriguing plotline - what does everyone think of this film?

It actually looks really good. I'm quite a fan of Omid so I definetly want to see this. Laughed when I saw the birth cetificate woman was in a wheel chair

My local Odeon is showing this from Friday, so I might see it, but it's not high on my list.
