Or am I the only one? When i collected Jakks it was always OK they got the new stuff in and then when i stopped and went into the toy store for w/e it was wow these look horrible. With the Mattel line i find myself getting pretty excited to find new stuff in the store. I couldn't find Basic 3 for my life when i finally found it i kinda marked out in the aisle a little lol. Anyone else get excited now?

definitely...i tend to let out a slightly loud "Yes!" whenever i find something new... couple weeks ago i marked out,and ran to the endcap with a big smile on my face when i saw they had restocked at WM,only to find elite 2 on the pegs...  |

Yeah, my wife is always telling me to slow down as I get closer to the toy aisle. I'm 24 now and still get excited when I see the shelves full. I guess that would be one of the many reasons I am still collecting.

i only get excited when i have money on me lol
i can't go into a store that sells figs without checking what they have, and im not gonna lie i die a little when i find something cool but don't have money
but when i do have money i grab it off the peg really quick and look around to make sure nobody saw haha

Im 21 Years old and said i'd stop at Jakks, yet I have a collection of about 12 or so Mattel's. The Elite Figures are just amazing, and the Basics are pretty great as well. The Detail, articulation, scale... It's all pretty awesome to be honest.

Definitely!!!! But most of the time, i check my email for new updates and my smile widens everytime i see, "please come down to the store and have a look" :-)

Ugh I hate finding new stuff! It's the worst!
I remember when I found Elite Christian at Target a few weeks back. I just sat down right there in the aisle and started crying. Worst feeling in the world.

I'm 21 and although I just started collecting again (didnt collect for about the last 5 years), I use to buy stuff nearly every week or so before. I have bought tons of Mattel so far but have everything thats out that I've wanted. I cant wait for the next stuff to come out. I really like to hunt for them and even take some longer drives to see if I can find em. |

Only reason I get excited is most of the time I have to go through 15 stores to finally find one store that has half the series left. haha this, usually why i don't even bother hunting for figs at retail cause 9 out of 10 times there is just a random Cody or Rey hanging there but every so often I stumble upon a store with a little selection and get pretty stoked over it. |

Mattel has renewed my excitement when I find a new set or a certain figure I am looking for. Like from 2007 and on to the end of the Jakks WWE contract, when I saw a new set, my reaction was kinda like "Ah. They have [insert series/figure here]." But now that Mattel has the contract and their figures are really awesome, it's kinda like "*GASP* OMG THEY HAVE [insert series/figure here]! I gotta get at least one of them!"
Weird how it works like that. And I am closing in on 40 Mattel figures, and that makes more than my Jakks total from 2007-end 2009 combined. I really lost faith in Jakks and hardly bought any of their figures from 2007 on.
