The thing that people fail to understand is that even if you just so happened to find a MOC Dusty with discolored boots, that would just establish that the discoloration took place while it was in the package. Plastic can still age and degrade, even if it is in package. All these discolored figures were not around back in the day. I can assure you that. I knew many people with complete collections and saw all of the figures in the stores. Time, the elements, and aging can do wonders to the appearance of action figures.
There was no conscious change in production that decided to use yellow plastic for Dusty's boots. Think about it logically. I had a mail away Hogan that was displayed by a window and his one arm turned a completely different dark tan color. The paint on his face and bandana turned a much lighter shade. This does not make him a variant or error. It was a casualty of 17 years of aging and damage from the elements. Figures in package that are displayed can also experience this same change. I've picked up figures from flea markets that are completely different shades of what they should be. Don't waste your money on people trying to make an extra buck on people's false hopes that there are new different colored figures magically appearing after almost 20 years.

What I dont understand is the tanner upper body and white hair !!! Its not only the yellow boots!!!! How can half of his upper body and hair be different and darker than the regular version !!! I'm holding this half yellow boots figure in my hand now. the front of the hair is the white and i can see it darker in the back. the yellow dots are als brighter in the back.

I guess my pictures aren't that clear. The front of the legs are yellow boots and pale...the back of the legs are normal skin color and white boots. But if someone wants this "variant", it's for sale.

I'm wondering... How many people here have a yellow boots dusty ? My next question is how much did you pay for it ?

The thing that always amuses me is that the people who refuse to believe that this is simply due to ageing, are also the same people who happen to own the figure in question..... or are trying to sell it....

Example? Read the threads/discussions from the past few months.... We have the same conversation every other week here. lol ;D
