I saw in Wal-Mart today that an Emerson TV is on sale for $168. It includes a DVD player and is LCD/HD. This means I can finally have HD in my bedroom for when I don't feel like staying in the living room. The TV is a 19" which isn't bad. My bedroom isn't huge so a big TV would be a bad move. I currently have a TV from 7 years ago which works like a charm, but takes up some space. I don't know, but any opinions? An upgrade might be cool, but it is almost $200.

I think you have the money to spend right now yes. You need to treat your self every one and again anyways. It is smaller, newer, and comes with a DVD player/HD so you can get more privacy. I say go for it, and enjoy your new T.V.

Seriously, reading this makes me want to find a good deal on a TV with my OT filled paycheck this week. I say go for it if you have the cash to spare.

If you have the money I think you should, seems like a good deal.

For me, HD doesn't warrant an upgrade at 19".
But then again, if you can afford it...might as well. My advice would be to save a little and go a little bigger. Prices are only going down for something nicer.

When I made the switch to an HD tv I was STUNNED at what I was missing. I hate watching regular tv now, lmao. Like everyone else is saying, if youve got the cash, get it.

19 seems small, 32 seems to be the standard as you ahave to take into account its widescreen so 19 may have been decent sized for a fullscreen set its small for wide. anyways yeah upgrade to HD, I still havent but I should be for my birthday.

I'm using that exact TV as my PC monitor. I think it's great for a cheap HD one.

Exactly as said. If you have the money, do it. You said it's an Emerson 19" LCD HDTV with a DVD player in it, it very well may be the same as the one I just got for Christmas last year. I love the thing. My biggest gripe with using my brother's TV was when gaming, the font was way too fuzzy and unreadable. Now with this TV, everything is so crisp and readable, and I don't miss any instructions. Plus, it's nice to have a DVD player again and not have to play movies on my 360 constantly. And the size is incredible. I will take a pic of where mine is and show you how it fits in the space I got it.
