MOC Yellow Boots Dusty? I've never seen one. Hasbro can't confirm anything.

Just because it is in a package, doesn't mean the paint and plastic can't age. I've many weird MOC figures before that have interesting color changes. If you've ever seen vintage star wars figures or other brands, color changing in the plastic and paint is quite normal and never rewarded with a higher value added to the figure. But whatever, people can spend their money on whatever they want.

Yeah, that's why nowadays a lot of these "variants" come out when the truth is some people just on purpose leave them out on the sun to make a color change. And others would spend $$$ to get these. So, buyers beware if it's really legitimate stuff you buy.

hmmm... i do see where you're coming from but then how about MOC dustys that have the yellow boots variant?? No yellow boots versions exist MOC. Hence it is obviously just deterioration of the figure from exposure to light/oxidisation etc.

My bad guys... I always had the misconception that there was an MOC yellow boots dusty released before in that case, im very much open to the idea that the yellow boots variant may be due to ageing/exposure to sun...

That's what I started upon receiving my "yellow" boots Dusty; mine has only half-yellow boots

This can also happen Packed!

This can also happen Packed! Sigh.... I think it is a matter for common sense really. You could make your "because you never have seen does not mean that they are not real" argument to try and justify the existance of Bigfoot/Loch Ness Monster too.... but you have to face the facts of science in regards to the way plastics react when placed in adverse conditions. The only way a carded version of the Yellow boots figure would occur is if the bubble is no longer airtight, or the carded figure had been left in direct sunlight etc. in which case you would see that the card is faded and the bubble plastic will actually begin to cloud/yellow also. It is always interesting to own the figures that look a little different from standard, but these should not be considered more valuable, as they are just poorly conditioned regular figures. Rather than paying more money and getting ripped off, just buy the standard figure and leave it outside in the sunlight for a week or so.

I posted pictures a few weeks back of my 4 Dusty figures. 2 of them had white boots, 1 had half white & half yellow, and 1 had yellow boots. We had roughly the same discussion about this back then.

I realize that there are no real figures! I was just about sure that it also figures with yellow boots, MOC! NOT MORE AND NOT LESS! That some people have to put everything on a gold scale

Bob We seem to be having this discussion every month it's good that it always sparks interest but i think we just end up repeating ourselves, one group of posters think it's sun damage/oxidation and another group think it's a legit error/variant - this will never change

Interestingly both these figures have the paler legs and whiter hair though.
